Stayed for business and not a great experience, no parking on-site but not too far to walk from the Atrium Shopping Centre car park which is £12 a night. Receptionist appeared to be in training and couldn’t find my booking (fair enough as we all have to familiarise ourselves with a new job) not helped by miss-spelling my name multiple times - I have a very easy name to spell trust me! Eventually issued a room and key, gig to the room and it didn’t work and Manager called to check - the room allocated was locked/occupied. Back to reception to be allocated another room - key didn’t work, but issued a new key card at reception which worked! The room was very dated, spelt very musty and very little worked - tepid water, pretty much everything hanging on by a thread and dirty - dirty is a theme as the corridors are filthy. Anyway, back in the evening for my 2nd night and guess what - the card doesn’t work - this happened for 3 nights straight and not just to me so assume the card system is faulty. Ate in the restaurant where the staff were quite friendly, but only two beers on and various foods such as anything with chicken breast and meat off on my final night. All in all a very poor representation of a Premier Inn and I won’t be staying there again as prefer things to work.
