Harbour Hotel & Spa Christchurch

We had a 3 day stay at the Harbour Hotel in Christchurch. We ate dinner there twice - once at "The Upper Deck" and once at "The Jetty". Both meals were excellent: we had lovely tables, the food was great and the service made us feel special. The experience at breakfast was the same, with attentive service from all the staff and great food served on the open veranda. Although we were using the hotel as a base for our walks around the area, we also used the spa which was well maintained and had all the facilities you could want. We did have an issue with our assigned room which was not as ordered from Trip.com. Although the reception team reconfirmed they had allocated the room accurately based on what Trip.com had ordered for us, the Cherry the reception manager took it on herself to compensate us for the mismatch. From start to finish the service at The Harbour was outstanding. All the staff that served us in reception, the bar, the restaurants and the spa were helpful, efficient and friendly. Although our room was smaller than we'd ordered, it was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. All in all, this was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in, this in no small part due to the professionalism and caring attitude of the staff team. We will return !

Great location overlooking the harbour with an easy walk to the quayside and beaches. We were worried the "cosy" room would be too small but it was fine. This was a repeated visit and we will go again. Good service, super harbour side restaurant and relaxing spa. Plenty to do nearby - seaside,highcliff castle (photo) and historic town

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. The rear terrace on a warm summer evening provides a view to die for. The hotel is clean, staff friendly, and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. Rafa the breakfast Maitre d' was exemplary, a real gentleman, immaculately presented and very professional. Drinks are a little expensive and parking a bit of a lottery but in no way detracts from a great experience. We will be back!

My wife and I were recently discussing a trip to the Mudeford area and after reviewing hotels and options elected for a three night stay at The Harbour Hotel, Christchurch. We were not disappointed. We had reserved a table in The Jetty restaurant for the 1st night and the other two nights we elected for The Upper Deck restaurant. I would recommend if you are staying there to make a restaurant booking in advance as, due to their popularity they can be very busy. The staff were all excellent and efficient without being overly solicitous. The meals were very good and the Wine we had at the Jetty - a Chilean Merlot - was found to be excellent. The Room (A Harbour View) was well furnished and there was plenty of space in the bathroom to put ones toiletries. Within the room were Robes and Slippers, but also complimentary Gin with Tonic Water and an Ice Bucket. We were advised that at or around 17.00hrs Room Service will call and provide you with Ice for the Bucket and if you want any more Milk, Tea/Coffee that can be provided. The Room Service arrived just after 17.00hrs and the Service was as described. The Upper Deck is where Continental Breakfast is served and the offerings were excellent. We were advised that if we wanted a Cooked Breakfast there would be an additional charge of £10 per person. The Hotel has an indoor pool and Spa and we used the Pool which was most welcome. Mudeford Quay is a short 10Minute walk away, and Christchurch is a short Bus Ride 15minutes from the Hotel. The Bus frequency is Hourly and Christchurch with its Priory is well worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and noted that the Harbour Hotel Group have many other locations within the South & South-West of England. If they are all of the standard that we experienced at this hotel then they are well worth using for your vacation.

Very nice garden with a sea view. Nice to relax and have a drink whilst enjoying the views. Excellent service and comfortable rooms. We loved our stay and I will definitely book again.

Room was very disappointing for what we paid, I expected the room to be situated in a nicer spot and not off the car park. We couldn’t open our blinds otherwise we would have been seen by everyone and there was a massive stain on the carpet. The room was tired and needed an overhaul. If you’re looking for luxury then I wouldn’t recommend staying here it was very overpriced.

The Christchurch Harbour Hotel is a lovely peaceful hotel set on the waters edge with views over to Mudeford Quay and the Mudeford Sandbank beach huts. The rooms are clean and modern the staff are all polite and friendly. There are two restaurants on site the Upper Deck and the Jetty. The hotel has a spa on site offering treatments plus there is a small swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna as well as a Gym. The peace and ambiance at this hotel has made us return visitors for the third time and we will inevitably return to stay here again in the near future. Well done to all the staff at the Harbour Hotel Christchurch for the wonderful experience they offer to their guests.

Had a lovely evening meal at the upper deck restaurant. Brilliant views, excellent service (thank you Tony), the scallops were the star of the show. Menu leaves us wanting to come back for more. Couldn't fault anything. Well done Christchurch Harbour Hotel!

We had our wedding at the Harbour Hotel Christchurch on 29th July 2024. The location was absolutely beautiful and the team was beyond helpful in organising everything and making our day special. Sher, our event organiser, helped make the day special and continued to do so throughout the evening. She was there for everything we needed and helped everything run smoothly. The food at the venue was amazing and everyone raved about it, particularly our sticky toffee pudding. We stayed in the bridal suite for the night and it was luxurious and had beautiful views. The hotel was in a fantastic location for us and the pictures we had taken on the water were amazing. We look forward to returning to the hotel for our wedding anniversary in 2025!
