There is no breakfast, the room is large and clean, can accommodate 4 people, one large bed and two small beds, the bed is very comfortable, the room can also cook, and the kitchenware is full. The location is excellent, it is very convenient to be close to the supermarket and the seaside. The old lady is very nice and welcoming. Next time you stay in Cairns. Oh, forget to say, the cat is so cute!

#房间小# #卫生差# #位置偏# The hotel was off work at 7:00 in the evening and there was no staff at the entire hotel. It was already seven o'clock when I arrived at the hotel on the first day. I have been unable to contact people. The call from Ctrip is the front desk in front of us. No one is there. Later I tried various methods to get in touch. The front desk gave a good attitude to the aunt, and helped us book the rental to the airport at 7:00 the next morning. The room is small and it doesn't feel very comfortable. A total of three rooms were set up, two of which had no quilt and only a quilt, which was very cold at night. The location is very biased, and it is not very big in Cairns, but it takes a long time to find a slightly fascinating meal and supermarket. Breakfast is average, open at 7:00, only jam bread and drinks and cereals.

After hearing our angry complaints, the Japanese guy at the front desk helped us adjust the room and transferred to the room that matched the photo of our order. Although the area of the room did not reach the 39 square meters described on Ctrip's website, and there was no exhaust fan, it was very ventilated. The air is very good and the view is beautiful. It’s not mainly the aisle balcony. When we left the store, the attitude of the old gentleman at the front desk was also very good, but the attitude of the female staff was extremely bad.

The personnel is helpful and friendly. The location is perfect and the bar/club is always busy. You can eat, drink and party all at the same place.
The air conditioning in the rooms was a bit too strong, and there is no controller to modify it. It's a centralised system.
The bed has to be done by yourself when arriving. Finding it done would be appreciated. A shelf and individual light in the bed would be really useful.
The building is very big and has enough room in the common areas and kitchen (which is busy at any time).
Services are fine overall.

I saw ‘Cairns City’ in the title & booked, but don’t be fooled like I was as the motel is up in Cairns North, a good 15 minute walk from the Cairns CBD & Esplanade area. The view from my apartment was the Cairns State High football field on Sheridan Street. That said, the motel was decent for the price charged ($180 a night in peak season) and the Wi-fi was strong which was important as I was working remotely for a full day from my room. It’s by no means a modern motel but the room size was adequate & had everything I needed for a short 2 night stay. The room was well prepped, with a fresh tropical coconut fragrance as you walk in. There is a bit of noise from the Main Street outside and you can hear other guests next door from time to time but overall nothing too distracting. There were cafes & shops nearby within walking distance including a bakery 5 minutes up the road which does espresso coffee. But it is not a city motel & without a car it’s a hike to get to the Cairns esplanade/lagoon area where tourists normally go. On the first night I walked into town & saw the laser light show installed for the Cairns Festival near the Pier Bar & had a massage treatment at Foot & Body in Orchid Plaza.

Great food and friendly helpful staff. Although this building is quite old it has been reasonably well renovated and is very comfortable to stay at. I had to leave VERY early to catch a bus and was supplied with a box breakfast, most welcome at 5am. On my return from my trip to Karumba we found that my booking had been made incorrectly a week further ahead.on arrival at 7pm , very tired,I was very grateful that the duty manager was able to put me into a very nice room for the night, and I was able to have a delightful meal and catch up with the gorgeous Shoni who welcomed me back even though I looked and smelt like Robinson Caruso, would definitely go there again.

We loved the atmosphere of the whole environment and had lunch there today. Sitting in a secluded outdoor overlooking the pool, we felt we could have a holiday anywhere in the world. The six of us were satisfied with our meals and thought they were great value for money. We both had a tiger prawn salad for $19 and the wardrobe had a fragrant taste. Three super special menus (which have closed) for $15, including a glass of wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee, and another $15 price is very close to the people including a chicken hamburger and potato chips. The waiting staff is friendly. Our only regret is: “Why didn’t we discover this place earlier?”

