Spent one night and that was probably one night too many. The person who checked us in was polite as previous guests have stated but the hotel (if you want to call it that) is something in it current condition should be avoided. The problem with the area is that there are few hotels that are a). Available, b). reasonably priced for what you will get. We took a chance and did not expect much, but got even less. Problems. 1. Run down. The decor got stuck in the mid 80s. It just looks like my grandmothers attic. 2. Dark stairwell which you will have to haul your stuff up at least two or three flights of stairs. 3. Had no warm water for a morning shower 4. Breakfast is Spartan (dry brotchen, a plate of salami and ham, some cheese, strong coffee and juice. We made due but probably one of the least sumptuous breakfast we have had in a while 5. There is construction going on in the establishment and it starts around 7:30am / 8:00 am. 6. Bedroom furniture had kid stickers on it. Like it was purchased in an estate sale and they did not bother to take the kids who grew up in the bed stickers off 7. Hangers in the shrank were as if they got them from C&A and Kaufland or other department store off of some clothes they bought in 1982. 8. The towels were like sand paper. They had been lined dried but like for 10 years. Not something you would want to rub across your skin. 9. Walls were thin. The one good note is that the bed was comfortable. Honestly, I think the price point should have been half of what we paid. I wish the owner well, hope he fixes the things that need fixing. It has a great location but if I were to stay again, he would have to pay me.

A hotel with special charm. nice owner family. Excellent location on the market with some gastronomic facilities in the immediate vicinity.

Wir waren 5 Nächte in diesem Hotel un d waren sehr zufrieden. Das Komfortzimmer war sehr schön mit seitlichen Moselblick und trotz der dritten Etage gut gedämmt (Wärme) und sehr ruhig. Ohne zu fragen wurde uns wegen der hohen Außentemperaturen ein Turmlüfter auf das Zimmer gestellt 👍 Das Personal war sehr freundlich,immer ein Lächeln und ein freundliches Wort obwohl unterbesetzt. Tolles Essen jeden Tag und ganz besonders die Torten im Café sind sehr zu empfehlen. Wir danken allen Mitarbeitern das wir so schöne Tage dort verleben durften.

I choose Hotel Emmerich for a one-night stopover on a long solo road journey from the UK to Italy. A fairly random choice that happened to be close to the A61. Booking was straightforward, the price was very fair and they called me on the day to give me a key box code (due to late arrival). I got a parking slot right outside and let myself in. Nice room, simply furnished. Black-out shutters made for a good night's sleep. Good breakfast from 7 am and by 07:30 I was gone! I clearly missed a lot that the Moselle valley has to offer, but as a short stopover this was a clean, comfortable, hassle-free and very well priced option.

Zum Veranstaltungshighlight ”Rhein in Flammen” hatten wir bereits in 2023 mehrere Doppelzimmer reserviert. In freudiger Erwartung aufgrund der ansprechenden Informationen & Bilder der Website wurde die kleine Reisegruppe im Nebenhaus einquartiert. Leider weisen die Zimmer dort absolut keine Qualität auf. Wir haben ein Zimmer im Dachgeschoß bewohnt, welches auf den schnellen Blick ganz okay aussah. Aber eben nur auf den Schnellen. - Matratze(n) sehr weich, ausgelegen und mit einem langen Schlitz - Spannbettlaken ohne Gummizug, rollt sich sofort beim Hineinlegen von Matratze ab und in sich zusammen - Spinnweben und verdreckte Fensterbretter - Müll vom Vorgänger neben dem Waschbecken - Fehlende Gardinen, lediglich Verdunklungsvorhänge mit abgebrochenen Häkchen für die Gardinenschiene Am Anreiseabend (Freitag) wollten wir noch gern als Hotelgäste im Restaurant zu Abend essen. Da im Garten nicht ausreichend Tische mehr verfügbar waren, hat man uns widerwillig einen Tisch im Innenraum angeboten. Auf Nachfrage hinsichtlich Abendessen wurde uns seitens der Gastro-Mitarbeiterin, ohne vorherige Rücksprache mit dem Küchenteam, informiert, dass wir hier nicht mehr speisen können, da die Küche ausgelastet sei und keine Speisen mehr anbietet. Da war es 20:05Uhr und Küchenschluss war offiziell 21.00Uhr. Der Fairnesshalber sei an der Stelle gesagt, dass wir eine Vorschlagsliste mit alternativen Einkehroptionen überreicht bekommen haben. Dennoch kann man nur mit dem Kopf schütteln: welches Hotel kann sich einen Umsatz von 10 Personen entgehen lassen? Gastfreundschaft gleich Null. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Die Sauberkeit des Frühstücksraums leider nicht. Auch hier schmutzige Fensterbretter und Spinnweben unter den Gardinenleisten. Alles in allem war aushaltbar, mehr aber nicht. Schade für ein inhabergeführtes Haus. Die Mängel haben wir bei Check Out auch sachlich übermittelt. Als kleine Entschädigung wurde uns die Berechnung des Frühstücks erlassen. Eine nett gemeinte Geste, die wir angenommen haben. Wenn das Team ein wenig gründlicher dem Job nachgehen würde, wären Entschädigungen nicht nötig.

