This was my 3rd stay at the Riu Olivia Beach. Visited 18th September for a week. The hotel's location is the main reason I returned again. The weather was very hot. The actual hotel remains dated and is waiting for renovations to be approved although it does appear minor repairs are ongoing. My room (645) in the main building was a suite with separate bedroom and lounge and was clean. Towels replaced daily. No tea making facilities. Shower in bath. The rest of the hotel is clean. Food repetitive but always found something to eat. Self service Amstel lager, soft drinks etc. Staff friendly. Small shop onsite. Evening entertainment was ok. Bit of sun lounger reserving going on - the beach is an alternative venue with a few bars on it and loungers (paid for). I strolled along the beach to Corralejo a couple of times and less than an hour walk. Taxi back was 8 Euros. Outside the hotel on the main road is a bus stop and HiperDino supermarket. Taxi rank outside hotel. The lifts in the main building are worth a separate mention - 3 lifts and 1 didn't work. The other 2 were very slow, then when it did arrive usually already full of people, the doors sometimes start to close after a couple of seconds while you're still getting in and sometimes it didn't stop flush to the floor and you had to step up and out of the lift. They need servicing or something. This hotel is ideal if you want to be somewhere fairly quiet and in a fantastic location with sunny weather and you're not too fussed if everything isn't perfect. I hope to return for a 4th visit soon. Thank you all at the Riu Oliva Beach.

Reception were very accommodating to our requests prior to arrival. On arrival Cat checked us all In but also let us go Eat as we had just arrived and lunch was nearly finished. Food options- weren’t bad - I’m A fussy eater so I did eat more or less the same Thing every day…. But for those willing to try something there is always a great selection of Food. Pool Bar - tea, coffee, cold drinks all Available all day…. Food at pool Bar -pizza and hot dogs you pay for separately but there is sandwiches(you just need to ask As they are in the fridge) crisps, nuts and ice cream available all day. Crater Park on site was good fun for all Ages, no Issues getting sun-beds etc maybe not always ones with parasols but still No issues - Our villa felt like it as furthest away from the reception which wasn’t ideal with young kids and Mil with walking difficulties but it wasn’t the end of the world (10/15 min walk) ideally some Daisy bikes For hire for the week would Have been great! Or electric buggies of some sort- although again rec gave us a lift down with our bags and picked us up on the way back with them So again super helpful. When we did have issues we called rec and it was fixed straight away…. All The team were super friendly from bar staff, housekeeping, maintenance, gardeners etc etc (apart from one lady in restaurant who was snappy with us when we moved a table so all 9of us could Sit together - she said we weren’t allowed to do that even though we had done the last 6 days) just her attitude was a bit off there are nicer ways to be with guests. But a special shout out to Cat who was superb at her job - she remembered us(hopefully not for bad reasons haha) when we decided to get a private transfer for the way back to airport she sorted that out for us with no issues- feel like she went above and beyond for us and was always smiling. A credit to your team! Thank you again Cat for going that extra mile.

Excellent budget priced accommodation, 2 minute walk to El Campinario Centre. All the rooms have names, i stayed in ”Cofete” which had a separate private bathroom next door, with a good shower. A big choice of breakfast items available in a hostel style setting. Has a small swimming (dipping) pool too. If you struggle to fine this place, its easy once you know, turn up the street with a car barrier right next to the Sports Bar...walk to the top and its the very last building on the right.

