Hotel Carvoeiro Plaza

The Plaza is uniquely situated in the centre of Carvoerio virtually on the be beach. The Sky bar is simply stunning at night, with very attentive staff. We had a beach view room with a balcony that was soaked in sunshine from mid day til evening. Complimented with private parking it offers the perfect location for a wonderful holiday in the beautiful village of Carvoerio.

Such a convenient location with wonderful staff! They provide tea, kettle, mini fridge, and complimentary breakfast which is a great bonus. The hotel pool is not crowded and clean. It's walkable to the beach. Only comment to keep it from a perfect review is that a couple of the pillowcases and bedsheet had stains. They were nice enough to hold on to our baggage after checkout so we didn't have to lug around our baggage while we did couple activities. Overall would recommend!

Location was perfect. Room very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast and breakfast staff perfect. Sky bar and staff were great. The front desk was a little quicky and not really welcoming . There were problems with the door , the door key, etc. Parking was perfect

Easy paid parking. Beautiful old hotel in the middle of everything. Easy walk to the beach.

At €305 euros a night costing €2,404.00 for our 8 night stay I was expecting exceptional. Although reasonable it is very far from outstanding or exceptional. No extractor in the small bathroom, the smallest balcony I have ever seen and a room that I would actually describe more as budget than exceptional. The location is very good but is ruined by a bar called Sully's which is exactly opposite which attracts a "lower" level of individual and is very loud till about 3am. The roof top bar is on the 3rd floor of the hotel (we stayed on the 2nd) I am still confused if it's owned by the hotel or not. However, it's the same lift and staircase. The prices are high for the area €15 for an old fashioned cocktail. The staff are hospitable and nice however the manager is a very very rude aggressive individual. On the Saturday evening I purchased an old fashion at our table paid our bill and proceeded to leave as was going to drink it on my balcony. This person saw me leave approached my very aggressively and proceeded to pour my drink into a tall paper coffee cup! At €15 euros I was not impressed either with what happened or his aggressive rude attitude I would highly recommend that the hotel have a word with him as customer service is not his strong point Imran on the front reception and his colleagues are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Any hotel would benefit from there fantastic professionalism The older gentleman who supervises the breakfast area is also a lovely, polite, Happy individual and he and his colleagues are again superb. Well done to them. Carvoeiro is a lovely area. I think the price keeps away the people who you really don't want in a hotel and that's a good point. However, over all it is definitely not worth €300 per night for bed and breakfast and a bar manager with an extremely bad

Taking the positive first, breakfast was good and the location is very central. However, the rooms are smelly and the noise from the clubs on the street is extremely loud… Would definitely not recommend a room with sea view, as you have clubs 30 meters from your bed rooms.

Due to a flood in our guest house, which caused an emergency situation, and us looking for alternate accommodation just after midnight, hotel plaza came to our rescue. The gentleman night porter was fantastic, such exceptional customer service in the middle of the night. On speaking with him, our panic was immediately over. The room was clean and very comfortable, and although set up as a twin, this was changed to a double the following day. Buffet breakfast included, and the location is fabulous.
