We like everything about the hotel except for two things:
1. There was a miscommunication regarding breakfast. We were told that breakfast was included so we had breakfast at the hotel everyday. At checkout, we found that our room didn't include breakfast. We paid for all breakfasts that we had at the hotel. No issues but had we known this, we would have taken the opportunity to try out the cafes around the area on some mornings.
Breakfast however at the hotel was very nice. Good value. Service at breakfast was exceptional. Luca brightens up the place when he's there. There was one day that he had a day off and the place noticeably was missing his smiles and bright personality. I still would recommended this hotel to friends and family. And even if not staying at this hotel, try out their breakfast.
2. The walls of our room had marks on them. A lick of paint on the affected areas would have made a huge difference.

The hotel's location outside the old town is actually a good thing. Being outside the pedestrian zone made it super easy to unload & use car for day trips outside Ljubjlana. Anyway, it was just a block outside of the zone, so it wasn't a big deal to walk to the old town. Room was super modern, could have used a little more seating - perhaps a small couch. All beds were being replaced when we left. We missed out on the new ones, but didn't notice that the old ones were in bad shape... Breakfast was wonderful. Huge a la carte selection, and staff wanted us to order as much as we wanted. They seemed genuinely concerned that we were not eating enough! Parking was so convenient: car was immediately available when we needed.

Hotel Cubo is a well positioned hotel near old town in Ljubljana. The rooms were well-laid out and the toilet was separate from the rest of the bathroom which made getting ready much easier with 2 people. The mini bar was free which was a nice treat. For breakfast, you could use whatever your heart desired from the menu. The big reason to stay here though is the staff. To a person, they were incredibly helpful with making restaurant recommendations and reservations as well as helping plan a trip to Lake Bled (along with procuring reasonable transportation). I've stayed in many hotels but haven't received service this professional, friendly and good in a very long time.

Friendly and helpful staff, complimentary mini bar, delicious all you can eat a la crate breakfast, spaceious room and bathroom with large tub, comfortable bed and duvet, free local cell phone which guest could brought out when visiting the city, great location near the old city center.
Overall a wonderful stay.

I loved this hotel for many reasons , Location : 300m walk to the big attractions and the river . You can literally walk back to your room to use the toilet rather then lay 1€ to use the toilets in the old city . Pricing: very reasonable pricing for the central location . Book direct with them rather than search engines where these search engines take 20-30% of the room rate as their profits . Room: warm and powerful showers , super comfortable bed and pillows that caused me to sleep instantaneously. Wireless and comms: Digital keys, complimentary GPS devices for you to bring out to track your location , make complimentary calls for first 10 minutes etc . Very modern and up to date . Breakfast - it is a table service . You need not engage in a buffet fight, just order what you wish and they will bring for you. You just sit and enjoy the atmosphere and thereafter enjoy the delicious recent cooked meals - not those that sit in buffet pots . Staff- great staff - was able to check in early in the day as they had a room available . It is no guarantee, but they will try to accommodate you if the room is ready .

Super modern and stylish right on the edge of old Ljubljana- perfect location for sightseeing and restaurants. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They are very genuine and give great service. Breakfast was amazing.

Nice hotel in the center! Rooms are big, all the facilities you need. Breakfast is ala carte hence no buffet which was amazing! The staff are so friendly and helpful. One of the best business trips-hotels I’ve ever stayed at

The stay at the CUBO hotel exceeded expectations. Ljubljana is a beautiful city and the hotel is very close to the city center with walks along the river, relaxing dinners outside and wonderful people everywhere from the breakfast server to the front desk manager. I highly recommend a stay at the Hotel CUBO

Located a few dozen meters from Zvezda Park and close to the triple bridge, the banks of the Ljuljanica, bars and restaurants, this hotel is really ideally located and allowed us to peacefully visit the Slovenian capital. Professional and warm welcome by a young receptionist, smiling and speaking English very well, not at all stingy with advice on the operation of the hotel, visits and things not to miss (Thank you for the good addresses!!). Same compliments to the rest of the staff. Large, modern and functional room. Same thing for the bathroom. Impeccably clean. Quiet and very well soundproofed hotel. Windows overlooking a fairly busy avenue but very efficient double-glazing. Exceptional breakfast. No buffet, everything is a la carte. And what a card!! Exceptional dishes, unlimited, very well cooked, fresh products, “real” coffee, “real” fruit juices, bread and pastries with good taste… And a friendly, efficient, fast and always friendly service. care!…only happiness before going for a walk!! Bravo and thank you to all the staff of this hotel for the excellent stay we had there and congratulations to the Slovenians for their smiles, their welcome, their kindness and their joie de vivre.
