Hotel Michelangelo
4.3/514 Reviews
The hotel has been totally renovated recently to an outstanding level. The room was ultra-comfortable and perfectly appointed – the most user-friendly room we have encountered. The décor of the room, and the marble bathroom, are worthy of featuring in Vogue. We had a great view from our small balcony looking towards the mountains one way and the sea the other. Windows are openable to get cross-breezes, but the air conditioning also works well. The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area adjacent to the interesting historic centre of Carrara. The very welcoming and helpful staff recommended possible restaurants and booked for us at the one we chose that featured typical local gourmet dishes and excellent wines. They also provided great information about sightseeing and tours to the famous Carrara quarries (from which Michelangelo sourced his special white marble). The breakfast room on the roof (5th floor with large outdoor area) gives a great view of the city and surrounds, with an excellent breakfast. The combination of the wonderful staff and the high standard of the room, common guest spaces and location made us wish we were staying longer in Carrara.

For work reasons I had the pleasure to stay in this beautiful villa Belverde in Carrara, where everything, as far as possible in the details, is perfect! The gentle, always available and hospitality Ms. Margherita has done her best to make my stay perfect in the villa and in my suite, thank you and I will continue to visit the Villa every time I am in Carrara. Clean, ordered, pleasant, comfortable large bed with bathroom, full bathroom in marble Calacatta, quiet place, despite near main street, no noise is heard, huge windows with view of the beautiful secular park, excellent breakfast fresh, served in the room on my request, fresh and tasty food, the suite smells freshness and citrus, everything is innocent and I am happy to advise this Villa to all those who want to enjoy the luxury and art works of which it is full This Villa, and all this in the price of night and breakfast, which is very modest and acceptable . Council lively! Hi and thanks, Ana