“Resort” very out of the way compared to the things to do in town. Luckily we got a car and were able to go back and forth for relatively cheap, but can imagine the cost would rack up if you were to use Uber the whole time.
24h front desk service and we got an extra towel when we asked for it.
The outside area and pool looked really nice. This is clearly where the money has gone, though because of the weather we weren’t really able to make use of it. The rooms were very basic and rather old. Nothing impressive. Made us second guess why it was called a resort.
Finally, I’d you get a room overlooking the pool, you’ll get a beautiful view but quite a trek to get to the room as you have to walk around the entire building (room access is on the outside) .

GGuest UserWe arrived at the hotel around 1.30pm and we were able to check in straight away, the girl on reception was very friendly and explained where our room was as there are 2 towers . We were on the 10th floor with a city view. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Loved how they are helping with environmentally keys for your door which are just round bamboo disks and also having no plastic bottles in the fridges, just glass bottles. All tv programs were free so we’re able to watch new release movies and free wifi . We had booked a holiday package , so we also had free car parking and a $250 credit to use at any of their hotels . Would definitely stay here again .

OoceanrainbowThanks to the strongest Wi-Fi in all areas, I only had to use minimal communication during my trip, so I didn't experience any inconvenience. Since I don't have a physical key, I use an app called GOKI to unlock all doors via Bluetooth. Breakfast includes basic bread items such as bread, cereal, yogurt, milk, coffee, and jam. The staff will line you up at the buffet from 7:30-10:00. Wash your own cutlery. There is no fresh fruit available, so I recommend buying it at the supermarket one or two doors down from the building.
The location is excellent and the price is reasonable. Towels are the same as Australian locals and are not changed daily, so pay extra if you need them.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Oak Carins for one quick evening before departing for a liveaboard cruise. The check in was quick and our stay was nice and comfortable. The only issue is that we booked the stay through our airline and requested an ocean view room. Unfortunately, the systems didn’t sync and Oak Carins oversold ocean view rooms and we were stuck with a different view. The staff tried to accommodate with a breakfast voucher but we couldn’t accept as we were leaving before their kitchens opened. So we were told that we would be credited back a refund…but there are so many stages/3rd parties, I doubt we will ever see it, but appreciate them trying. Would recommend if you are in Cairns and need a reasonably priced place to stay that is walking distance to the activities in the city.

LLaoshaguoDuring the 40-day free travel in Australia, I booked the Rydges Park Hotel in Quays on Ctrip and stayed for 4 nights. It is really convenient and affordable to book hotels and purchase tickets for attractions on Ctrip!
This is an apartment-style hotel. There are no customer service staff on public holidays and at night. You can enter and exit with a room card. The guest rooms are relatively large, clean and tidy, with complete kitchen and bathroom facilities. You can buy vegetables in the supermarket and process them yourself in the guest room. Of course, before leaving the hotel, we cleaned the room, kitchen and bathroom, and took photos of each part for preservation.
I went out for a stroll every night. The street market was lively and safe. The cruise terminal is not far away, so it is convenient to walk there. We booked and participated in the helicopter, cruise and snorkeling projects in the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Fortunately, there is a swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, and we tested and adapted to the snorkeling suit in advance 🤿.
It is really convenient to book and purchase tickets for overseas hotels, air tickets, attractions, etc. on Ctrip, and the price is also suitable!

GGuest UserThe photos provided by the operators are extremely deceptive. The accomodation is old and run down. The shower tiles were painted at some stage, and it is now peeling off both the floor and the walls. The “updated” vanity basin and tap are poorly sizes and you are unable to fully wash your face due to the shape and size of the basin with a shorter necked faucet . There is no complete enclosure for water in the shower resulting in you flooding the bathroom each time you shower- we ended up using the common showers in the passageway to attempt keep our room dry. The toilet paper is only single ply so bring your own if you decide to stay here !! Our towels and sheets had stains on them and the pillows are flat and lumpy. I wouldn’t swim in the pool unless you’ve had your latest tetanus shots. We were followed back to the accommodation by a slightly hostile homeless person one night which was slightly unnerving for our teenage daughters. The nicest part of this accommodation is the outdoor BBQ area. The breakfast provided smelt ok, but we decided to eat at the cafe at the marina each day as we were heading out to the reef and islands anyways. We decided to stay here and save money as generally we are out during the day and only need a comfortable bed and a clean shower- next time we will be going back to our regular accommodation closer to the Esplanade. I

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed staying at Mantra Esplanade. The only thing I’d mention to sun lovers is that the hotel pool has no sun during the whole day (we were there in June 2021) so went for a swim to the lagoon across the road instead.

