This is a lovely hotel in a convenient location, 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from Canberra Centre. There were a couple of restaurants for dinner less than a block away, and an amazing cafe for breakfast (Kiitos Cafe) a block away. Free, on street parking was available and easy to find. The apartments are well-equipped with tea and coffee (a Nespresso machine) making supplies as well as pans, etc. The beds were comfortable and the towels are extremely fluffy. My only two criticisms are that the sheets were a bit stiff and the climate control is centralized, so we were unable to cool off the apartment when we got too hot at night. But I would highly recommend this hotel.

Overall recommendation. The environment is clean, the service attitude is good, the facilities are new, the price is reasonable, and the price is high. The location is in Kingston, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the city by bus. However, the trains are not very frequent, about half an hour on weekends. The hotel’s price/performance ratio is very good: Saturday seems to be the most expensive day of the week in Canberra. Almost old and new and star-rated hotels in the city cost more than RMB 1,200. I booked this one for more than 700. It's still very cost-effective. In addition, there is no need to worry about being noisy on the road, there are few cars at night. I could hear some in the morning, but it was about 8 o'clock, and I was basically awake at that time. There are a lot of food around, for example, I tried penny university and it was not bad.

Saw the reviews and was not expecting much. I have been surprised to be honest. The reception was helpful, check in was quick and easy. Our room was clean, well equipped and the bed, lovely and soft and we had the best nights sleep. The only gripe was the communal area toilets were grubby but that’s down to dirty people. You get what you pay for and we were comfortable and can only speak of our experience.

This hotel has very much an 80s vibe, and the rooms do look like they have not been updated since it originally opened. But I found my room to be clean, the beds were comfortable, the aircon whisper quiet and there was no street noise so we had a great sleep. I really like this place. I especially love the atrium in the centre of the hotel and their use of plants. Lots of plants! It's a very interesting design. It's like being in a terrarium circus tent! I thought some of the trees must surely be fake, but no, it's quite amazing what they have achieved and just how big some of the trees are in there! I love the cosy and private lounge areas scattered through the plantings and water features. I love the look of the stair cases you can see from the centre and the use of wood against the light colour scheme throughout. You will find the hotel is relatively close to EPIC if you are there for an event, to Haig Park Markets, Braddon Eateries, bars and cafes, and the Canberra Centre. I found the reception and bar staff to be very lovely and helpful. Many thanks for a delightful stay.

Good hotel. The room was a reasonable size considering that this is a budget hotel, the ensuite toilet and shower are small but adequate. It is a bit out of town but fine if you have a car (probably public transport is available nearby, I did not check). They don't have a restaurant but you can buy a frozen meal from reception and heat it in a microwave if you like (continental breakfast can also be bought, I didn't try it).

My reception by Naveen and Dorg was cheerful and helpful; they provided clear and good info regarding the hotel, parking, breakfast and meals in the adjoining Labour Club, etc. Our room on the top 9th floor had a good view towards the Lake Ginninderra, although another high rise had partially blocked the view. Our room was an end room, a more spacious upgrade offered to us by Naveen. It was very clean- every nook and cranny- compliments to housekeeping. It was also nice and bright, as was the bathroom. Decor is very modern and up to date. Bed was comfortable and we had good sleeps. The hot breakfast in the Club was of good quality and variety and good value. Parking on level3 and level4 of the carpark was easily accessible.

I had to attend a funeral in Canberra and a friend recommended this YMCA (Leumeah Lodge) in suburb of Nicholls, handy to that side of the city off the Barton Highway. This accommodation is very new. If your GPS is old, then No. 48 is not on it! It is located opposite McDonalds and behind KFC. It is lovely, spotless, nicely appointed with very helpful, friendly Reception staff. There are 58 (differing) and all non-smoking, rooms to suit most, including bunkbed rooms used by school groups. As a single, I chose the ”Queen” perfectly adequate for a couple - the room, bathroom and shower all spacious, with toiletries and hair dryer provided; the double bed was very comfortable. Air Conditioning and WiFi available with a wall mounted TV, tea/coffee bags & a kettle. There are dining facilities only for Groups but you can order a Breakfast Box the night before from Reception. Parking is available. This Lodge is far superior to many hotels I've stayed in and the cost far less! It was amazingly quiet overnight (a Thursday). I recommend this accommodation.

GGuest UserFrom the first moment you walk into the room, the musty smell hits you like a brick! The room we had was very small, but that didn’t bother us at all. It was the stagnant, stale air and the unmistakable smell of a very old hotel room, which once-upon-a-time was inhabited by smoking guests. I tried without success to open a window - I was desperate for some fresh air! On night two of our stay, after returning from a full day out exploring Canberra, I was astonished to see that housekeeping had replaced our towels, but not bothered to make the bed, empty the rubbish bin or vacuum the floor! This property is described as 4-star on the Best Western website, I have no idea how they are able to claim this rating! The breakfast selection can only be described as bare minimum, but the most disturbing thing about the breakfast “buffet” was how messy the entire area was! We found crumbs and pieces of rubbish scattered on each of the tables holding the food. Needless to say, we took a hard pass on the breakfast! The only positive I have to offer about our experience at this hotel is that the water pressure in the shower was very good.

MMohan MoorthyFirst time stay in Canberra. Hotel Kurrajong, what a perfect place to stay. Quaint little boutique hotel with a charming onsite restaurant. Staff were courteous and friendly. We dined twice in the hotel restaurant during our three night stay. Food was delicious and the ambience was lovely. Hotel had a beautiful fireplace at the entrance. There was an onsite gym but no pool. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserNice leafy quiet street. Close to light rail. Good secure parking. Reception staff efficient. You can walk to Dickson or Civic if you have a spare 20 mins. Room we had was quite small (especially the shower) so not good for larger people. Beds comfy, but we did not like the pillows (there was only one option). Limited facilities (café downstairs seemed to only make coffee). But as we chose it for its price, quietness and location it met our needs well and overall we would stay again.

