Unbelievably bad hotel. After 9 pm, the reception leaves the hotel. I was able to enter the hotel by accident. I'm not counting other things. Stay away.

I purposely booked a hotel rather than another rental for this first night as I wanted a front desk on staff. There was No One there upon arrival. We had to call someone via what's ap. Luckily my phone worked internationally or we would have been unable to get in.
Once in, we were asked when we wanted breakfast, so we set it up for 8am. Again the next morning, no one was present at the front desk. in fact no one was there our entire stay. We ended up leaving the keys in the room.
Also the air conditioner in the room was basically non functional. We had it set to 16 degrees and it felt like 24 the entire time. We were able to open the windows in the middle of the night but in the early morning hours they began setting up the market on the street below, so due to noise we had to close those again.
Overall pick somewhere else. This is not a true hotel at all.

Hotel fantastico, bellissima accoglienza , receptionist molto cordiale , gentile e disponibile , la colazione era molto ricca , i servizi ottimi, la pulizia eccellente. È Ubicato nella zona centrale, quindi ben servita da bus e metropolitana

Ottimo hotel posizione strategica per potersi muovere al centro di Catania senza auto.colazione buona personale cordiale. Stanze pulite. Sicuramente ve lo consiglio. Facile per poter fare acquisti in zona molto sorvegliata.il proprietario è simpaticissimo.

Terrible welcome by a lady who was rude to the point of threatening for having pointed out that the room had: window glass dangerously cracked, shower glass brutally cracked, air conditioning, heating that doesn't work, blocked sink, toilet seat detached, hairdryer unscrewed from the wall. He had the courage to say that everything was fine before and that we needed to tell him right away. Too bad that when we looked for her she wasn't there and she lied about that too. What can I say, I have to stay there for two more days, should I expect repercussions? Or was I really supposed to keep quiet here? The first-hand contact with different cultures and education is nice but I wouldn't want to have to think that Catania is all like this, so I want to think that this is an isolated case to be absolutely avoided.
