"This was my second stay. I was particularly impressed by the coffee machine in the lobby and the simple breakfast offered daily. The complimentary airport shuttle also made my overall travel arrangements very convenient. The rooms were clean, and the staff were very friendly. If you're comfortable using the local public transport, you'll find a bus stop within a 3 to 5-minute walk. I forgot to take photos during this second visit, but I easily used the bus to get to Mississauga city center and even Toronto's Union Station, which was incredibly convenient."
"The airport shuttle pick-up was quite smooth. I didn't even need to call the hotel, although I did wait about 20 minutes at the designated spot. I asked numerous shuttle drivers from different hotels because some shuttles came really frequently; I saw the DoubleTree Hilton shuttle and two other hotel shuttles at least twice each. It wasn't until the last driver kindly pointed out that the hotel name would be on the side of the vehicle that I realized. Everyone was helpful, though, and each driver carefully looked at the hotel business card I handed them. Check-in at the front desk was also reasonably quick. The room was standard, nothing special, but the air conditioning blew incredibly strong hot air. The gym on the first floor is 24/7, a bit small, but convenient enough for a quick run. As usual, there were no slippers or toothbrushes in the room. After half a month of traveling in Canada and staying at several hotels, I've grown accustomed to this."
"We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is pretty nice, clean and the design is very good. The common space is quite cozy and good to hang out with friends or work (from anywhere).
All staff are very welcoming, friendly, and polite. We booked the room with breakfast included. The breakfast has an entree with a drink. The taste of the breakfast is quite good. The public parking is quite close, but the exit of the parking is on the other side of the road.
The only downside of this stay is there were a bit loud noise in both mornings from the street, sounds like from the car/truck loadings (I'm not sure). The sound started from around 6.30am ish, which is a bit too early for us.
Anw, overall we are pretty happy staying at The Union Hotel. "
"Hi there whoever is reading this comment please tighten your seatbelt because there’s a lot to know. First of all if you need something and you try to call the front desk or any other service , nobody will answer even if u try 1000 times. The coffee maker was not working in my room so I requested a lady who was cleaning the next room to kindly come and check and trust me I did this thrice but no one showed up. Horrible. Secondly their breakfast sucks… especially if you’re Indian. I wish I could have taken the pictures of the fruits which was not sliced and kept as a whole who does that? No good tea and coffee ,no items of chicken except sausages, nothing is good and it costed 25$ each for a bf buffet. Not worthy at all. Thirdly their hygiene, I wish I could have taken the picture of the plates and bowls kept there for breakfast. For a moment I thought it’s a used one but no. They were dirty and not washed properly. Last but not the least anyone who is booking this hotel ( especially an Indian) don’t waste your 25$ for breakfast instead go to a nearby Indian restaurant. There you will get good food. I regret so much staying here. This was our first time and it was a waste. We really expected a good time as it’s a big name but unfortunately it’s all just not worth it."
"It was a great place to stay, we were looking for something cheap for the night, and it was more than serviceable. It seems like the best place to stay at this price point. Will definitely check it out again."
"The location is excellent, right in the city center, and City Hall is just a 15-minute walk away. Breakfast was voucher-based, and since it involved table service, I tipped on every occasion. However, the room was quite small. The only small table in the room was completely taken up by the coffee machine, cups, and other amenities. I'd reluctantly recommend it."
"Upon entering the room, I was greeted by a personalized welcome message on the TV, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. The room was quiet, and breakfast was available for an extended period. Plus, having 24-hour coffee and hot water downstairs was a great convenience. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip."
"On arrival a lovely clean looking foyer. Found the initial lady behind the desk quite abrupt and not very friendly. The room was the right size for us. It was not the cleanest of rooms with dust and dirt in places. Also the vent leaked water all over my belongings. We did have an issue with the toilet not flushing but someone did come very quickly to fix it.
The breakfast was very good and the evening reception was a nice touch, although pretty busy each night and hard at times to get served. The regular airport shuttle bus was very good and prompt."

