Soggiorno di tre notti in mezza pensione con il pacchetto daydreams in occasione dei 50 anni di mia moglie. Posizione veramente buona e strategica. A 10 minuti a piedi dal centro storico di Castiglione del Lago e dal Lago Trasimeno. Parcheggio comodo su stradina adiacente l’albergo. Si è vicini a moltissimi borghi umbri e toscani. La nostra quadrupla ampia. Mobili rinnovati. Bagno un po’ più vecchiotto. Non finestrato ma con buona ventilazione forzata. Gli ambienti non nuovissimi passano in secondo piano di fronte alla eccellente pulizia della stanza e del bagno. Rare volte abbiamo trovato ambienti così puliti. Aprendo l’anta dell’armadio sei colpito da profumo di detersivo. Unica pecca il frigobar che non raffreddava affatto. Ottimo anche il climatizzatore. Letti comodi, persino con il topper anche perché il letto matrimoniale era composto da due lettini. La cena giusta, con prodotti di qualità. Si mangia bene, non molta scelta ma tutto cucinato bene. Colazione anch’essa nella norma, con cornetti piccoli e sempre con le stesse crostata e ciambella. La sala ristorante ampia e pulita. Illuminazione triste, da mensa d’ospedale. Con il pacchetto daydreams va comunque bene. Tenuto conto anche che è un tre stelle. Gestore alla reception molto molto gentile e professionale come anche le cameriere. Hanno meritato anche la mancia per gentilezza ed efficienza. Si sono gentilmente prestate a portarci un pezzetto di crostata con la candeline “50” per il compleanno di mia moglie. Soggiorno molto molto piacevole. Consigliatissimo.

Superbly located right on the lake and also central for restaurants. The hotel is nice and clean with simple but great value rooms. Staff were excellent and always friendly, Hotel has its own outdoor pool, a car park and restaurant on the pier with all local bars and shops within walking distance. If you are staying in the area you would be fine here, even hire e-bikes to your the lake.

(Premetto che lavorando nella ristorazione, la mia recensione sarà obiettiva senza denigrare per forza, ma solo espondendo situazione/fatti reali) Avevo un voucher smartbox e ho deciso di usarlo nei giorni di ferie... al lago, in un posto in cui non sono mai stato... opto per il trasimeno...la foto di smartbox di passignano sul trasimeno era invitante... nel prenotare propongo (visto che il pacchetto è per 2 e io sono solo), di fare la mezza pensione... a loro non va bene perché è alta stagione, ecc.. così prenoto comunque la singola (alla fine mi danno una DUS..doppia uso singola)... arrivo all'hotel, il garage dicono che è pieno...hanno qualche posto auto esterno (pochi) ma per fortuna in questi pochi giorni me la sono cavata abbastanza bene..le camere sono ”a chiave tradizionale” e c'è la possibilità di portarsele dietro quando si esce, il bagno è un po stretto... ha le mattonelle stile anni 80, senza piatto doccia, quindi ogni volta che ci si lava... il bagno diventa un mini Trasimeno :D, ai sanitari e doccia ci sono ancora i rubinetti acqua calda/acqua fredda anziché il miscelatore, nel pavimento c'è la moquette, letto comodissimo, condizionatore nuovo, piccolo balconcino con parziale vista lago... purtroppo davanti c'è la ferrovia... quindi di giorno potrebbe essere un po rumoroso (io sono sempre stato fuori di giorno, quindi faccio una ipotesi), anche le pareti non sono insonorizzate e si sentono tutti i ca...voli degli ospiti accanto... insomma ci sarebbero da fare degli investimenti importanti che essendo la struttura a gestione ”familiare” non penso che abbiano la possibilità finanziaria di fare...vengono forniti 2 mini shampoo, 2 saponette e 2 bicchierini di plastica... da ammirare che ogni giorno la stanza viene pulita e tutti i giorni fatto il cambio della biancheria (nelle strutture 4-5 stelle per esperienza personale..non è così)...la colazione è minimal, ma comunque con dolce e salato, hanno torte fatte in casa, panini, prosciutto, salame, formaggio, yogurt, fette biscottate, mouesli, corn flakes,marmellatine, nutelline, burrini, succhi di frutta, acqua... Hanno anche un ristorante che può essere usato senza prenotazione, decido di provarlo... il menù è molto vario, adatto per vegetariani, vegani, c'è il pesce e la carne, i prezzi sono leggermente meno cari rispetto ai locali sul lago...(nel listino è omesso il coperto 1.50 € che viene fatto pagare al momento del pagamento del conto), le porzioni sono abbondanti e si mangia molto bene, quindi vi consiglio come ho fatto io...di ordinare 2 portate e poi eventualmente chiedere per la terza...i camerieri sono un pò freddi... vanno sul tavolo senza rivolgere nemmeno una parola (chiedere se è andato tutto bene prima di togliere il piatto sarebbe una cosa carina... ma forse sono io che sono abituato a rispettare i standard LHW...lavorando in un 5 stelle)...apprezzo che la cameriera biondina si è andata ad informare su una cosa che avevo chiesto a cui non sapeva rispondere... la tassa di

