Nice View of the Mont Blanc. Too expensive for what one's get. A very poor breakfast not attended by the staff. Not even a bottle of drinking water in the room. Rooms very small but quite clean. Old bath with a broken soap dispenser. Everything needs renovation and refurbishment.

What a lovely find!! Booked on the day of our arrival due to a change in our road trip plans, The Lanchers is a 25 minute riverside walk from the centre of Chamonix. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh bed linen and towels and a bath!! We were up and out too early to take advantage of breakfast! The lady on reception was most helpful in securing us a room for the night and so we would definitely recommend the hotel and look to stay again should our travels take us to Chamonix!

The structure is a little dated but suitable for a quick, transient stay like ours. We had an upgrade to the superior room which was very bright and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Carpet everywhere otherwise ok. Very friendly staff. The restaurant was closed so we cannot comment on that. Pleasant walk of about twenty minutes to get to the center of Chamonix without taking the car. Possibility of free parking in front of the structure, depending on the season.

We decide to leave and passing in front of our two 'interlocutors' we greet them as people with notions of politeness, and there not a word not a look...disdain. Avoid!

What a desappointment ! The restaurant is not up to par with the place.... mediocre food, an appetizer tray with 4 tiny slices of sausage + mediocre cheese. The burrata with tomato salad is industrial and tasteless...it's more like mozzarella! The service is long (even though there was no one there!). A bad Irish coffee.... I left with the impression that we had been made fun of! I WILL NOT COME BACK ANYMORE!
