"We didn't have any issues with booking our flight, but unfortunately, the hotel experience was very disappointing. The assistant front desk manager who helped us when we arrived was quite rude. We ended up waiting in line for over two hours, with many other guests behind us. While waiting might not seem like a big deal, the assistant manager's unfriendly attitude made it feel much worse. It seemed like they didn’t know how to provide good customer service or communicate well. Overall, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had."

"Not enough large and quick lifts for this very large building and its huge amount of rooms. Hopefully I was on first floor so it's ok. Wifi is disconnecting every couple of minutes (in room 158) which is very annoying. Coffee machine at the lobby is poorly maintained, clean cups are not regularly refilled. The way from Berlinor Tor (U & S bahn Station) is under improvement works. That means a huge amount of stairs to get from the station to the hostel"

"Hotel is located in walking distance of Hamburg Hbf, which is very convenient! Small downside is, that there are quite some homeless people and ******* around these kind of areas. We observed a ****** who was checking out a stolen (?) bag for its content on two nights while we were walking back to the hotel. Another advantage is the proximity of a car rental, which even allows for the cars to park there over night, so that one does not need to book the hotel Garage for €20/night! (Enterprise autovermieting) Rooms were ok, on lower floors with aircon and window can be opened. Bf was fine, but there was not enough space for the huge amount of guests, so they opened some rooms next to the main bf room, partly without electricity, which means that we had bf in the dark 😊. Gym has no mats for Yoga or the like. Showercaps have to be requested. Executive lounge just good for fetching some extra drinks or small snacks, but nothing special. Staff extremely friendly!"

"The location was more than perfect, close to the train station and very close to the subway which you can go wherever you want. The hotel offers free cards for the bus and underground train but you have to be a member of the H-Rrwards club. Breakfast was ok . bed was comfortable but the air conditioning was not as expected not AC only fun and was a little bit hot . Facilities not so good not as stated in Trip home page .We need to ask the reciption for every thing . T.ex to get slipers as it was not in the room and there was no electric  kettle so we asked them to provide as but they stated we can provide only for medical reason don’t understand exactly what they mean .but we got one . any how also you have to ask the reception to get one bottle water and to clean your room .  Otherwise it was comfortable."

"a&o Hamburg Reeperbahn locate closely to the St. Pauli Pier, it is a hot spot for sea food and famous Fischbrotchen. It also close to the U-Boot Museum Hamburg in a short walking distance only. If you visit there at Sunday, don’t forget to visit the St. Pauli fischmarkt at 5am. You can enjoy fresh sea food at good cost."

"The hotel location is perfect, but the parking fee at the hotel is quite expensive, as it operate by other, APCOA. Public facilities are a bit aging e.g. swimming pool and gym, however, equipments are in good maintenance. The service are almost all okay, except the housekeeping part, who knock my door many times while I was packing my luggage, as it's nearly check-out time."

"One of my best stays in Germany. The room was spacious, very clean, and I especially loved the strong hair dryer. The bed was also very comfortable. The only downside: The hotel is about a 12–15 minute walk from the nearest train station, but the route is not pedestrian-friendly, especially if you’re carrying luggage. During my stay, there was road construction, and we had to drag our suitcases across uneven, rocky ground, which made the walk quite tough."

"You can’t beat the location for public transport convenience: Barmbek subway and S-Bahn as well as bus hub is directly beside the Intercity Hotel and its just four stops from Hamburg Airport. I liked the breakfast buffet very much, as it’s a typical German style breakfast: müsli and cereal choices as well as fresh vegetables and fruit and different kinds of grain bread, eggs, pancakes… Be aware that the rooms are very clean upon arrival however; you will need to order cleaning DURING your stay a day in advance. It’s free, of course, but as part of their environmentally conscious program they provide cleaning on demand during stays only. For me, that is a BIG PLUS as I try to travel green."

"The perfect location in Hamburg for your stay. An easy walk to the Alster, the museums and the shopping district, and the main railway station is a minute or two from here, as well as all the fantastic local cafes and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, although little to no English is spoken here, so brush up on your German before travelling. Breakfast is plentiful and first class, the rooms are comfortable with nice bathrooms and good beds. WiFi is excellent. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Hamburg."
