I was hesitant about booking a holiday here due to the very mixed reviews, however due to its convenient location I decided to go ahead and do so. I gave it 4 stars as it was an overall good stay and I felt 3 was slightly underselling it but still was not happy with everything. Room: We stayed in a deluxe double room which I was happy with. There were 3 of us and we had a VERY large double bed as well as a pull out sofa bed which gave us ample space. There was a small kitchen area and a separate room where the sofa bed and TV were. The door to the toilet did not close properly and often swung open which was not great. The shower was ok but I think a curtain wouldn't have gone amiss to prevent the floor being splashed. There were no bedside tables or lamps which was a bit annoying but the receptionist explained this was an oversight and gave me a lamp from another room. Breakfast: Breakfast was a very mixed experience. The first day was fine, although they wouldn't open the windows due to wasps and it was very hot. There was a cold food area with a (limited) selection of cereals, some thick yogurt, mostly sad looking pain au chocolats and croissants, and bread. The hot buffet included eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and hashbrowns. On the second day the breakfast was very poor: the eggs when we arrived looked horrible and after I told the lady they were almost blueish she removed them and said more would come.. which they did.. 30 minutes later.. The service was terrible from the woman in charge who seemed angry at me at one point for asking if there was any butter.. there wasn't. And although breakfast runs from 8:30-10:30 at around 10 she began trying to set up for lunch and made our breakfast feel very rushed. The third day was a whole other situation where they decided to do it Al Carte which was nice as I got to order a full Broome (full English) and nutella pancakes except the wait was about 40 minutes and they forgot the beans and mushrooms for the full Broome. Despite this though there was a young staff member at breakfast working during her uni summer holiday who was very helpful and accommodating throughout! Service: The man when I checked in was very nice and although there was a bit of a long wait as he sorted out a double booking that had been made for someone else I understood that that couldn't be avoided. On the last day the cleaners did not clean our room leaving us without towels, milk, loo roll or an empty bin which was frustrating, we spoke to the lady at reception and at first she just gave us the stuff we needed but when we realised there was more stuff we hadn't got she brought it up to us and took our bin. She also told us that the housekeeping had said there was a do not disturb sign on our door but that was completely untrue as we actually did not even have a sign. Mostly I found the reception staff very helpful and nice, however we went to try and play snooker on the last night and the night r
