The hotel upgraded me to a superior king-size bed room for free, which was very satisfying. They also gave me two bottles of drinks for free, one bottle of Coke and one bottle of Sprite. By far the best accommodation in Chengde, in relation between price and quality. The service was amazing!!! I don't know how much money the reception ladies make, but they deserve a raise, every single time I had a question they were able to answer, from places to go, to places to eat. Limited english support, of course, but a translation app does the job. The room I stayed in was male-only. The beds all had curtains, an indoor light, and a private plug for charging, so no complaints. The in-room bathroom was always clean aswell. The only con would be the amenities, no towel, no toothbrush, but I had brought my own so not a problem for me, and this is begging to look like common practice at hostels worlwide. And you need to make your own bed. Aside from that everything was perfect.

The stay was ok. The pros were the very kind women at the front desk. The location is great. The shower was good with a lot of hot water. When I had a specific complaint about a room, I got another room instantly. There were several cons though. The whole hotel smelled of smoked and perfume that tried to cover the smoke smell. The cleaning standard does not live up to our standards. There were several hairs from the previous guests. The floor was dusty in corners and under the bed. The river couldn’t be seen well due to dirty windows. The bed was very hard. The breakfast is McDonalds, we were hoping to get traditional Chinese breakfast.

Although the hotel price was relatively high during the National Day holiday, I still stayed very comfortable and satisfied, 5 points! The location of Atour is very good, a few minutes' walk from the entrance of the Mountain Resort and the airport bus stop, and the surrounding area is very lively and good for shopping. The room is also very quiet and comfortable to sleep in, and the waiter is warm and hospitable. The breakfast is also very rich, but there are too many people during the National Day holiday, which affects the dining experience.

Being a part of Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort, the hotel is one of Emperor Qianlong's 36 scenic spots of Chengde (#6). The hotel itself has a lot of historical value, not only the building but the garden areas. The tree in the middle of the compound is 300 years old and has been here since the beginning. Pro: location is one of the best if you're looking to visit Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort (500m away from the front gate), the rooms & beds are clean and comfortable. Con: one downside is that the breakfast buffet area, the facilities are dated and the breakfast options are geared towards more Chinese style breakfast, no Western continental breakfast here so come prepared.

The room is nice. The sculptures in the lobby are really good. You should put up a brief introduction, a scenic spot explanation, and talk about the murals. I admired it for a long time, but I didn't see it all. It would be better if there were more local characteristics in the breakfast, such as the mixed bean curd skin, which is different from other places. It's great~ The coffee machine is very busy, so get another one... In addition... the almond tea is really sweet... I suggest not to make it so sweet, I can't drink it even if I want to. When I arrived at the hotel, I found that there were no children's products. I called the hotel front desk to ask for children's products and soon delivered special slippers, bath towels, toothbrushes, bath gel and a thin quilt for the child. They helped us put the two beds together into a huge big bed. Since there was a plan to put the bed together, I brought a small mattress and put it on the seam, which was really comfortable. The hotel gave us a bathing ticket in Rehe. My husband went there twice and said that if the room was really crowded, the bathing overnight was also an option. The hardware was good, but there were many details about the charges. The hotel also provided a heater, which made the room a lot more comfortable after 10 o'clock in the evening. People who check in later need to pay attention: the hotel does not have soap, the shower head has no rod, which means that in addition to the sun shower head, your handheld shower head can only be fixed at a height, there are no bathroom slippers but no bathroom anti-slip mat, so you can only go barefoot. Children need to pay half price for breakfast (more than 30 yuan per time). Try to get a room near the river for a better view!

The room is clean and tidy, and the cleaning staff is very good. Maybe they saw children in the room and gave it to us. Disposable face towels, soaps, etc. are added; the elevator entrance on the 4th floor where you stay is right next to the gym and laundry room, with 3 washing machines and 3 dryers, which can be dried in half an hour; the most satisfying thing is the buffet breakfast. There is a wide variety of drinks, coffee, cold dishes and hot dishes, and the service is very good. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Chengde. Highly recommended.
