Beautiful scenery, excellent service

Stayed here for 10 days, Meet and greet team and all the restaurant staff were amazing and helpful, Nina the cleaner is a delight, breakfast is adequate but does not change much, would recommend getting to the diner as early as possible. Hotel is clean and very tidy throughout, jacuzzi is welcome on the terrazzo but is a bit small , the views of the mountains, see and people going about their day to day activities can be enjoyed by the jacuzzi aswell, staff are always happy to help and advise on where to go in town if you need something

We have just returned from a week in the beautiful town of Cefalu in Sicily - an area which we first visited in 2017. This time we stayed in the Astro Suite Hotel and here are our comments (some positive and some negative) which hopefully will help others to make a decision on where to stay: The good: Location - the hotel is in an excellent location being just across the road from the main beach at Cefalu and less than a 10 minute walk from the old town where there are lots of restaurants and shops to wander around. The best restaurants we found were La Brace and Le Chat Noir. There is a very good supermarket (Deco) around a 5 minute walk from the hotel which stays open until 10pm. Also, the train station at Cefalu has trains direct to Palermo in under an hour should you wish to visit the capital. Cleanliness - the rooms and all areas of the hotel are super clean. Towels are changed daily. Kitchenette - well equipped with everything you'd need if you wanted to cook. Staff - without exception, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool - the hotel has a small swimming pool with sun loungers. The pool is rather shallow but fine if you have young children. The not-so-good: Breakfast - the hotel serves a continental-style breakfast, so no hot food at all. We found the choice to be rather limited. I think the hotel should offer a wider selection of cold meats and cheeses than they currently do. Sun loungers on beach - the hotel does not have its own private area of the beach and therefore the sun loungers come at a charge. For us (3 people) this came to 35 euros per day (and more expensive at the weekend). So if you are staying for a week or more, this can add up to quite a significant amount. The hotel does loan parasols free of charge though if you don't mind laying out a towel on the sand. Beach hawkers - there seems to be a large number of people walking up and down the beach trying to sell you stuff all day long. Gets rather tiresome. Check-out - the time for checking out of the hotel on your last day is 10.30am. However, if you are not leaving for the airport until later in the day the only facility the hotel can offer you to have a shower before you leave is the outside shower by the side of the pool and then to get changed in the toilet cubicle near reception. Not very satisfactory!

My wife and I traveled for one week in Sicily. We stayed 4 nights at this resort and we enjoyed it immensely. It started with the check in process by Angela. She was wonderful describing all the benefits of the resort. She then smiled and said we had been upgraded to room 407. This was fantastic because this particular room was a suite with two different balconies, one facing the sea and one facing the gardens and pool. The entire ground are superbly maintained and clean. The rooms spotless, which is very important to my wife and I. The restaurant and bar staff provided great service with a smile, always willing to provide directions or recommendations. The food itself, while good was not great. Breakfast was good and a great way to start our site seeing. Be prepared to take a ten minute walk down into town. The walk back up to the resort can be challenging, but taxi's are plentiful and only 15 Euro. The resort itself is very laid back. It provided a quite get away that we were looking for. We will be back, and we highly recommend this resort.

As a family of four we really enjoyed two days on our round trip of Sicily at this beautiful hotel. The hotel has everything you need. It has clean and spacious rooms, a tasty breakfast, a great pool area, private beaches with a marvelous scenery and the possibility to do yoga classes and use the gym. July is really hot. The kids spent basically all day at the pool and really enjoyed it. Just watch out not to get sunburned. Another thing to watch out for is that it is extremely slippery around the pool. We saw three guests fall, one who broke two toes falling. Maybe the hotel should put up more signs to encourage cautiousness around the pool. The rooms were really clean and you get an extra beach bag with towels for the pool or beach. The breakfast offered plenty of possibilities, eggs of all kinds, coffees, bread, cereals etc. they also offer delicious gluten free options. The yoga class is really recommended. Angela, a Swedish yoga instructor, offers classes four times a week. The spa treatment is also recommended and at the gym you have a decent selection of multi-gyms, treadmills, dumbbells etc. We stayed at room with even numbers and unfortunately an infant called our room 15-20 times during our stay, waking us up both mornings at six something and waking our kids up one of the nights. The hotel of course couldn’t help this and offered us to check out one hour later on the last day, and a complementary drink. It was really annoying so if you can avoid staying at 111 it might be smart, but hopefully the hotel finds a way to block these kind of random calls. The hotel is located a 15-20 minute walk away from Cefalu. Due to the parking situation in Cefalu I would recommend to take a taxi. It should cost you around 11-12 EUR.

Located on the seafront, a short walk from Cefalù centre, Cefalù Sea Palace offers stunning views of the town and sea. Just 10 metres from the sea, it offers a free private beach and wellness facilities. The hotel's private beach includes free sun loungers and parasols, a bar, toilets and showers. This bed & breakfast is 0.6 mi (1 km) from Osteria Magno and 0.6 mi (1 km) from Church of Purgatory.Take in the views from a terrace and a garden and make use of amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access.A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Am under rated and hidden gem on the North coast of Sicily. We're use to the Canaries having tried all the islands and found this through Jet2. Costa Verde hotel is just a couple of hours from the airport. A 10 minute bus ride into the gorgeous Cefalu (where we saw the beach in White Lotus). Also less than an hour from Palermo. Although we never made it that far having enjoyed the hotel amenities so much. A hotel with it's own water park, separate to, but included just a short walk away. The park is often under utilised and has it's own pool and sun loungers if you want to escape the two pools at the hotel. The kids loved it so much and we all raved about the food. Plenty of simple but immensely tasty Italian dishes done to perfection. Plenty of seafood too. Ample choice of restaurants and bars. I've noticed some complaints about water but it is plentiful unless you want your own bottled water in your room for example. Just nip out and grab some from Cefalu if the bottles on sale don't suit. The staff are incredible. Each working from 9am to 1am 6 days a week it takes a great deal of commitment. They smile and entertain every day without fail. A massive thank you to Giovanni especially, and Tristan too. These guys were so nice, the kids loved them and they provided entertainment all day, performed on stage at night at the ampi theatre and made the party at the disco into the small hours. Incredible people and thank you again. This is still very much a hotel for Italians and very few Brits are here. So don't be surprised if they speak to you in Italian. But they all speak English too. The beach is at minute free ”party bus” ride away with it's own restaurant and sun beds included in the all inclusive package. So much us included in the all inclusive that we spend less than a hundred Euro all week. And that was only because of what we bought in Cefalu, the nearby town. It's a place you grow to love and we will definitely be back again. (And we never do the same place twice). Thank you!

In fairness as a couple of empty nesters this wasn't the best choice. If you have young kids you should have a good time. Very noisy everywhere (room, breakfast etc) - seemed to be a Sicilian thing. We stayed over looking the sea, nice balcony lovely view. The downside which we were aware of is you are right by the evening/nightime entertainment. Day time entertainment was poor so we headed to the free beach which was lovely, as mentioned before there are no toilets and is about a 10 min walk . I wouldn't recommended eating there in the evening but breakfast was fine. Cheap supermarket over the road with really good red wines for around 3 euros! Staff at reception helpful, also gelato (amazing) staff friendly, bar staff not so. Nice long walk into Cefalu. Don't do as we did and walk from the train station to the hotel with cases, the pavements come and go and it's an Italian road, just get the bus.
