GGuest UserIt was good but not allowing food in the rooms was a strange thing, they had overpriced food.
The check-in process was strange, I showed them the confirmation in English from trip.com, but they took forever to find it, stating that they didn't list their hotel on trip.com

J’ai passé un excellent séjour à l’Hôtel Suisse à Alger. L’accueil a été remarquable dès mon arrivée, notamment grâce à la réceptionniste Célia, dont le professionnalisme et la gentillesse font toute la différence. Toujours souriante, attentive et disponible, elle a su répondre à toutes mes demandes avec efficacité et bienveillance. Grâce à elle, je me suis senti immédiatement à l’aise et parfaitement pris en charge. L’hôtel est confortable, propre et idéalement situé, mais c’est vraiment la qualité de l’accueil, en particulier celui de Célia, qui rend l’expérience exceptionnelle. Je recommande vivement cet établissement !

Although the toilet occasionally smells a bit, after all, it is a hotel with a history, but I still like it here very much. The only thing that is not perfect is the Chinese restaurant on the first floor. The Chinese food is delicious, and the Beijing soup is delicious. However, the steak and pasta we ordered did not have sauce. We asked the waiter to give us some sauce and took two This time it was very thin soup, I don't know what it is made of, anyway, it is completely different from what we ate before. The waiter may be unhappy, and told us to go to the kitchen to make it ourselves if we are not satisfied. This has reduced the restaurant a lot of points.

GGuest UserFriendly and helpful staff. However, it was a bit noisy for my taste. The pillows stank of sweat. The amenities have seen better days. The beds are very comfortable, the breakfast is exclusively sweet, and the internet is very good. However, I had a constant headache due to the 5G tower on the roof. 🤯
I had a pigeon nest on the toilet window, which woke me up every day at 4 a.m. They said they would move it somewhere else...but they didn't keep their promise. If you're sensitive to noise and radiation, you should look for another hotel. Otherwise, it was very good for the price.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located next to the sea, a ten-minute walk away. It is clean and hygienic, and the staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff are warm and polite. It was a pleasant business trip experience.

GGuest UserI loved Hotel Hydra. The purpose of my visit was to see my granddaughter and daughter in law.
The room was spacious and well appointed.
Only minor points could be improved- bath plug didn’t fit, light bulb out. I didn’t report this though. I felt safe and staff were gracious and kind.
If I visited Algiers again I would definitely stay there.
