We only had lunch at this place and did not stay but it was worth it, excellent restaurant service with a good choice of Lao cuisine, stylish furnishings and very kind and hospitable staff as in the rest of Laos!!! I highly recommend it

Residence Bassac is a charming gem. Everything is done beautifully - the spacious, light and beautifully decorated and very comfortable rooms, the amazing restaurant, in a lovely setting and with delicious Laotian and western food cooked by the very talented Egyptian chef (including the amazing hazelnut gnocchi), a feast of a breakfast overlooking the Mekong, and the delightful staff. The staff were very helpful in helping us arrange our trip via emails before we arrived and during our stay. The reception area also has a lovely selection of absolutely gorgeous Laotian handicrafts from the charming nearby shop, Chez Maman. Our family just wished we had stayed longer - and we shall definitely return to Champasak and Residence Bassac.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful setting, we spent four days there, the service, the rooms, the staff, and the breakfasts, everything is impeccable, thank you for this moment out of time! I highly recommend it for all foreigners visiting the south of the country.

The first time I went to Champasak. I have chosen to stay at Residence Bassac very impressive, good atmosphere, beautiful view close to Mekong River,nice service,clean room ,near wonderful tourist attractions like Wat Phou Champasak.I fall in love and recommend whoever visit Champasak Ressidence Bassac is the best hotel in Champasak.

We stayed one night in this hotel. An old colonial house has been renovated and divided between a “rooms/bungalows” section in a lush garden at the back of the establishment and a restaurant: “Soum Noum” on the street front. The extension along the Mekong was not recommended to us because of the mosquitoes. We had dinner at this restaurant and have made a separate review of it. It was certainly one of our best meals during our stay in Laos. The welcome at the hotel in French was particularly warm. The rooms are luxurious and very well equipped. We received a room with an original mezzanine overlooking a garden at the back of the establishment. The stay was relaxing and calm. Even though the establishment does not have a swimming pool, we enjoyed stopping there.
