Chambres d'Hotes Las Caneres

My wife and I stayed here for two nights ahead of a family occasion early next month. I researched accommodation well ahead of our journey to Gers and the Chambre D'Hotes Las Caneres appeared convenient for our purposes and had excellent reviews. Having then booked and now stayed for two nights, I can't speak more highly of the welcome and friendliness we received by the hosts, Jean-Pierre and Daisy. Nothing was too much trouble and they gave us excellent local advice. The views from the location were simply stunning and reflect the images on various booking sites. The swimming pool was well maintained and a welcome break from the hot sunshine. The interior and exterior of 'the house' was impressive and full of character. Breakfast was served outside on the patio area and it was all fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, bread, home made preserves, fresh orange and a bountiful supply of fresh coffee. Daisy would make you eggs too, if you wanted. Our room had a private shower and wash basin, although we did have to share a WC down the hallway. In all honesty there are only a few rooms they rent out so the communal toilet was not really an issue to us, possible slightly inconvenient if you need to visit during the night but it would never put us off returning. This is a charming venue, with fully attentive and friendly hosts who go out of their way to ensure you are catered for in anything you want.
