The street where the hotel is located is not so elegant, but not bad, but the environment near the Arc de Triomphe is really terrible. The receptionist was a gentle black gentleman. He said that there was a room on the first floor. We gave a room with a balcony on the second floor under our request, but the room could not be opened to the balcony. This rule is very strange. I have not encountered this rule in other places in France. Fortunately, the room facilities are good.

Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. We stayed here for 2 weeks in August. Pros - the location is amazing - literally 14mins drive to Marseille. The car park is very spacious and free to use. The pool is very well maintained, clean and nice to use, pool towels provided from reception free of charge to use and return. The staff at breakfast are very friendly and the range is quite nice. Cons - it took 9 days from us reporting the fridge in our room not working for them bringing us one from a different room. The air conditioning barely works and the room was so warm! The staff on reception speak very limited English so often it is difficult to communicate if there are any issues. Although the breakfast provided is quite nice, it is poorly managed as things often run out (juice, bread, fruit) and either not topped up or often warm. The room we stayed in was clean but very old looking and not the typical Novotel style you would expect. The sink leaked our entire stay, often towels and toilet rolls were not replenished by the cleaning staff.

The biggest advantage is that the train station is very close. The train station is on a high ground. It is very difficult to pull boxes in the city, such as the old port. It is recommended that the subway taxi is closer. The whole Marseille has various heights and lows. ibis is mainly soundproofed. The sound of other neighbors closing the door is not loud outside the window. Breakfast is really good at this price hotel.

The hotel is old, but the overall cleanliness is fun, and the front desk brother is funny. The elevator is broken and cannot be used, and the spiral stairs are fascinating.

Our flight from the United States was cancelled just before boarding, which was after the cancellation window for this hotel closed. I e-mailed them, explained the situation, and they graciously allowed us to cancel our two night reservation with no charge. We couldn't stay at the hotel, but great service!

Very good breakfast, good service. The rooms sizes vary a lot for the same price. The hot water was an issue at first, but you have to let it run for 10 min and then it worked. We did not try the spa. The TV is on the small side.

The first time I stayed in the hotel, I felt like home, small enough, kind enough, and caring enough.
The hotel room does not have slippers, toothbrushes, kettles, only bath products. Hot water tea bags, coffee and biscuits are available in the lobby. Every time you come back from shopping, sit in the Nordic-style lobby and enjoy the cold wind, hot tea, and chat with the front desk. The family room I live in has one large bed and two small beds.
The breakfast is very simple, it ends at ten o'clock, and the food and drink are complete. If you wake up late, there is still bread to eat in the lobby. This is why it feels like home, because there are many times a day you have to stay here.
The hotel is close to the castellane station of Metro Line 1. I bought a three-day ticket for the trip. Metro and public transportation are common. All attractions can be reached by no more than two buses. I tried to walk to the old port on foot on the first day, which took less than half an hour. There are Korean restaurants and Carrefour supermarket downstairs. There are Chinese restaurants, seafood and pizza near the subway station. Very convenient.

This is a great hotel right on Vieux Port. As other people have highlighted, you go up a couple of flights of stairs to get to the reception which is staffed 24/7. A lift is available from reception to the upper 3 floors of the hotel. I didnt find the steps too bad. My room was facing the port and had great views out across the sea and Marseille. The room itself was spotlessly clean, spacious and had a modern and tranquil vibe. Despite it's location, it was quiet and zoned out the noise from the street. Staff are very helpful and friendly and you can leave your luggage no problem if you want to explore on the day you check out. A big shout out to Yvette for helping me with directions, transport information and luggage storage. I never ate breakfast but they provided free homemade fresh lemon tea which was really refreshing in the heat alongside other drinks. There is space around the reception area to sit and relax. If you want to go over to Chateux d'lf the ticket office and boat departs right opposite. Get up early and make sure you get a ticket first thing so you can board the 9.50am boat. As the day bulds up the ques build and its too hot to stand in a que... There is also a bus and metro stop opposite the hotel to get about. A ticket machine is on the street for tickets to both. Its around 3.80 for a return trip. The number 83 bus comes every 5 minutes and goes up the coast to the Corniche where all the beaches are. It's really easy to get and buses returning also come every 5 minutes. It's a beautiful journey and you'll get to see the lovely coast and the little places/villages enroute. You also get great coastal views and can see the Chateux d'lf quite well. Many beaches to choose from and Prophet beach was nice. The bus route and stops are highlighted inside on a screen by lights so you always know what the upcoming stop is. Also to the right of the hotel is where you head to explore the Panier area which is a maze of winding streets with a great atmosphere that leads down to the sea front, church and the Museum. A great hotel alround and would stay again.