GGuest UserThis was the first time ever I have had a verbal altercation at a hotel with a staff member at a hotel due to service issues. The front clerk would not allow my bags (one suitcase and a laptop) to be left after check out without paying for lockers, despite a $175 a night room charge and an empty storage area. He said this was common hotel practice. I challenged him & explained most hotels allow bags to be kept for a few hours after checking out – after this the desk man changed his tune and said this was just their hotel’s policy. I felt like I was staying at a backpackers and was very disappointed at the policy, and at the service. The experience I had on check out alone (especially the attitude of the staff member) made this easily the worst experience I have had at a hotel in the last 10 years. It was a shame because the gentleman on check in was lovely and allowed bags to be stored prior to check in, when I arrived on an early flight. The room itself was at the opposite end of the hotel and was a 5 minute walk down a long hall to get to the room. It was also noisy at night time as I was given a room adjacent to the main street (Grafton Street). The positives – the location is excellent (right in the centre of town) and the quality of the rooms and room size is ok. Honestly though, my recommendation is to steer clear of this hotel - there are lots of great hotels in Cairns that are far better for the same price (or less). And I know many locals who feel the same way about this place.

LLinda E Address: 331-337 Lake St, Cairns City QLD 4870 Phone: (07) 4041 6605 If you are unfortunate enough to be allocated this unit there are things you should be advised The Edge Apartments Cairns is situated in Cairns only 220 yards from the Northen end of the Esplanade and the Coral Sea. It has 2 outdoor pools and spacious air-conditioned apartments. COMMENT In June 2023 We found our apartment 205 for 10 days to NOTt to be of 4star standard at all. PRO: The bedlinen and bathroom towels were very clean and of good quality. The air conditioning worked. The ceiling fans worked. The apartment was spacious. The fridge worked but bottom of door shelving missing. Inconvenient if you wanted to store water bottles etc. CONS: ” Each unit at the Edge has a flat-screen TV”., which was NOT working and had to be re-connected by guest. “Free Wi-Fi” NOT available in unit 205 – we were informed by office unless you wanted to stand outside of office area to connect. Apartment was dark, - lighting in all rooms inadequate and woefully dim and outdated. Lighting in laundry area was badly positioned – and here there were no instructions on how machine worked. *Vertical Blinds in poor state and need maintenance or replacement. *All doors (screen and glass sliding) need maintenance to run smoothly. *The furniture was inappropriate (apart from 2 leather sofas) and badly arranged. *The ambience was noisy. The decor throughout the apartment – wasn’t.!! Except 2 pictures hung almost at ceiling. – 1 small mirror in dark hallway., and a wall clock. (All 15 years or more in age) *No rugs or furnishings to soften the décor or the echo sounding throughout the apartment. *Coffee table in bad state. *Dining table satisfactory but serviced by 2 different types of chairs. *The bathroom needed maintenance/upgrade (and pictures I have taken show much damage to outer base of shower, mould along the wall.) *The kitchens come equipped with very basic essentials. A microwave and dishwasher., utensils for cooking on very old worn stove. “Some units have balconies with sea or mountain views”, others, like ours, at 205 had overgrown foliage with NO views. The Edge Apartments Cairns has an outdoor entertainment area with barbecue facilities and free on-site private parking. *The Rain forestation Nature Park is 11 miles from The Edge Apartments. Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway are only a 10-minute drive away.

BBowaterI stayed at Hotel Tropiq in mid-October 2023 and had a good stay. Positives - great location with nearby cafe, Indian restaurant, and British restaurant. Only a $20 taxi to the Pier/Marina or 20 minute walk into the city. The reception staff were super friendly/helpful. Pleasingly, the room perfectly suited my solo fishing trip too. Negatives - Hotel Tropiq was very basic/ghetto with a peculiar room layout. The beds were on rollers and hard to sleep on. Windows and sliding door were very dodgy. No insect screens on one window! It was certainly a budget style of accommodation. In future, I will stay somewhere nicer if my girlfriend joins me
