Carmel Mission Inn

The location was good assuming you had a car but do not rely on public transport. The hotel--motel was clean and well decorated and pool area well kept. The problems started with reception who were not very well informed. Could not give information on bus services and even gave wrong location for the bus stop. Before leaving I wanted to check in to two airlines. One receptionist said no problem but when I went to do it on the day another receptionist said it was against hotels privacy policy??? I then had to find a business centre and pay $40 to do ckeck in. Food / Bar was adequate but not available Sat--Mon. We were there for a week and on two days were advised there would be no room service. On a third day we had to request fresh towels as the room had been missed. I do not think the bed linen was changed during our whole stay. The biggest issue I had was with the finance department. ON settling the final account I decided to pay fully in cash and not use the debit card they had taken on arrival. On return home I found two debits on my card one for £270 which had no relation to any services. The second for £493 which was for the total bill paid for in cash. after telephone calls not responded to and four e-mails I eventually got the accountant to credit the money back a month later. still awaiting a call from Mary the manager to explain why they had taken money from my account without athorisation

The breakfast included is a small basket placed by the waiter in the door of each room after getting up in the morning. There is a box of milk, a bread, a chocolate and a banana. It’s all cold and not tasty
Horizon Inn & Ocean View Lodge

Great stay! This is a family-run place within a couple of blocks of Ocean Avenue in Carmel, the ”main drag” such as it is with shops and restaurants. However, with a little exploration, even the walk down a few blocks has some nice restaurants, bars and shops. I called ahead and asked for the best room--Room 120--with a very nice ocean view which made for fantastic wake-ups and sunset watching. The room has fireplace operated by a single switch for simple, confident operation. Breakfast is served every morning in a picnic basket by the door, with a daily variety of fruit plate, breakfast break and orange juice. There is also a nightly wine & cheese happy hour in the small lobby. Again, there is a small courtyard with lounges, firepit and hot tub that is also immaculately clean. It is also quiet, with quiet hours clearly posted, but the establishment does not attract a crazy crowd. Parking was plentiful, and there is easy access to US 1 and shopping and adventure up and down the coast. Great all-around choice.

位置絕對好,可惜我玩了17miles在那邊耽擱的太久,到酒店已經晚上九點多了,很遺憾,其實酒店風景更棒。下次多留點時間不要太倉促。
Carmel Valley Ranch, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

The environment, location, facilities, including the front desk service are very good, especially the environment, but today's dinner experience is really disappointing. First of all, after we ordered the meal, the first pre-feast was quite fast, but we did not prepare a plate for us. We beckoned to send it over after we called, and there was no such normal restaurant error of due apology, and secondly, after serving the pre-order, we waited for nearly 30 minutes. No dish came up, no one explained, the restaurant manager skipped us several times on the tour, there were not many people in the restaurant at that time, (there were two of us who were Asian faces) was not a peak meal time, waiting for us to call a waiter over, The waiter (the Indian woman) said very bluntly, I think they're doing, and then left. Too angry, when we went to the front desk to complain, their manager appeared in front of us like a wind (before turning a blind eye to us in the restaurant), and apologized and said that the meal was delivered to the room. Exemption from dinner costs). Apologizing for the apology, the attitude is not sincere at all, the inferior service attitude of the evening restaurant directly lowers the level of Hyatt, this kind of restaurant (hotel) that sees people ordering, directly pulls black. [Weak] [weak] [weak]. (Breakfast service was good, we asked and learned that dinner was not the same team).
Hyatt Carmel Highlands

One of the most gorgeous Hyatt properties that I’ve been to. Beautiful ocean view, quaint yet modern rooms, lots of plants, close by to point lobos state park, Carmel, Monterey, Big Sur. 2 bedroom units are spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 adult kids. Heated swimming pool during the winter is a plus. Gym is good more for aerobic exercises than weight training but weights and machines are available. BBQ grill available to use, and Safeway is only a mile away. Highly recommended.
