Dalgair House Hotel

Firstly we had requested a twin room but got a double. The room was dirty and extremely shabby, I have taken pictures to verify this. We were only staying one night so didn't complain. The girl working in the bar was lovely and breakfast was really nice with a great selection & once again our server was great. I would not book to stay here again unfortunately

Nice and pleasant staff, but property is old and bit rundown.

Th,is hotel gives the option of non residents to dine in the restaurant. There are two chefs, the name of the other remains unknown. For three night I visited the restaurant for an evening meal and the quality of the food served by Chef Nicu, was excellent. However, on the evening of 30th July 2024 I ordered a meal meal of Chicken stuffed with haggis which was uncooked, on the inside ( pink) and was tough to chew. I called the waitress over and informed her that I coild not eat the meal a d to return it to the kitchen, which she did and before going asked me if there was anything else I wanted to eat, and was told that the meal was so inedible that it put me off eating anything else. After finishing my soft drink I asked for the bill and was charged for the soup, the soft drink and the inedible meal. A total of £22.90. This is probably the dearest suop and soft drink in the whole of Scotland. There was no question that I had to pay this. I will not be returning there again, an would urge other diners to be aware,!!

Great hotel for a night stay and live entertainment on at the weekends.

Great bar, good food, lots of lively local folks, rooms comfy but need updating.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 2 night break at the Dalgair House Hotel. When we checked in and explained that my husband had mobility issues, we were immediately offered a room on a lower floor without any fuss. Overall, the staff were all so friendly and accomodating. The rooms do require updating but our room was comfortable and clean. Great shower! The food in the bar and Bistro was excellent! Do try the steak pie, it ranks as one of the best I've ever tasted! Great breakfast too! Exceptional value for money.

Hotel smells of mold. Room was not very clean. Lighting in room was cold white LED. No remote for TV. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.

This hotel is amazing value for money, stayed here a few times, we did rob roy way this week and stopped over five girls, the food was really outstanding in the evening and the breakfast was first class, the two ladies that were present in morning and served us were lovely as was the gentleman behind the bar in evening and checked us in. Cannot fault dalgair stayed three times and would stay again, many thanks
