"The hotel is a bit old, for example the plaster is coming off the ceiling on the terrace. The management needs to be changed, nobody feels responsible. The housekeeping was very good, tried very hard (I even gave them an extra tip). The staff in the terrace cafe were rather unwilling. Acceptable for business trips, but I wouldn't spend a vacation in this hotel. Regarding Algeria in general, I would like to say that the people are extremely hospitable and polite, the food (outside) in the restaurants (except for once) is very good and inexpensive, taxis are very cheap, they are just not luxury cars (reminds me of the early days in Dubai in the 90s). A tip for a day trip at the end: Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania, the restaurant next to the mausoleum has wonderful seafood from the charcoal grill."
