I have previously given Roomzzz five star reviews, but this time the experience was considerably below the standards I have learnt to expect. Although of course the location is still excellent, and the general ambience is good, several specific issues were less than impressive. First, and most importantly, there were periods of a loud humming noise from the A/C that repeatedly woke us up throughout the night. It is particularly disappointing because several previous reviews have specifically complained about noisy A/C, yet, Roomzzz does not seem to fix the problem but continue to rent these rooms out. We had booked and pre-paid for three nights, but decided to leave after two, as we could not get any sleep anyway. Second, the room was not prepared for new guests; the room was uncomfortably hot and stuffy on arrival, which necessitated the use of the A/C unit, and the fridge-freezer was in urgent need of defrosting; the fridge-freezer was so full of ice that the freezer door could not be properly closed and the shelves of the fridge were wet with water. It is also a bit disappointing that there is no room service during a three-night stay, to refill toilet paper, soap and shampoo. At least, these should have been filled up before guests move in, but they were not. The complimentary breakfast coffee and croissants are nice, but it is a shame that they have discontinued their offering of fresh fruit, juices, yoghurts and the other freshly baked pastries that they used to offer. Sorry, not good enough on this occasion.
