Its architectural design beautifully replicates a classical Chinese imperial garden, offering a serene and picturesque environment. A delightful highlight is the opportunity to spot sika deer and various birds right from your bed, making it an ideal retreat for a relaxing holiday or exploring the resort. However, it's a pity that the interior layout and facilities feel quite dated. The bed was also rather small, and the linens were uncomfortable, with the duvet being noticeably thin. On a positive note, the bathroom lighting was excellent. However, adopting energy-saving light sources would not only be more eco-friendly but also help reduce heat emission."

"The staff is very friendly and they have upgraded my reservation. The undisrupted river view is amazing. The Chinese restaurant which is located at the hotel is very good. We enjoyed dinner at the this restaurant. They also kind enough to give a small gift for my daughter. Hope stay agin in the future. Thank you"

"The hotel's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient to reach all attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming! Breakfast offered a rich variety and superb quality. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also fantastic; the food was wonderfully cooked and delicious. Even as a Southerner, I found the flavors perfectly to my liking! The cleanliness was also impeccable. This hotel is undoubtedly the top choice when visiting Chengde, and its number one ranking is absolutely justified!"

"New hotel, with spotless facilities and friendly staff. It's very close to the Chengde South Station, which is handy for high speed trains - though is a bus ride or taxi ride away from downtown Chengde and the Mountain Resort area. (Bus 29 takes you down there, but takes a while). Breakfast was good, and there are snacks in reception wheel you come back. The restaurant is only open in the morning - no bar/other facilities, but there are places to eat/shop nearby, though the area feels very new and developing. It was a great choice for me as I came in and out of Chengde South Station and I used the hotel as my base."

"The room was impeccably clean, tidy, and very comfortable. We chose Chengde Hotel for our stopover in Chengde on the way to Wulanbutong, and it was absolutely the right choice! I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Summer Resort. Its location is a major plus: it's very close to the main attractions and just about a 10-minute walk to the night market. Being in the city center, shopping downstairs was incredibly convenient. I definitely suggest guests try the ”Chengde Banquet” on the 4th floor, which offers traditional, intangible cultural heritage dishes – it's both delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful. Upon check-out, they thoughtfully provided us with complimentary bottled water and tissues for our onward journey. The complimentary almond tea from the hotel was delightful, and bottled water was readily available in the elevator lobbies, so you could grab one whenever you liked. All these small details really showcased their excellent service. The breakfast spread was extensive and diverse. Overall, it was a truly wonderful stay."

"Our first visit to Chengde left us with a truly wonderful impression, starting with the warm welcome at the hotel's front desk. Though the hotel entrance isn't grand, the service provided by the two young ladies at the front desk was absolutely five-star caliber. They patiently explained potential itineraries and offered incredibly thoughtful service. The front desk even upgraded our two rooms and thoughtfully arranged for us to stay right next door to each other. While the rooms aren't spacious, they are fully equipped and very cozy. Housekeeping, in particular, was exceptional; even the remote controls had fresh protective film. The genuine warmth and thoughtfulness of the local people made us feel incredibly comfortable. Chengde truly lives up to its reputation as a welcoming city rich in history and culture. We'll definitely be back for another visit!"

"Environment: Close to the Chengde South Railway Station Square, with the high-speed rail station across the road, suitable for friends who want to catch a train. The building is very new and the equipment and facilities are basically complete. Service: Good service attitude. Breakfast is outsourced and is served in a restaurant in the square downstairs."

"The staff automatically upgraded our room. They allowed us for late check up till 4pm the next day which helped us a lot because our high speed train back to Beijing was at 6:40pm. The hotel is located at the back lane of the commercial street 二仙居。we can get taxi easily in front of the hotel. We stayed there during low peak season, we had good service in the hotel. We loved the free supper served at 9:30pm."
