"Booking online with Trip was simple. The Dorsett have clean rooms and staff are lovely, plus it's attached to the Gold Coast Casino. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is equipped for people with disabilities or use a wheelchair. This includes self opening and closing doors, shower and toilet set up with aids that can be pulled out to accommodate needs and there are wheelchair touch buttons for opening the door. I showered before going out and it flooded the bathroom, luckily there were 2 infloor drains. Within 2 mins or asking for maintenance they had a lovely young man up to fix it, then another minute later housekeeping arrived with fresh towels. The maintenance man also gave me a good rundown and recommendations on the restaurant's at the Casino. 2 negatives - 1st, it is hard to work out where to park as you use the Casino parking, the carpark directs you where to go but there is no clear signage on where the hotel lifts are. I only knew this from a past visit over 2yrs ago. This is something that needs sorting out. 2nd, the entrance address for the hotel foyer is actually on the Casino entry side, so you drive around looking for it. I now know that instead of turning off onto The Darling Ave, as gps instructed, you take the slip road before The Darling Ave exit. This takes you past the residential tower and to the front of the hotel"

"Lots of fun and the buffet was very exquisite and very diverse and in taste. The room was very nice and the kids loved the curtains. The interior was definitely something to rember (the dome)"

"Check in was pleasant. Offered a glass of champagne while waiting to be checked in and front desk was accommodating. Room was clean and spacious with a little balcony which had a nice view of the beach. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Only let down was the lifts. Only basing it on my experience but it seemed like you had to wait a while and sometimes when a lift did stop it was packed so you had to wait for the next one hoping that would have enough room. But other than that I would stay again as everything you needed was either at the hotel or all around you."

"The hotel was very good. The room had a small kitchen and it was great. I think the hotel service is good. Good transportation."

"The actual place once we got settled was pretty good. The only issue that we really had was that the kitchenette was not clean enough. There were little tiny bug/ants that came out onto the counters every morning, or whenever we’d leave the counter unattended for a while. The utensils in the kitchen weren’t cleaned properly and we had to use boiling water to clean everything before using them. When we arrived we had to wait for the room to be finished, which we didn’t mind at all it was only a 10 min wait, but they had sprayed this air refresher so much that when we went inside we couldn’t get the smell out for an hour or two even w the balcony door open and the fans running. Other than that the bed, air conditioning, TV and rest of the amenities were good. The location was just perfect and super close to the beach. And the staff were very friendly."

"The view is great and the place is clean, but the luggage trolley is nowhere to be found. The reserved garbage bags in the room are not enough. Because it is Christmas time, no service staff can be found."
