"Departing from Catania Airport, this airport hotel is just a 4-minute drive away. The room was quite spacious, but the facilities were very outdated. Since we arrived on a late flight and were taking a bus from near the airport to Palermo the next day, it was the perfect choice. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the airport, and the shuttle bus clearly has the hotel's logo on it. (There was some miscommunication between the hotel and Trip.com regarding the late-night airport pickup, which led to ineffective communication. We eventually figured it out by using common sense and spotting the vehicle's logo at the airport drop-off point for departures, though it caused quite a delay before we successfully got on board.) On a positive note, the hotel also provides free luggage storage, which was a nice touch!"

"The hotel is neat, the breakfast is really very extensive and has everything. What is strange is that you have to pay for the bottle of water from the fridge. This is poorly indicated in the hotel only at the reception. Furthermore, fine beds and friendly people."

"The hotel is clean, quiet and safe. It is only a 15-minute walk from the train station. Tickets for buses to Taormina and Mount Etna are purchased at the bus terminal next to the train station. Remember, there is only one bus to Mount Etna per day, which departs at 8:15. It is best to queue up to buy tickets at 6:45 in the morning, otherwise you will not be allowed to get on the bus even if you buy a ticket if you go too late. There are two supermarkets next to the hotel where you can buy daily necessities. It is a three-minute walk from the main road, Via Etna, and the airport bus stop is just a two-minute walk from the hotel. In short, everything is perfect."

"This area is relatively off-site, it is not convenient to walk from the train station, taxis or buses are better. The people staying at the hotel are quite mixed but the hotel service is attentive. The breakfast is not rich but fresh. Personally, I feel that the whole city of Catania does not have many characteristics, so it is suitable for staying during long-distance rest."

"The hotel is far from the city center and there is no supermarket within one kilometer. It is recommended to bring more bottled water. The hotel has complete supporting facilities and the price is reasonable. It is a good choice to stay for two days to rest. The hotel's restaurant has good food and reasonable prices. You can try it. "The hotel is great, the most central part of Catania, in the middle of the church and Elephant Square, but very quiet and private. The whole hotel has a good smell of aroma, simple but not simple, the bed is very comfortable, sleepless every day. The staff is very good, the English is OK, there are a lot of delicious people around, they will also give you advice. There are homemade toiletries, carefully crafted with Sicilian fruit, great. There is a private spa room on the first floor, you have to book in advance, the technique is very good ~ cost-effective. The room is very spacious, Italy has lived the largest room, hahaha"

- The location is good too. It is just a 10-min walk to the station and also the airport bus.
- The interior design is amazing and it has a very beautiful ceiling.

LLoh See PingPerfect location as we could walk to many attractions nearby! The lady and her mother who owns the B&B speak fluent English and was able to assist us with transport areangement, dietary preferences for breakfast and great suggestions on how to spend the day at Catania! The breakfast overlooks a lovely garden and rooms were big, comfortable and super spacious. A memorable stay indeed!

CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

High ceilings, ample natural light, and comfortable furnishings made the stay enjoyable. The room was well-equipped with air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and a small workspace. Overall, a comfortable and updated interior within a historic building.

But I cannot understand why there’s never a plug beside the bed. People need to charge their phones.
The bathroom is ok but there is nothing to place the toiletries in the shower, so you’re forced to either bend over in a very small space either open the shower multiple times and make a mess.
The main issue is the breakfast. It’s the land of desolation and it’s really a pity.
The croissants and the brioches are good, but regardless of the time of your arrival it’s never refurnished.
No marmalades, 3 butters, 2 Nutellas, only one typeof cereal, no milk.
Everything is missing, it seems raided.
Why pay for an hotel breakfast if there’s less food that at home or any café?
It could happen once, not constantly.

AA. LozanoThe room is very modern and clean. All has been recently renovated. They offer contactless check in, which is convenient. The room has a little balcony with nice views of Catania.
It is loud and busy outside, but the windows are of good quality so if you keep them closed it will be quiet. Air conditioning is available as well.
The room has a big flat screen television offering smart TV services including Netflix.

Location is good.
I won’t recommend the hotel due to the one rude staff who blamed me for putting a key on the wrong door(there were two doors before the reception).
At that time I was super tired after walking all day but he ordered me to wait until he finished talking on the phone with angry face. He called me off that I almost damaged the door by clicking the key too much and the other customers could haven’t use it then I have to pay for the damage. He even mentioned the price for it.
Then I had to show him that I can use the keys in the right place and turn them properly.
The worst customer service I’ve ever had and my trip was damaged..

AAnonymous UserThe location is very good, really near from the tourist attractions. It is also surrounded with restaurants and bars. The big local market is just right to the next street. The neighborhood may look odd from the beginning but it is safe. The bed is comfortable. This is a free breakfast place, but the breakfast options are the easy to go ones. The owner doesn’t speak English but can work with google translate. He also offers a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel for €20. The walls are so thin so you can hear everything outside of your bedroom. This is most likely ideal for young people as the place is in front of different bars, so, it is very loud during the evening until 1 in the night.
