Cefalu Hotels with Pools

Beautiful scenery, excellent service

My wife and I traveled for one week in Sicily. We stayed 4 nights at this resort and we enjoyed it immensely. It started with the check in process by Angela. She was wonderful describing all the benefits of the resort. She then smiled and said we had been upgraded to room 407. This was fantastic because this particular room was a suite with two different balconies, one facing the sea and one facing the gardens and pool. The entire ground are superbly maintained and clean. The rooms spotless, which is very important to my wife and I. The restaurant and bar staff provided great service with a smile, always willing to provide directions or recommendations. The food itself, while good was not great. Breakfast was good and a great way to start our site seeing. Be prepared to take a ten minute walk down into town. The walk back up to the resort can be challenging, but taxi's are plentiful and only 15 Euro. The resort itself is very laid back. It provided a quite get away that we were looking for. We will be back, and we highly recommend this resort.

As a family of four we really enjoyed two days on our round trip of Sicily at this beautiful hotel. The hotel has everything you need. It has clean and spacious rooms, a tasty breakfast, a great pool area, private beaches with a marvelous scenery and the possibility to do yoga classes and use the gym. July is really hot. The kids spent basically all day at the pool and really enjoyed it. Just watch out not to get sunburned. Another thing to watch out for is that it is extremely slippery around the pool. We saw three guests fall, one who broke two toes falling. Maybe the hotel should put up more signs to encourage cautiousness around the pool. The rooms were really clean and you get an extra beach bag with towels for the pool or beach. The breakfast offered plenty of possibilities, eggs of all kinds, coffees, bread, cereals etc. they also offer delicious gluten free options. The yoga class is really recommended. Angela, a Swedish yoga instructor, offers classes four times a week. The spa treatment is also recommended and at the gym you have a decent selection of multi-gyms, treadmills, dumbbells etc. We stayed at room with even numbers and unfortunately an infant called our room 15-20 times during our stay, waking us up both mornings at six something and waking our kids up one of the nights. The hotel of course couldn’t help this and offered us to check out one hour later on the last day, and a complementary drink. It was really annoying so if you can avoid staying at 111 it might be smart, but hopefully the hotel finds a way to block these kind of random calls. The hotel is located a 15-20 minute walk away from Cefalu. Due to the parking situation in Cefalu I would recommend to take a taxi. It should cost you around 11-12 EUR.

Lovely location, but could be so much better! Positives: location, 5 minute walk to the beautiful Cefalu. Fantastic views from the roof-top restaurant. Beach with free sun beds just across the road. Friendly reception staff. Large clean rooms. Negatives: they have a kind of outside club night out front on a Saturday (and some Fridays) - if you have a bedroom near this you will get NO sleep until 3am! It is ridiculous and would completely stop us returning to this hotel. Jet 2 and possibly other holiday providers do not tell you about this. We did get a free evening dinner from the hotel (which was very good) as a good will gesture but you can’t get your sleep back! All the other negatives are mostly to do with lack of staff and lack of attention to detail. Breakfast was ok, but there weren’t enough staff - no one refilling empty items because they were making coffees for example. There was a poor selection of fruit (some of it gone by 9am), but the cheese was excellent. Also slightly strange that the hot goods were not kept on hot plates, so were often cold. There are eggs cooked (begrudgingly) for you which were nice. Also, with only 2 waiters lots of the tables were left messy and used plates etc aren’t taken away at breakfast. Just not as good as it should be. There is a nice pool area, but again some lack of attention to detail because of lack of staff. So, the ladies’ toilet by the pool had no hand wash/soap for several days. Surely it shouldn’t be up to a guest to inform reception of this, it should be being checked. Just a couple of examples. We felt like unlike other similar star hotels we missed the personal Touch - we didn’t get to know any of the staff for example, I think because they were all so rushed! The rooms were good and large but definitely need some updates. The lack of sockets is a real problem. Cleaning and fresh towels seemed to be pretty good. Basically this hotel could be so much better, with a few easy changes.

Am under rated and hidden gem on the North coast of Sicily. We're use to the Canaries having tried all the islands and found this through Jet2. Costa Verde hotel is just a couple of hours from the airport. A 10 minute bus ride into the gorgeous Cefalu (where we saw the beach in White Lotus). Also less than an hour from Palermo. Although we never made it that far having enjoyed the hotel amenities so much. A hotel with it's own water park, separate to, but included just a short walk away. The park is often under utilised and has it's own pool and sun loungers if you want to escape the two pools at the hotel. The kids loved it so much and we all raved about the food. Plenty of simple but immensely tasty Italian dishes done to perfection. Plenty of seafood too. Ample choice of restaurants and bars. I've noticed some complaints about water but it is plentiful unless you want your own bottled water in your room for example. Just nip out and grab some from Cefalu if the bottles on sale don't suit. The staff are incredible. Each working from 9am to 1am 6 days a week it takes a great deal of commitment. They smile and entertain every day without fail. A massive thank you to Giovanni especially, and Tristan too. These guys were so nice, the kids loved them and they provided entertainment all day, performed on stage at night at the ampi theatre and made the party at the disco into the small hours. Incredible people and thank you again. This is still very much a hotel for Italians and very few Brits are here. So don't be surprised if they speak to you in Italian. But they all speak English too. The beach is at minute free ”party bus” ride away with it's own restaurant and sun beds included in the all inclusive package. So much us included in the all inclusive that we spend less than a hundred Euro all week. And that was only because of what we bought in Cefalu, the nearby town. It's a place you grow to love and we will definitely be back again. (And we never do the same place twice). Thank you!

We had a fantastic holiday. Love the hotel. It's authentic and Italian. We had no complaints about the food; there was plenty of choice. The room was immaculately clean and towels and sheets were changed frequently. We weren't affected by noise - there is a main road just outside but we were able to shut the balcony door at night and keep the air con on. The pool was lovely and it was peaceful by the pool. Staff were generally friendly - it helps if you can say a few words in Italian, particularly thank you. The staff work hard - all hours. I sometimes feel embarrassed to be British as the Brits can always find something to complain about. The weather could not have better and we loved the beach. All tourists were polite, friendly and well behaved. The 2K walk to Cefalu old town is lovely. The town itself is beautiful and full of culture and beautiful buildings. There are plenty of places to eat and lots of delicious ice cream and cannoli. I don't know what people want at times. We would give it 4 stars. Depends what you want of course. Might be different when the kids are off school. We went out of school time. Can't wait to go back.

This Victoria Place room in Cefal has no surprises, but the location is very good, right by the sea, you can sit in the open-air bar area outside the gate to watch the sunset, especially the view of the rooftop breakfast room is worth mark... In addition, the hotel’s underground The entrance to the car park is on Via Pintorno on the back of the hotel. It is not possible to get around from the front of the hotel.

This is a lovely clean b&b close to the centre of Cefalu. The communication with the host, Daniela, prior to arrival, was first class and she goes out of her way to welcome you and make you feel at home. The breakfast was superb and the property and rooms are well maintained and spotlessly clean. Daniela’s family have a restaurant about 500m away for which guests receive a 10% discount. It is very good. The property has a private carpark which is a real boon in Cefalu where parking is at a premium (even in March). I would heartily recommend this guest house and would certainly use it again.