The apartment hotel is mainly a kitchen with complete kitchen utensils, but it is inconvenient without a kettle. There are many supermarkets around, which is convenient for shopping.
The hotel is right next to the train station, not far from the scenic spots, and convenient to the surrounding cities, but the train station next to the street is quite noisy (the sound of the station announcement).
Overall cost-effective.

CChentingGreat recommendation! My friends said that next time I come to Marseille, I will stay at their home. It is close to the subway station. The key is to cook and cook. It simply burns the Chinese soul. The pots and pans are all available. The hotel has many free facilities. I like the welcome drink. This - kind of - does what it says on the tin. A decent room in a great location with breakfast places if you turn both left and right (and a Lidl just up the hill). Also Le44 next door is a nice eatery. The bathroom is, in theory, well thought out, roomy with enough either side of the basin to put vanity bags. But, the shower heads (I presume) have been changed and don't fit into the holders so you have to be creative with how you have a shower. There is no plug in the sink. The beds (2 singles) have mattresses that are larger than the bedstead, so if you put too much weight on the edge of the mattress, you are liable to topple out of the bed. We had room 107 and in the corridor outside there was a leak from the ceiling for the duration of our 3 night stay, the water was captured in a bucket, which was regularly changed but we could monitor the increased frequency of the dripping. The stairs up to first floor smelled old, uncleaned and a couple of items of litter remained in situ for the duration of our stay. This hotel could be so much more and needs an overhaul.

Bon hôtel bien situé sur Marseille avec un parking qui était cependant pleins quand nous y sommes allés, mais avons trouvés des places à proximités (non sans peine). Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de sèche cheveux à dispositions et qu’il faille aller les chercher à l’accueil. Personnel agréable, ménage fait tous les jours. Manque le chromecast sur la télé qui serait un vrai plus.

Hotel very well located right next to the Perrier metro exit and 10 minutes walk from the Orange Vélodrome stadium. Several restaurants are nearby. The welcome was perfect, the hotel is clean and quiet. We will come back during our next match or weekend in Marseille.

I had to book 2 night accomodation at short notice, this was a basic accomodation only.. There was no telephone between my room & reception in a large block of flats. The paper system at reception took a messge from my friends (my mobile phone had been stolen) but that messge never reached me, there was never a note on my door in the block of flats. The cooking pot was for 4 or 6 peopple, there needs ot be one at a size for just 1 or 2 people as it was a twin room. The bed(s) were board beds with a single mattress only on top. It was more suited to people with cars as there was parking & it was near the A50 route.. But I was on public transport & it took at least 30 minutes to get to the twon centre. To be fair,it was quiet & there was greenspace nearby. I would only book this place again if there was nowhere else to go.

GGuest UserRecently stayed here at 50Euro per night, The hotel is located a stone's throw away from Vieux-Port in a side street, hence giving you access to town centre, the metro. With a tiny and almost hidden entrance the hotel, its easy to miss. From the rooms you can hear the hustle and bustle even at night however I like this kind of sound and slept with the windows open. The staff were absolutely fantastic (thanks to the 2 gentlemen and 1 lady) and was manned 24 hours per day. The rooms itself are small and quite basic, and not suited to families, but for single or couples looking for a place to stay. You would consider this a budget hotel without any luxuries at 50 Euro at night, id say its fair value. Thanks for the great stay, staff and location made it great