GGuest UserI'm 6'3” and in all honesty the room I stayed in wasn't that Little. There is a library where I was able to walk around, stretch my legs a bit and I am sure there were other facilities I didn't have time to utilize. The environment is very good, the front desk service of the first reception is also good. Proactively helped us solve many problems. And told us that we can check out at 2 pm, we can have more rest meetings the next day, so we have a conference call after the check-in day, but the door is knocking from 8:00 to 12:00 the next day. The attitude is extremely bad. I have been explaining to the front desk the next day that the hotel told us that we can check out at 2pm. The new front desk still asks me to pay another day's room rate. Spending money is a trivial matter, but the attitude determines my impression of the hotel. Many hotels in Australia have a very good service attitude, but this one is very disappointing.

GGuest UserFirst impressions of the hotel were good. However, the level of amenities and some of the customer service was disappointing. In the room our bath towels were threadbare and fraying, one of the soap boxes was empty and there was only an office chair to sit on to watch TV. When we requested some extra milk, we returned to our room later to find it dumped on the table rather than placed in the fridge. Returning to the hotel Saturday evening just before 9 pm, we went to the bar area for a coffee only to be told that service had ended and the coffee machine was unavailable. Bar staff were totally disinterested. I should acknowledge that the following evening when we mentioned this matter to a manager, he was very responsive and offered us a free coffee and apology. We felt the accommodation to be reasonably priced but breakfast and car parking costs to be a touch expensive.

GGuest UserThe Forest Hotel is best great value for money in Canberra. Whilst it was created in the 1960s, is a solid construction. It is family owned which makes it a very special place in Canberra. From the Owners down, to Reception or the Cleaning Staff they are committed to making your stay in the Forest great. They pride themselves on being the best! They have a great restaurant Monday to Friday. It’s at night, which does takeaway and room service – they have really nice specials. The pizzas are pretty good as well. I regularly go to Canberra and the Forest is my home from home. The Forest is the best, Forget the rest!

DO NOT STAY HERE. We paid nearly $2000 for the 3 bedroom apartment and it is very obvious that they NEVER get cleaned. They may have ‘cleaners’ employed but they do not clean a single thing. The carpet is absolutely disgusting and if you have a crawling baby do NOT stay in here. The quilts are covered in what looks like poo or blood stains and we had to ask the ‘cleaners’ for new ones but don’t think they will put them back on for you, they will dump them in a pile on the lounge. You get given half the amount of towels you need for the people in the room and the sign says place towels in the shower and they will give you new ones. We had 6 people in our room and had to collect fresh towels from the pool area and they would take ALL 6 and replace it with 3. I don’t understand why a 3 bedroom apartment would have 1 bathroom but the 2 bedroom apartments have 2 bathrooms. We know this as family stayed on the other side and those rooms were slightly better. Our shower was so mouldy and the spa bath is broken, not that I would use it anyway cause I can’t even imagine the crap inside those jets when the entire apartment doesn’t even get cleaned. The shower door doesn’t even close properly ( see pics) so you either let the water pour out on the floor or use hulk strength to slam it shut as it scrapes all the metal. The bathroom door into the bedroom also has to be shut with hulk strength as it also scraped along the floor and gets jammed. Furniture was falling apart, beds, tables, lounges ( see pics) the table leg was about to fall straight off. Basically all the drawers were filled with crap left from the previous person that stayed, maccas coupons, face masks, chocolate and wrappers, a razor. Again I repeat, these apartments do NOT get cleaned. Oh and they give you 2 toilet rolls for a family of 6 and if you pop down to Woolies and buy your own so that you can actually wipe your bum and your family can wipe their bums, don’t leave your packet of toilet rolls near the toilet because the ‘cleaners’ will in fact start taking YOUR own supply of toilet rolls to put on the holders, taking WITH THEM half a roll of toilet paper that wasn’t used. All YOUR own toilet paper. Moving on to the kitchen, the website says fully stocked kitchen but if you were thinking of actually cooking in your oven think again cause 1. You will burn your hands off getting anything out cause there is literally nothing to use and there are also zero trays to actually cook anything on. The website also says fresh tea towels daily but we never had a single new one in 5 days. If you are also thinking you would like the convenience of a private washing machine, don’t bother, it’s broken and not one staff member will tell you and they don’t put a sign on it. There was, however, some tape in the lock section we took a guess that maybe it’s broken or was the tape so it didn’t close shut all the time and go mouldy. Well we opened the laundry liquid drawer and that was full of crap an

爱吃玉米的sumiThe location is not very central, but it is okay. After all, it is not possible to have no car in Tu'ao, and then drive to the center in 5-10 minutes. And Canberra, as a capital, really can't see how it looks like a capital, haha ... it's almost like a day and a day with Beijing. Haha ... it's sparsely populated, and almost no one is on the street after 7pm. The environment of the hotel is good. It is the highest two-story building, and it is also very convenient to carry luggage. After all, it is a brand chain. All aspects of sanitation and services are guaranteed, but in general, it is older A little bit! The breakfast in the morning was fair, the variety was good and the taste was ok. It was 8pm when we arrived, and the sky was still bright, but there was not much food outside, haha ... so I ordered something to eat at the hotel, which was not bad!
