I was lured in with the beautiful pictures they have posted in make my trip and Instagram! But, DO NOT fall for it!!! It’s one of the worst ever places you can stay at! Listed below are the bad experiences I faced during my stay here (with picture evidences for some) - [ ] Smelly rooms - [ ] Unclean rooms with dust all over - [ ] Stained and dusty carpets (not vacuumed) - [ ] Dirty unwashed footrests for washroom and main entrance - [ ] Gaps in the wooden wall—any tiny insects and small snakes can easily enter the room - [ ] Dirty and smelly napkins and towels - [ ] Drinking water in old unclean glass bottles - [ ] Stained and torn bed sheets and pillow covers - [ ] Broken curtain rods that fall over your head when trying to close the curtains (happened to my husband) - [ ] Unhygienic kitchen with cats roaming freely inside and maybe even tasting some of your food before you do as they don’t keep the food covered with a lid (happened to my baby’s food) - [ ] Horrible food quality and taste Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve faced! And since their payment system was non-refundable, I couldn’t even go to another place as I’d already paid and it was 13k plus for two horrible rooms!!!

The stay was absolutely gorgeous. It has a great view of the devarmane peak and has a pond within the property providing kayaking and boating experiences. You can simply relax within the property taking small walks around or the stream that's close by. To top it off, the food provided here is absolutely delicious and homely. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting chikmagalur.

The Chinnahadlu Resort is one of the best resorts/stays in Sakleshpura. Everything about the resort is excellent, the location in particular is the show stopper. The rooms are modern and huge. The best part is the glass wall and the view from it. I completely fell in love with the way the room is designed. Waking up to the view of Jenkal and Deepadakallu is an eye candy. Birds chirping all the time made the stay more surreal. The staff is very friendly, polite and always has a smile on their face. Adish, Kiran and Anup were very accommodating. The food is delicious, order anything!  During our 2 night stay we had cream of Palak Soup, Coriander Kaju Rice, Jeera Rice, Paneer Tikka, Gobi Manchurian, Phulka, Aloo Peas Gravy, Paneer Butter Masala, Veg Club Sandwich and a couple of lemon sodas. Each and every dish tasted extremely good. The breakfast consisted of South Indian one day, Vada, Dosa, Chutney, Sagu, fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, Kara Bath, Lemon Rice and coffee/tea. North indian the other day, Fresh fruit, Fresh fruit juice, Aloo Paratha, Puliogre, Puri and Chole Masala and coffee/tea. A+ for breakfast served hot and is mouth watering. The whole resort is maintained neat and clean. The pool is built at the edge, overlooking forest and mountains. A few friendly dogs bring a smile as soon as you arrive from your long journey.   The resort is on a hill and hence you have a panoramic view wherever you look. I would request the management to have a sliding door or a shower curtain in the bathroom, it's a mess right after a shower.

HIDDEN GEM IN COFFE PLANTATIONS We stayed at Sliver sky resort for new year eve from 31st dec to 3rd Jan. We stumbled upon Silver sky by chance, we had a wonderful stay, new year eve gala was well organized and fun filled, we even won lucky draw ( prize was free one nights stay for couple ) The resort is just 11 months old, very well maintained, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, and quality of furniture and amenities ware of top class, comparable to top resorts we visited in Maldives. The resort is amidst the coffee plantation with beautiful view of mullayanagiri peak( 45 min drive form resort ) from room balcony, you can spend whole day in balcony with a book in hand, resort is 20 min from chiakkamagalur city with good road accessibility. The pool was kept clean, couldn't use it much because of cold weather, but the play room kept us busy after breakfast and dinner. Food was great Chef Ashok was of grest help in getting the food tailored to the palates my European wife and kids and restaurant staff Eshwar, shivanand service was top class. the front office staff Mani and Pratap ware always ready to help us. We got a chance to meet the owner and managing director , she was a very nice lady, with preference for good service rather than money, rare to see in these days. We loved the place so much we extended our stay for one more day, we left the place with good memories hoping to return to Silver sky again in the near future. Pros : Easy accessibility, well maintained, spacious rooms, good service and tasty food Cons : Nothing i can think of , may be a heated pool ( May not be practical for south indian weather ) Room advise - Choose a higher elevation room for good views.

This hotel boasts an exceptional location with stunning views and adequate parking. The road leading to the location can get foggy and there are no atms for a large radius. Cellular range also hard to receive, so offline maps will be helpful. Service is somewhat passable, and a reliable gas water heater is available, though heat consistency varies. However, the negatives include subpar food but functional, extremely poor acoustics where noise from neighboring rooms can be disruptive leading to sleep disturbances, shared balconies without window grills raise security concerns, weak wifi with slow speed. Overall much below-par experience for a supposed 3-star property (as listed, it's more of a one-star experience.
