The hotel itself was nice but the meal & service at the restaurant was dreadful. My husband's pasta was virtually raw & had the texture of cardboard. When we told the waiter he said it was cooked the Italian way, 'al dente'. I said, 'no, my pasta was al dente but my husband's is undercooked'. Waiter did not care, attitude was condescending. No apology made, no replacement meal offered. Also, a bright garden light was shining right at my husband's face and when this was pointed out there was no offer to redirect light's glare. He did offer another table but when we pointed out the next guests would have the same problem this point was ignored. It took about 10 minutes to get the glass of wine we ordered and we had to remind staff about the order. When we checked out we told the receptionist about the poor service at the restaurant and, although apologetic, no recompense was offered. Shame, because the hotel itself is lovely.
