For several years, for important occasions, we have treated ourselves to an evening in a luxury suite and we have visited several in Cagliari. In none of them were we asked for money to be held as bail, except here. In a respectable and high-level structure that asks us 253 euros in advance to stay just one night and "only" 350 euros as a deposit "to accommodate us" given that "we usually ask for 500" (cit. reception), I expect and demand at least an adequate level of excellence. Instead, in order of embarrassment and dissatisfaction: 1) at 9.50 on New Year's Day they knock on our door continuously, despite the "do not disturb" sign hanging up and when we open we are told without even a greeting, but with an aggressive and threatening that we had to leave the room immediately. That maybe we didn't know that check out was at 10 and that "the sooner you leave the better". Literally. Instead, our agreed check-out was at 11. We willingly left early, given the weight of this event, even though we had paid for every single minute of the sacrosanct stay and had to have guaranteed that it passed without a hitch. The owners limited themselves to apologizing for the splendid performance of their cleaning staff with a short message which, according to them, should be enough to compensate customers who were treated like squatters who had run away from home. As regards the return of the deposit, however, after we had been guaranteed that we would receive the receipt with the cancellation at 3pm, we found ourselves having to ask for it to be sent at 5.30pm, only to be told that the structure would carry out I will cancel it during their office hours which go from 3pm to 9pm. In returning the deposit money they have taken a highly flexible schedule. 2) bathroom with exposed internal water heater, corner shower not level with the floor, damaged corner rail, siphon leaking water. Aluminum soap dish attached with suction cups to a fixture with several cracks, which promptly detached from the wall, almost falling on my feet. 3) we weren't even left with a basket to throw away paper and waste. We immediately reported it with a message. We were answered: "okay" with a thumbs up. Evidently it is considered a good thing. 4) the terrace was not panoramic. We saw other, higher roofs. There was only one small red plastic armchair available. Not even a small table to place the ashtray. Separate with the terrace next to it made with extremely "permeable" plant pots that offered no privacy from its occupants. In fact, we noticed that it was not occupied by anyone and that it had a large glass table, unlike ours. Ultimately we paid handsomely for a terrible start to the new year due to the placement of the service staff and an experience not even remotely up to expectations.
