Egy Days Hotel

Firstly, the hotel is called Jordan Hotel on Booking and is not easily found as it is inside a large building which has other hotels within it and is located on the 5th floor. The staff are friendly and helpful and the WiFi is good. The rooms aren’t the cleanest and if you’re happy just for somewhere central to sleep, then this place is ideal. The lift is very old and if you’re claustrophobic then you might find it daunting. Once outside the hotel, everything is there for you from shops, restaurants, banks etc which makes the location of this hotel very good.

I made a reservation here when another reservation fell through at the last minute. It was quite affordable but a little odd compared to other travel experiences. When we showed up late at night, the area seemed sketchy, but it actually ended up being just fine and even convenient. Our first surprise was that they only accepted cash (or at least that's what they told these Americans). We were fortunate to have enough. Overall, the interior is functional but depressing like a school dorm. Despite advertising a TV in the room, there wasn't one. I think breakfast was also supposed to be included. but I didn't immediately find it and didn't go hunting. No towels of any type were in our room and my wife had to go hunt them down. We had a wet bathroom (no separate shower), which is ok, just not preferred. The ceiling had drop tiles and one was broken in half exposing an attic-space. The mattress was wrapped in plastic. Sheets were clean but threadbare. There were plenty of places to eat close by and I actually walked to the Egyptian Museum.

Beautiful, clean hotel with good prices, it is close to all tourist places , friendly staff, I highly recommend it The lower street of the hotel is very special and there are a lot of restaurants, clothing stores and markets