Nice looking hotel was in the zensations building, premium junior suite, next to pool. Nice room, good size. Shame water not provided daily or water stations. Coffee was horrible. This was not replenished daily had to ask for milk, variety of tea bags limited. Cups too small. Had to order shower cap, bathroom amenities...ordered never arrived, did get extra pillows. TV good, brought firestick which earned great, had English channels as well. No ROOM SERVICE even though advertised on App and website. As rang to order was informed didn't do room service. Snacks aren't great same everyday. Ham burgers, hotdogs, onion rings, chips. Bit of salad. Top bar had a small selection of rolls some days, sandwiches hard and not pleasant. No umbrellas on tables, so beware even hot. Pools freezing cold... Food selection in evening was good and plentiful, loads of choice. Lunch was okay as well, not as good as evening. Breakfast had a good choice of cooked, cold and pastries. No choice of teas. Coffee from a machine. Drink quality was above average, wine was of a reasonable standard. Presseco was flat mist of the time. Lack of choice. Had 3 levels, normal all inclusive, silver then gold. We was silver but not much different from normal apart from giving access to rooftop bar. Most premium drinks carried an excess, ie aperol spritz would be 4 euros + on silver, slightly more on normal, slightly less on gold. Gold get to eat in a la carte restaurant, which isn't really a la carte as self service, except main dish is served to you. Had to book this could use once within 7 days. Didn't really use pools downstairs or see animation in day as was outside room or rooftop bar. Clean hotel, had animation in evening, had some decent acts. Room bit like Butlins. Lack of bars in evening, as only had entertainment bar and bar next to restaurant, and outside seating. Had entertainment here as well around 8ish, guitar or saxophone. Overall nice hotel, decent food, Lack of bar staff, not enough premium drinks. Probably worth 50% of what we paid for xmas. If normally around 600 would be good value for junior suite in zensations building. Fairly near to main town 20 min walk. Good bars, loads of shops, and restaurants great entertainment Square at end, bands on most evenings. Just round the corner is shops, bars and a centre with cafes, shops and entertainment whilst we was there at Xmas.

We are currently at this hotel and this is our third visit . This hotel is immaculate and food is lovely. we usually come all inclusive but were half board as we had a ptroblem with love holidas said we have booked half board I have shown proof with hotel but no joy so we have been on phone to love holiday and we've asked for a refund . So we are half board To be honest we are ok with half board as the food is very nice so we can eat as much breakfast and evening meals as you like . You are given a green band on your arm to show you are half board and to be identified by staff at bar and restaurant On arrival to this hotel we were recognised by the receptionist as this is our 3 rd visit on arrival to our room we were given a bottle of cava in a ice bucket which we thought was a lovely touch We were also given a lovely room 2207 over the quieter pool as the other poolis louder with music and a pool bar which is also nice In your rooms you have regular bottled water and tea .coffee. facilities topped up daily when they clean your room In reception on left hand side you have a soft drinks machine and water and tea coffee machine when passing through I get a coffee or a fizzy and no problem from staff Be were are half board we have been to shop and bought some small beers and some small bottled of wine and some cans of coke So at the pool through the day we have a few of our own drinks at pool but always put our rubbish in bin after as the pool area is very clean so we putting rubbish in the bins provided . Now this is were we have had a problem In breakfast restaurant I had a very rude member of staff slam the serving spoon used to pick your eggs up on the plate when I was getting my eggs and was rude to me which I thought I had done something wrong because is actions was strange and give me a funny look On this same morning at breakfast I awas getting a fizzy uice .a coffee and some warm milk to have with our breakfast .I was stopped because of my green band as shows half board and we can only have water and and you have to pay as we are not allowedr as we are not all inclusive We found some of the staff very rude you say hello and no reply . We take our empty plates over to trolley from our table to show our appreciation as it gets very busy .but you don't even get a thank you Evening meal first day On arrival I asked the staff member if my wife could have a small glass of wine with her meal . A small glass was given to our table and no problem and wasn't charged and I had a sprite lemonade And the food was lovely 2nd day I took 2 small bottles of wine to evening meal restaurant and small bag and got two wine classes and poured our own wine . We went to get food and come back and our wine was taken away by a staff member told us your not allowed to bring your own drink and was informed we are only allowed water and would after pay for the wine from resurant sbecsuse were half board so we left disgusied but

We stayed for two weeks 15th Dec. to 29th. Hotel very clean, pool areas are really well laid out and very pretty. Pool bar with lunch time snacks was very good. Our room overlooked the quiet pool. No problem with sunbeds etc. Life guard very helpful with umbrellas and beds. The food in general was ok but we found quite often that it was only luke warm so we would wait until we saw them put out fresh food and then go get our meals. Lots of bread variety etc. Entertainment was varied some good, some not so good. I found the furniture in the reception area to be very shabby and uncomfortable needs to be updated and made more inviting. The bar situation was also poor sometimes the bar in the entertainment area was closed so this meant you had to go upstairs for drinks not very safe for people to be going up and down stairs with glasses in their hands. Overall would not visit again as we found the layout of the hotel not very sociable. Very clean, good selection of food.
