Excellent restaurant, both had fried bream for lunch, and it was really tasty, will be going again. Served by Cherise, very friendly and welcoming. Luckily we ignored the "road closed" sign at the junction (was our first visit, definitely not the last).

First time visitor is was amazing I visited with my sister and I can’t tell you how lovely it is here. The quality is luxurious , the food divine and the staff are so lovely, welcoming and helpful. The coffee pod coffee machine in the room along with glass bottled milk bespoke chocolates and frozen cooled water was a lovely surprise. The roll top bath was awesome and the bed so very comfortable. The air conditioning was a pleasant surprise. The attention to detail was fabulous.

Arrived and seated by booking time. Long delays with food being served and various explanations provided before established they were cookless using an imported chef from another pub - allegedly. A stater was served not as ordered and the replacement was clearly a refry of teh original, and sent back. Fish and chips that resembled fish and crisps. This served hurridly over 20 minutes after everyone else was served as they had clearly forgot, even the fish served skin up (always a no no) Meal sent back for fresh and correctly fried portion of chips. Adjustments made to the bill with thanks but were there nearly 3 hours in total, most of the time waiting for food to be delivered to the table. Despite their generous adjustmet to teh bill, a complementary dessert or drinks would have appeased as after 3 days I am still seeting, especially as I was told someone had a similar issue a fortnight orior. Staff were lovely, the final food after long delays, and several efforts by the kitchen to cook i correctly was ok, but even with the bill adjustment it was still a substantial bill for 'okay' food served late and some of it incorrectly. VERY DISAPPOINTED and will have to think very hard about returning there. Have been in the past with no issue. Won't be recommending the place to anyone. And someone who is localish, its not as if I am a Grockle that wont ever be there to visit in future. The differing explanations and 'We are just plating it up' to then arrive over 10 minutes later when challenged, suggests its code for 'we are still cooking it', or with my fish and chips they had forgotten to cook it!!! A simple honest'We are experiencing delays' when being seated would have made things easier to accept, but repeated visits to teh bar with'any idea where oyr food is?] and waiting ages after being told its plated, is not good enough. And the place didnt seem particularly busy, seen it packed more especially as this was a Bank Holiday weekend. Taking family over from Germany there, they were really not imorssed as after an hour an half we had only just had the starters. .

Hotel was well maintained. I was initially concerned when I saw the room as we were in the loft area that was compromised by the roof beams however even though I am over 6ft tall I only banged my head once. The only issue with the room was the air conditioner that was very noisy. We turned it off in the early hours however this did result in the room being rather warm. That was our only issue, the food and service were both very good and the coffee/tea making (and complementary G&T) were all welcome. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Second vile meal in 2 months. Not my choice of venue for second visit. Service so slow and bordering on lethargic indifference. Meals were slow in coming. Over 45 minute wait. Burger was small and meat tasted most peculiar. Accompanying "slaw" was wilted and bitter. Onions on burger sloppy and tasteless. How do you manage to ruin a burger. Certainly not worth £17.95. Such a shame as facilties are smart and outside is well laid out. I am absolutely not willing to endure another visit there whatever the occasion.

Nice hotel. Small room but well appointed. Bed is small if you are tall. Breakfast good quality, small portions.

The meal we ordered was very poor. The main was served on a small starter plate Potatoes hardly any salmon a few tired looking olives and green beans very poor, The service was Ok but we did wait a long time. Lovely pub but the food was just not good.

Antisocial music event - asked the manager to consider the neighbours who demanded to know my name and address several times and explicitly refused to help- extremely rude and aggressive and an awful intimidating evening . This so-called business is not part of the community and simply has its own interests at heart . Ie kecyex better from the ride management team

The rooms were excellent, clean and well fitted out. However, the food quality was poor and meals were served at different times. This meant our party was starting and finishing our meals at different times. Sort the food out and this is an ideal break location.
