Excellent location to explore Christchurch attractions. Very clean and well appointed room for an excellent price (I was wondering what It may be getting into). The room quality was a 3+ star for US standards. The only negative is the lack of parking (only offstreet parking or may have to drive a block away for parking). The clean room, friendly staff and excellent location and the overall niceness of Christchurch and it's people in general made us quickly get over the initial stress of trying to find a place to park. This little hotel is very modern and a nice place. We booked a private double room. The only complaint I can think of is that at 9 o'clock in the morning, when we were still trying to sleep in, the cleaners came in to clean the room! It would be nice to have a Do Not Disturb sign or have a cleaner knock on the door before entering. The location of the hotel is great, only a 5-minute walk from Memorial Bridge and restart mall. When you truly understand this city and then visit it, you will find how strong the emotional color of the whole city is. This hotel is perfect as a base.

Accomodation is in a great location. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Second time staying, last visit was 5 years ago. This time we stayed with our 2 young children. Advertised as having ‘air-conditioning’ which one would assume was heating. There was nothing like an air-conditioning unit in our 2 bedroom apartment. A small fan heater plugged into the wall was all. Not ideal with small children. Dangerous and also our apartment was freezing - especially being June. Thankfully beds were warm and comfortable and an extra blanket was provided for both bedrooms. Door to bedroom 2 was locked with a key from the outside. Which meant we had to call reception after one of us shut the bedroom door and couldn’t get back in. Staff attended immediately which was great, they were able to unlock the door however door knob was jammed which meant you could not shut the bedroom door or you would be locked in or out again. Had to place a bag at the door to ensure it wouldn’t be shut. Otherwise it’s a convenient place to stay. If you care about aesthetics it’s a little dated and bathroom grout is a bit mouldy.

Had a great experience at Rosewood Court Motel for 4 nights. The place was cleaned every day to a high standard and very warm. The shower pressure was amazing. A very comfy wee unit that also supplied a lot of cooking utensils and items which is unlike a lot of motels these days. The service was amazing, the host is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend to anyone and will be staying here again.

The hotel is centrally located in Christchurch, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel were commendable. However, the rooms are not very spacious, which was a bit of a letdown. Additionally, the curtains appeared to have not been cleaned for a long time, which negatively impacted my experience. Despite these issues, the prime location and cleanliness of the hotel made for a reasonable stay.

Great location and cost effective accommodation. The rooms are small but the layout is very efficient; not a room you would want to spent hours working. The rooms are very clean and the bed really comfortable

Everything about Lylo Christchurch has been good except there is no storage room to keep your luggage, however locker is there to rent with $2 per hour. Room is really clean and neat, comfy, everything just perfect (except the walking distance to airport need around 15 mins and is pretty straightforward right from behind the hostel) . Overall all has been a good experience, thanks Lylo!

It's my last stop before I fly back home for good after a 2 weeks holiday in NZ. It's a total disaster experience as the lady restaurant manager (working on 23 May 2023, 9pm), was plain rude when I approached her politely wanting to ask her whether the restaurant was still operating since it was late already. She was then holding a tray of empty cups, gave me a stare, and whispered an insincere 'sorry' with a frustrated facial and dashed right past me. Mind you, there was only 1 table of 2 guests in the entire restaurant. Not wanting to spoil our mood further, I have decided to walk away calmly, be the bigger self, and head to the bar instead. Honestly, it was totally not the busiest day since it's a Tuesday evening, the bartender was so impatient in trying to wait for us to make our orders (we are only ordering 2 drinks my dear), he wasn't helpful in trying to provide alternative (since one of the drinks we wanted is OOS) or wait for JUST another minute for us to look through the short food menu quickly to decide what food we wanted to add on to our order. He quickly decided to push us to the restaurant if we wanted food. Hello? If we were ordering drinks at the bar, why would we want to order bar food to eat at the restaurant? Perhaps we aren't looking too groomed to garner his prestigious service that's why he was pushing us away? My goodness... this is the worst ever experience I had in my entire stay here. Every other accommodation service staff we have met was friendly, polite, and treats us with loving respect. I honestly do not expect a reputable hotel to have such horrible service.

The location was good. There are marts and shopping facilities nearby, plenty of parking spaces, and light cleaning. It was nice to have a kitchen where you can cook lightly, a separate toilet, and hot water.

The hotel was booked in advance, but something happened in the middle. The customer service was very nice and responsible, and it was properly resolved. I live relatively close to the lake. It's clean and sanitary. I can cook. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.
