GGuest UserOur stay at Shanhai Premium Guesthouse was an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating experience! The mountain surroundings were absolutely breathtaking, with fresh crisp air that immediately washed away all our city stress. The room was cozy and well-designed, featuring traditional Chinese elements blended with modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was perfect for exploring the Wuling Mountain area, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the misty mountain views every morning. The hiking trails nearby were well-maintained and offered stunning views of the landscape. Although it was a bit remote, that was exactly what we were looking for - a true escape from urban life. The local breakfast was delicious and featured fresh, organic ingredients from the area. We particularly enjoyed the evening stargazing, as the night sky was crystal clear away from city lights. This place is absolutely perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone looking to reconnect with nature. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem to all our friends and family, and we plan to return again in the different seasons to experience the changing beauty of the mountains. GGuest UserLove their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles.
The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather.
The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing.
Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!

MMeiyouruguo1992This was my second stay at the hotel. Wulingshan Aranya has added a lighthouse park and a mountain-view restaurant, making it great for families with kids. Right behind the hotel, there's another restaurant and a grassy play area. For breakfast, you can choose from different options. We stayed two nights, so we tried Xiaoye's Japanese breakfast once and Shiwei Shangu's Chinese breakfast once, both of which were quite good. The complimentary public hot spring was also a nice touch, and it wasn't crowded, so the experience was pleasant. My only minor complaints are that the hotel's shuttle service is infrequent, leading to long waits during peak hours, and the staff's attitude wasn't as warm as during my previous visit. Also, we had to specifically ask for the raindrop cake and matcha experience, which wasn't offered as enthusiastically as before.

1. There are various sightseeing cars, carriages, camel riding, horse riding, and lakeside trains available in the Colorful Forest Scenic Area. If you are tired, take a car, and if you are not tired, hike. If you are hiking, the wooden plank road is also gentle, with basically no steep slopes, which is suitable for traveling with the elderly and children.
2. The scenic area costs 7 yuan for grilled sausages, 10 yuan for ice cream (a large cup), and 15 yuan for carrots for feeding deer (a large bag), which are friendly prices.
3. The scenic area is picturesque, and it is very filmy to take photos and check in. There are also various performances, which are very beautiful.
4. The service at the Squirrel Inn is very good. We arrived late and did not check in in time. At 7:30 in the evening, the front desk called to remind us that the bonfire party would start soon.
5. The bonfire party was so high, and there was a fireworks show. The scenic area was attentive.
Disadvantages: Can a shelf be added to the bathroom and washroom? It is too inconvenient.
Except for the bathroom, other aspects are perfect, a perfect parent-child trip. Come again next time.

🇬🇧We stayed here for three days and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was very warm and homely, which made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay.
The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. They were always willing to help with any requests and made us feel well taken care of.
Our room was the smallest one available, but it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The property itself is quite spacious, with two lovely courtyards where guests can relax. Barbecue facilities are provided, and there are plenty of tables and chairs, making it a great place to spend time with family or friends.
The swimming pool was a bit too cold for our liking, but that was not a big issue 😊
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to others.

Хозяева очень доброжелательные и гостеприимные. Они всегда готовы помочь и откликаются на любые просьбы.
Наш номер был самым маленьким, но при этом очень уютным, чистым и комфортным. Территория большая и ухоженная, есть два дворика для отдыха. Гостям предоставляют всё необходимое для барбекю, а также много столиков и стульев, где можно приятно провести время с семьей или друзьями.
Бассейн для нас оказался немного холодноватым, но это совсем не испортило впечатление от отдыха 😊
В целом мы прекрасно провели время и с удовольствием рекомендуем это место другим гостям.

GGuest UserWe were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section.
This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport).
The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

The facilities are complete, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and the breakfast offers a rich and delicious variety. The staff are also incredibly warm and attentive. GGuest UserThe room is in line with the price, some simple but very clean. The boss and the waiter are very warm and the service is in place. The dishes are also delicious and the children like it very much. The only thing that makes people uncomfortable is that they didn't say that they would charge when they helped send the ticket gate. I heard the proprietress say that after breakfast, I helped send the ticket gate of the Great Wall. After climbing the Great Wall, I asked me to call again. They came to pick it up. If they didn't mention how much money, they defaulted to the free service. As a result, at checkout, each person was 10 yuan a way, and we received 80 yuan for a big and three small back and forth. If you tell us in advance that this is a fee service will be better, we can have our own choice whether to accept this service. I should also ask if it is free first.

GGuest UserLocation is unbeatable!! The hotel is right before the entrance gate to the Jinshanling Great Wall cable car station and trail heads. You can actually hike up to good view points on the Great Wall injust 30-40 minutes. The hotel is in good condition. The room is mostly clean and well maintained. The AC works well. Toilet has a weird smell but didn't bother me that much. Wish they provided conditioner (only shampoo and shower gel were in the bathroom). Restaurant has many options for Chinese dishes and so is the buffet breakfast. If I come back, definitely book it again for the excellent location.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! It's right across from Jinlong Plaza, which was super convenient for dining and shopping. Plus, it's very close to the Summer Resort. However, the room itself was definitely nothing special. The bathroom had a strong drain smell, and the room felt quite damp. On the bright side, the front desk service was excellent. During my 3-night stay, I managed to visit the Summer Resort, the museum, Mini Potala Palace, Hammer Peak, and Jinshanling Great Wall. Overall, despite the room issues, I had a very good experience.