Great
GGuest UserWe stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and all is good. It was a lovely surprise as it was a last minute booking after our Airbnb (paid) reservation became unresponsive. We are very glad we found this Suites. We particularly like the sitting room where we could sit down for a rest and watch TV, have a takeaway for dinner. The microwave comes in very handy (although we love to have a basic kitchen!) .
Location: about 5 mins walk from the Queen station, there is actually an exit right in front of the hotel but you need to know how to navigate underground. It would be handy if it rains. It's 7 mins walk to the Eaton Centre where there are urban eateries, and you can take a tram to Chinatown. About 20 mins walk to CN tower and the harbour front, although you may want to just catch the subway. There is a 24-h supermarket across the road.
Service: really friendly hotel staff check in and out, one of the housekeeping lady is also very friendly. No fault at all.
The room is quite modern, spacious and new. If I had to find something to say, I would prefer to have the duvet put inside a cover rather than sandwiched between two bedsheets (which seemed to be the norm in Canada?), but I'm not fuss about it.
All in all, we will definitely come back again.
GGuest UserThe hotel is ideally situated of the front of the lake with the ferries to the islands just outside. An underground stop is just across the road with links to Union station and elsewhere. There are also a selection of buses that pass and a hop on hop off stop is about 10 mins walk. You can walk most places in central Toronto from hotel if you wish and are happy walking. You can choose which street suits you best on your walk and change route for variation as only a block apart and will all get you to central Toronto. You are maybe about 15 mins from the Blue Jays and CN tower so hotel is in a great location. Billy Bishop airport is about a 20 min walk and would be convenient if you can get flights to or from there to your destination. The communal areas in the hotel look very nice, as is the entrance if being dropped off by car. However there is work going on around the outside of the hotel and if walking to and from the hotel it isn’t so pleasant on the eye. My bedroom was spacious but felt dated and would be nice to see a more updated look. However the view onto the lake more than made up for that minor irritation. The staff were all great and helpful when asked. There was various things going on from regular activities in the leisure area to free ice cream and wine ( not together unfortunately ) and music in the afternoon. The leisure facilities were great with a pool, sauna, steam room and gym as well as an outside area (5th floor) for sitting outside while the kids could play. There was a tennis court and a basket ball hoop. There was also an oppertunity to use cycles and go for a run possibly with a guide. We didn’t eat at the hotel so couldn’t comment but the did have a restaurant on the top of there south tower that would give great views. We did grab a coffee and snack from across the street and would enjoy sitting on the benches just along from the hotel looking into the lake in the morning. All in all one of the older hotels ( I think) in a great location with great views and facilities which met our needs.
NNgMoonI was initially apprehensive about staying in an ”old” hotel, but my worries came to rest. It was similar to a cottage theme with very clean rooms and adequate amentities. Staff were always very friendly, greeting us everytime we leave and return to the hotel, and responds promptly to our housekeeping requests. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is a park with a calming stream, a great place to rest and rewind from the busy city life. Nearest train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and a 30-45 minutes car ride to downtown. Some downsides though, there are no nearby restaurants besides the one in the hotel, and no nearby supermarkets. Utensils were not provided in the room so be prepared to bring your own set. Hotel lifts seem a bit worn out but had not broken down during my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay given the calm surrounding vibes and amazing service. I would consider returning in the future

MM2d8j58kc****The host was incredibly friendly, and the house was spotless. The kitchen was fully equipped, and they thoughtfully provided us with fruit, instant noodles, and bottled water.
The bathroom in the basement room showed a bit of age, but it wasn't a major issue. Also, the laundry room ceiling is a bit low, so taller guests should be mindful.
However, the host was truly amazing and responded to messages almost instantly.
GGuest UserThe hotel lacks dedicated areas for dining, and to sit down and enjoy a meal. The bed and breakfast deal would have meant eating from and/or in an adjoining small coffee shop - so no nice breakfast buffets or very limited breakfast menu. The website pics of vaults look amazing online, but in reality the vault was cluttered as a storage room. The room (3210) was tired, cracked tiles in the bathroom, dirty windows, very basic crockery (2 plates/bowls) and cutlery (2 of each - knife/fork/spoon) - made the kitchenette hard to make the full use of. The in-room coffee machine was dirty, so didn’t use. The room is basic and bathroom old fashioned with old white shower curtain, dirty brown/cream stone tiles with ingrained dirt. The advertising online shows the hotel as a contemporary interesting old bank/vault which was why we booked - in reality it’s old and tired in most places - including the lifts which are scratched old dark wood. The ‘spa’ or gym is limited. On a plus note, the hotel was a great location to see Toronto. Would we stay there again… I’m sorry to say… no.

MMin1991Maybe because we checked in late, they upgraded our room for free!
Slippers, pajamas, and water were provided for the first time.
There was also a 24-hour supermarket right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient.
TTonyJ11Great hotel, wife arrived first and had a small hiccup since I added her name as a guest but did not show up on the hotel system. Anyway it got cleared up and we were upgraded to a penthouse suite! The breakfast was really good and had a good selection of food.
GGuest UserThe reception was very helpful to wait for my check in even I could come to the hotel in the mid night. She can also provide helping hand for allowing me to leave the luggage there for a couple of hours after checked out.
DDoubleRainbow_TravelGuideThe staff were able to serve my late night check in. They provided a free upgrade!
The room was big enough with a private bath.
AC was on during the summer, though there were no controls.
The room was not equipped with many kitchen basics.
Iin illThe location of the facility was very good.
It was too hard to get the key to check in and park, and the explanation was not sufficient.
It was not easy to return the key when checking out.
