Just back from the Great Northern Hotel. Stayed one night with my mother.. fantastic!! The room was really large and spacious, beautiful decor and beds that you just don't want to get up from. Everything, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Staff are so lovely and welcoming... any staff member we came across was so friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We cannot fault the hotel, and would say if its bundoran you want .. then it has to be the Great Northern Hotel!!! 😁

We loved the Great Northern Hotel. The staff was friendly, the food was great - both Irish Breakfast and dinner - and the rooms were clean and spacious. It's a short walk to the beach, as well as into Bundoran, where there are lots of other pub, music, and food options. Highly recommended! And if you're a golfer, play the Bundoran course that wraps around the hotel and stretches over to the ocean.

Hôtel vieillot avec pas mal de choses à réparer ou nettoyer!
Le petit déjeuner n’est vraiment pas terrible, rien de très bon et très peu de choix.
La clientèle un samedi soir fut très bruyante jusqu’au milieu de la nuit, et avec des portes qui laissent passer tous les bruits nous avons mal dormi….

Friendly and helpful staff. Food good. Dreadfully outdated en-suite a real let down: chipped paintwork, mouldy grouting, primitive shower and facilities. Total contrast to the public areas which were up to date, comfortable and well presented. A good hotel sadly let down by the standard of the rooms.

We have just come back from a two night stay at the Great Northern. The location on the cliffs surrounded by the golf course is second to none and, since we had the most amazing weather, we were able to take lots of cliff and beach walks from the front door. There has been a lot of modernisation to the hotel in recent years and the room we had was beautiful and spacious with a sea view and a gorgeous bathroom. Beds were very comfortable and we were not disturbed at all at night despite the hotel being busy which is always a concern for me when staying in a hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough for you. The food is very good - you will definitely not go hungry here! There was live music every evening and a great atmosphere in the bar but if you prefer a quieter time there is a lovely newly refurbished area off the main lobby where you can relax and watch the world go by. Thanks for a lovely stay - we hope to be back soon.

Lovely midweek break. The hotel is very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous made all the more so by Jackie, a wonderful dining manager. She made us feel so welcome when we arrived and hugged us all goodbye. A lovely hotel experience made so by all the wonderful staff and the night time entertainment was a great bonus. Definitely be back again. 🤗
