I have stayed here a number of times over a vast period of time but this was my first stay for about 8 years. I was in a two bedroom unit and I was supposed to be in an 'updated' room. This accommodation is in a great spot directly opposite a patrolled beach, with a good sized pool as well as an indoor pool, spa and gym. The things that I found disappointing this trip were more related to the smaller details. I was paying a lot of money per night for a 3-week stay and the Resort touts itself as 'luxury'. Problems I struck were 1. there were no tissues in the unit and when I enquired, I was told 'we only supply the basics'. There were also no spare garbage bags in the unit, however these were supplied when we asked. 2. My unit had no TV in the 2nd bedroom (which was not a problem for us - but it could have been) but my daughter's unit did have a TV in the 2nd bedroom. We were not advised that there could have been different appointments to such an extent in different units. My daughter's unit also had automatic blind openers and improved decor and appliances to ours, but it seems to be pot luck what you get. If you ask for a particular unit, I was told they don't allocate people to units until the night before they arrive, so they couldn't tell me what room I would be in. 3. Upon arrival we could find no luggage trolley to help us get our gear from the basement to the 6th floor. During our stay, we did see ONE luggage trolley in the basement on one day. There should be more - or an offer of assistance with our luggage. 4. Normally when I have stayed many weeks at 'luxury' units, we have to look after ourselves during the week, but the units are serviced at the end of the week, restocked with washing liquid, tea/coffee and toilet paper. This time, for the first service, some ladies arrived to give our room a 'quick service'. They changed the sheets and towels and that was it. When I asked for some dishwashing liquid etc, I was advised that we are meant to look after ourselves. This doesn't make sense, as, if we changed units every week, we would get a fresh room with supplies each time. They did give us some dishwashing liquid, and some coffee pods, but it clearly wasn't standard. After they left, I vacuumed some sand off our bedroom floor and down the hallway, as no vacuuming was done. I had been vacuuming during the week, but thought they would have a go during their service. Our second service was more complete. 4. The website states that staying here provides membership of the Surf Club but we received no info about that on arrival. We had 3 or 4 meals at the surf club before I discovered that we had to have some paperwork from the Mediterranean that allowed us to get member discount for our meals?! When I asked at our reception, they said they don't give out the forms unless people ask for them!? How can you ask for something you don't know exists. They do offer surfboards, beach umbrellas etc to loan - and they supp