Ho prenotato con coupon ma avevo già delle alternative perché avevo letto le pessime recensioni. Avevamo camera visita lago, uno spettacolo. Peccato per il rumore della superstrada proprio sotto l'albergo. Stanza piccola ma essenziale e pulita. Bagno nella norma pulito senza muffa, doccia piccolissima. No aria condizionata solo ventilatore a soffitto. Siamo stati fortunati che la sera era sempre un po' ventilato e si riusciva a dormire. Ma il rumore del traffico è fastidioso, consiglio tappi per orecchie. Per quanto riguarda la colazione, che dire, ne abbiamo usufruito solo 2 su 6 , abbiamo preferito un bar/pasticceria poco distante. Avevamo la mezza pensione, consiglio mangiare altrove, in Umbria si mangia benissimo ovunque tranne lì. Per cucinare così male ci vuole parecchio impegno. La titolare Luana con noi è stata gentile e disponibile, ma anche noi siamo stati educati. Se vi occorre un appoggio comodo ed economico per visitare il lago e dintorni e non siete troppo esigente va bene. La cosa migliore è la piscina dove potersi tuffare e rilassare dopo una giornata passata ad esplorare i dintorni che meritano.

Not much to stay that hasn’t already been said about this property. It’s just a great as everyone has raved about. The service, the country side location, the history, the beautifully restored and maintained property all make for marvelous stay and experience. Since this is 5 stay property the one thing I would add is a couple notes to improve: they should be more vigilant about windows and bugs in the rooms, the doors should be updated since they are quite cumbersome to use due to their age and the ability to lock someone inside the room from the outside, and finally the rug in my room was not in best shape in probably needs to be replaced. Would definitely recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

Another great stay at this very charming and discreet hotel in the glorious Umbrian countryside. We came here 7 years ago and were not disappointed on our return. Rooms are superbly appointed and very authentically Umbrian, with lots of space and great products in the bathroom. There are two beautifully quiet pools on site to serve the different areas of the hotel, as well as a relatively new and very high quality spa with a heated pool and jacuzzi, as well as a sauna and steam room. Dinner on the half-board option was very impressive, as was the wine list. Breakfast was also very nice, although service was sometimes a bit slow and the buffet was sometimes re-stocked rather slowly after busy periods, but it wasn’t a big problem, as long as you’re not in a hurry. Meals were taken in the beautiful courtyard outside the main building, which is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy the fresh air and the impressive gardens. The staff at reception were always extremely helpful and ready with advice if needed, as well as helping us with restaurant and day trip recommendations. The views are too stunning to describe in words. A special hotel if you are celebrating something important or just want a luxurious break somewhere discreet and peaceful.

My primary interest was to stay close to Val d'Orca having seen such beautiful pictures of the place. However, when I bumped into Relias Villa Grazianella during my stay search in Tuscany, the pictures of the accommodation were too perfect to resist even though the location looked a bit further out from Pienza. Having visited, I am absolutely glad I made this decision LOCATION : This place looks like something out of a movie - secluded, with the feel of being so closely connected to nature, the view of shimmering lights of Montepulciano some distance away on a hill, completely surrounded by Olive trees and Vineyards. It is simply magical and makes you want to come back again and again. During the Tuscany visit I got to see a lot of farm stays, BnB etc but the size, scale, location and ambience of this place is incomparable by any other. The Villa sits in the middle of acres of agriculture land owned by a large corporate. The ambience is perfect to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful nature and landscape. Montepulciano is not too far from this location. VILLA : A perfect blend of traditional Italian with the modern comfort. The rooms are very large with windows opening to some extremely beautiful views and sounds of birds chirping. The restaurant decor and setup is cozy and inviting. The property's landscape is just too heavenly and beautiful. FOOD : The best food throughout our Italian trip. Fresh ingredients and excellent preparations for breakfast, what one expects from an accommodation in Tuscany. Excellent variety and portions. The true Italian smells and tastes one was looking for. STAFF : Good friendly staff, makes you feel at home. Especially the lady serving us breakfast in the morning (unfortunately forgot to ask her name) treated us like we were guests in her own home. This place is truly heaven on earth and worth booking without a thought. I wish we could have stayed longer, but will be definitely back again.

The San Luca is obviously a popular hotel in Cortona and for a reason. Built into the hillside, it is right at the start of the town’s main walking street and basically all its rooms offer amazing views, including the lower situated rooms. The rooms are simple but elegant and the bed sheets are really great quality. The breakfast room also has great views as well as a good variety, including many savoury items. The only area where the place could improve is the reception where especially the younger staff lacks some hospitality skills. They should definitely explain the unusual set up of the hotel as the reception is the first level and the one below is the second, then the third. Given that this is Tuscany, the San Luca is not a cheap hotel but for a gym with a view, it might very well be worth the splash.