I booked the ”hostel” option at Das Ebertor since I wanted to stay along the Rhine and Boppard offers transit passes to visitors. The hostel is just a room with bunks, not a true hostel with amenities. There is no kitchen or social area (though the hotel has restaurants). The room was nice and had a bathroom attached. There was a view of the courtyard. Everything was clean. First night, there were 3 other travelers, 2 the second night and I had the room to myself on the last night. I skipped the paid breakfast and didn't try the various restaurants. It was too early in the year for the outdoor beer garden. The front desk staff seemed new and not entirely familiar with hotel amenities and the area but they did help me book a bicycle (you can store it overnight in the garage). It was great to be so near the train station. There is a supermarket on the other side of the station. You're right on the river and it's about a 10 minute walk to old town.

Landhaus vor Burg Eltz is a hotel and restaurant. It is located in Wierschem. The big plus, very dog ​​friendly. The owners have a dog themselves. Our 2 dogs were allowed on the terrace, in the restaurant and breakfast room and of course in the room. Big plus! Location The hotel is located on the edge of Wierschem. If you drive to the hotel via GPS, it may send you on a road that you are not allowed to take. You can also just take a detour, it is 2 km further. The hotel has its own parking spaces. And has a beautiful terrace outside. Environment. In the immediate vicinity, the biggest attraction is of course Burg Eltz. And of course you can take very nice walks there. From the hotel it is a 2 km walk to Burg Eltz. There is not much else to do in the town. Hotel. The rooms The hotel is a bit dated. You still get keys with a big club on them. At check-in you will receive a bottle of water. A lot of marble has been used inside. The rooms differ enormously. We had a reasonable double room. We had someone in a single room and it was clearly furnished a bit older. There is a bed in the room (with very thin/empty pillows). Smart TV (yes you can use Netflix / Viaplay etc with your own account). Furthermore, a table and coat rack. Bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Extractor turns on with the light and is very loud. Roller shutters on the windows. We had the window open and it was a bit chilly in the morning. Turn on the heating and wow, they heat up very quickly and very well! Apart from the somewhat dated decor, it is neat and ok. However, it is very noisy. Terrace / restaurant Upon arrival we had a drink on the terrace. Nice place to sit, also quite a lot of walkers. Enough choice of soft drinks (not Coca Cola and Fanta, but Africola), juices, beers and coffee and tea. It all seems pretty standard to me. The associated restaurant is also the Barception. The menu is fairly extensive. Lots of meat and game. Wild citizens, ordinary citizens. Fish. But also Vega burgers and vega pasta. We had the veggie burger with fries. Very good and enough! Breakfast Breakfast is a matter of taste and what you are used to. The things you expect are there. Sandwiches, some cold cuts and cheese. Jam and jars of chocolate spread. And of course coffee/tea/milk and some cornflakes/cruslie. You can order fried eggs or scrambled eggs and if you ask you can also get things like a hot chocolate or something else. But on the other hand, it's all a bit meager. Rolls and some slices of bread, but all the same. Coffee is filter coffee or a senseo. and honestly, the filter coffee is quite ok. No toaster and nothing like cheese spread, fish, etc. Just a basic but tasty breakfast. Service The host and hostess are very friendly and do not make a fuss about anything. Do you want to bring dogs into the dining room? Fine. Glass of wine and coffee for the room? fine. Everything seems possible and allowed. Check-in is advance
