"We had a lovely time at this hotel. It was large, spacious, calm and gave a very nice 'Bath'-esque kind of feel - historical and interesting inside and out. Plus it was very close to the main centre of the city (walk). However, we got lucky with parking but it can be a bit tight so get there just before your check in time for more success!"
"Absolutely delighted with our stay. The room felt very spacious and was spotlessly clean. The central location was fantastic; everything was within easy walking distance. There's a supermarket right at the doorstep, which was incredibly convenient for groceries, or you could dine at the hotel's restaurant, which is right by the entrance. We arrived at noon, dropped our bags at the hotel, and went straight out to explore. We managed to see most of Bath's highlights within half a day. Though small, Bath is truly breathtaking."
"The hotel's location is fantastic for exploring the city, and the staff we interacted with were generally friendly.
The breakfast was a definite highlight – a wide variety of hot and cold options, all of good quality. It did get very busy, so if you order something from the kitchen like a cooked-to-order omelette, be prepared for a short wait. It was worth it, though!"
"The hotel facilities are quite new. Its location is incredibly convenient: a supermarket is right outside the door, and various restaurants are just a short walk away. A public bath is also very close by, easily reachable on foot. The hotel's buffet breakfast was also excellent."
"Facilities: It is a villa building with a beautiful appearance. The two of us enjoyed the treatment of six beds, which was great. There was no problem with hygiene and cleanliness.
Hygiene: The sheets and quilts were clean, and the bathroom was clean, which was satisfactory👍
Environment: The surrounding environment is beautiful and pleasant, and the transportation is convenient. There is a bus stop outside.
Service: Very good"
"The hotel room is small, the hotel waiter is bad. When we checked in at night, we told him that we wanted to add two breakfasts, and he said that we could pay for them tomorrow. We were worried that the price would be different if we paid at night and the next morning. The male waiter kept saying no, and insisted that I pay tomorrow. He said it was the same price, but the next morning, a female waiter changed and charged 3 pounds more per person. Travelers who book hotels in the future should pay attention to avoid scams. The small bridge leading into the village will stop a car and charge one pound."
"Our stay at Oldfields House was outstanding we were shown our room then offered another with a stunning four post bed, which we settled into quite quickly. The staff on check in were amazing and fixed us up promptly and courteously. Breakfast was delicious and filling and our coffee was perfect."
"Advantages: Leaving the lively city center, just living on the first floor, the beautiful garden outside the window, has a really relaxing time. The room is large and the facilities are old but complete with a vintage feel. The breakfast bagel is a big highlight, and the standard breakfast is comparable to other UK hotels, which is amazingly delicious. The service staff is also very warm and friendly, but also very humorous, all kinds of jokes with me. Disadvantages: My so-called big bed is made up of two single beds, one can't sleep in the middle."
"One of the cheaper hotels that we could find in Bath but it wasn't a budget stay. We booked a double room with a sofa bed and got upgraded to two doubles and a sofa bed so the kids were happy.
All the staff were very professional and nothing was too much trouble. There were complimentary cookies and popcorn on offer.
Location was perfect for the tourist sites of Bath."
"The hotel boasts an excellent location, making it incredibly convenient to reach directly from Bath Spa train station via a bus that stops right outside. While check-in is in the afternoon, complimentary luggage storage is available if you arrive early. My room was very comfortable, quiet, and spacious; opting for an accessible room offers even more space. The front desk staff kindly reminded me not to pull the emergency cord in the room. Dinner is served à la carte at the restaurant, and the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. A big thank you to all the staff for their wonderful service!"

Amazing
AAnikeBathen House is simply phenomenal from the mixture of old and modern aesthetic that screams class, elegance and luxury to the squeaky clean, serene environment and the oh so polite staff that were always available to help and make your stay as comfortable as possible. It was such a remarkable experience and I would definitely go back again. I absolutely loved my stay at Bathen House and I swill always recommend. It was the best Easter Holiday and Experience.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good located in the city center but due to several bars nearby, very noisy at night, every night you have to bring earplugs to fall asleep. The noise does not stop until about two or three o'clock.Water for shower in the washroom The pressure is very low, it will be easy to get cold if you take a shower in winter. The washing machine does not have a drying function, so the chance of using it is not high.

ZZhanqianyingSmall luxury hotel I feel relieved to see that it is SLH, but it is unusually understaffed. From check-in to dining in the restaurant, you have to wait, wait, wait. If you don’t understand English, please don’t come. Most of the employees look like college students who work part-time and cannot solve the problem alone. question.
The restaurant and bar are good, the room is very big, you need to take the stairs to the first floor, and the bathroom is half a floor up. The swimming pool is small and there are many people. There is a sauna, but it was useless because the temperature was 30 degrees on the day of arrival.
Charging the tram is also very funny. It took a long time to fully charge it.
GGuest UserExcellent stay at a beautiful Georgian home. Room was clean and warm. Tea/ coffee hot chocolate in the room. A very lovely and central place to explore the city of Bath. Hosts were very attentive and helpful. Great choice of food for breakfast. A very lovely stay
SShriya PopatThe staff were really friendly and sweet! The location is good about 10-15mins walk into central town. Our room was well equipped with a dyson hair dryer. The breakfast was also really lovely. The toilet in the room we stayed in was in a little bit of an awkward position or else this would have recieved 5 stars!
LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful.
We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest.
The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss.
One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go.
Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109.

GGuest UserPositives - excellent receptionist (Vipin) and without his help I would have probably checked out early. Has parking. Reasonable location and access into central Bath. Has an electric kettle and a pack of cookies.
Not so positives - In desperate need of upgrade, creaking floors, wash basin outside the bathroom. It isn’t for work related travellers as you cannot even use an iron without tripping off the entire building main switch and once that happen there is no 24 hour active reception. No fan or iron provided in room so you have to ask. Tiny computer monitor used as a make shift TV that you have to pull out of a closet. No drinking water in room. Value for money not there as many better locations available at same or lower price.
Aan618The location is far away, but there are buses leaving the center within a few minutes' walk.
The room is quite big and unique. There is also a living room with a sofa.
The receptionist was nice. After a night out, I called an uber on my way back.
