GGuest UserThe waiting area for check-in is very British and beautiful. We booked a classic room, which requires us to walk through the main building, pass the garden, and come to the second floor of a stable. The room is clean and the toilet is relatively large. But the location is a bit disappointing. The high price and high positioning of the hotel make us automatically assume that the view of the room will be particularly good, overlooking the city of Bath. The actual situation is disappointing. Looking out is the street view on the other side, and I dare not open the window. The pure British white old man helps you carry the luggage, making you feel embarrassed not to tip. The restaurant is very delicious, and the cauliflower is especially delicious. In this place, you have to keep communicating and making requests. They can do better.

AAmeitongxueThis hotel boasts an excellent location right by Putney Bridge, making it super convenient to get around. There's a Waitrose supermarket next door and plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is quite new, with a clean and minimalist decor – not luxurious, but very comfortable. I'd give full marks to the service in the ground floor restaurant; the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and accommodating, and the food was plentiful and delicious. My only slight complaint is that the shower stall was a bit narrow. Even for someone who isn't particularly big, turning around felt quite awkward; I'd estimate it's only about 60-70 cm wide. Everything else was perfect, though! I had a wonderful three days here.

GGuest UserThis hotel is part of a chain, so you can count on the quality being consistent across the board. Its prime location in the heart of the old town makes it incredibly convenient for walking to the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, and the River Avon. Despite early May not being peak season, the hotel was quite popular with a high occupancy rate. Breakfast is served on the ground floor in the lobby, and while it can get very busy during peak hours, it's always well-organized. They offer a full English breakfast with all the usual trimmings. The rooms aren't small, but trying to open and lay flat two 28-inch suitcases might feel a bit cramped. We booked two twin rooms and one double room, staying for two nights, and found all the services to be excellent – clean, tidy, and quiet.

SShenhaiAbsolutely excellent! My English isn't great, but the check-in process was incredibly smooth and welcoming. The front desk staff patiently explained the hotel, how to use the bar, how to enter, the breakfast, the room facilities, and so on. They were so helpful! The hotel was extremely clean. I booked a twin room, which was well-laid out and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. It's about a 12-minute walk from the city center and attractions—not too far, not too close—and public transportation is very convenient. The breakfast is a standard English breakfast, but you can also choose other options. The surrounding environment is beautiful; it's only about a 5-minute walk to the park, which is a must-see!

The room was lovely, the bed comfortable and I would recommend staying there to anyone. It’s closely situated near the Abbey, the Roman Bath site, Sally Lunn’s Buns and lots of beautiful shops and buildings. A quintessential and wonderful place to stay while visiting Bath!

GGuest UserWe had an amazing stay at The Bailbrook House Hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and all the food was excellent.
We had a small issue at breakfast as were quite late coming in for it and some of the fruit had gone, however having said that the poached egg and avocado on sourdough I had was to die for, and was delicious, and the full english was very good too. All in all it was all very enjoyable stay and would definitely return, and recommend the hotel to friends and family.

MMr.EdwardsThe advertising pictures look stunning, but the actual room is quite different. The facilities are outdated, and my husband disliked the overhead shower—it felt like being forced to wash his hair even when he didn’t want to. The drainage in the shower was extremely slow, leaving water pooling around our feet. Ventilation in the bathroom was poor, making it uncomfortable. Additionally, the night shift staff were quite rude.
That being said, Bath is a beautiful city, and we will definitely return—just not to this hotel.

GGuest UserThe building is old, and there's a lot of noise from the wood and stairs. You can also hear the TV next door and conversations from the street, so there's no soundproofing. I had trouble with this on the first night, but the night staff member (Samuel) was very attentive and changed my room. Overall, it's good value for money.

GGuest UserStayed at Wentworth House for one night. The location was handy — only about a 6 or 7-minute taxi ride into the centre of Bath. Parking on site was free, which is always a bonus, though spaces were limited. The shower worked fine with good hot water, and at £120 a night for three people, the price wasn’t unreasonable for Bath.
On the downside, the place is very dated and could do with some serious modernisation. Our room had a noticeable damp smell and the single-glazed windows didn’t help keep the room warm or quiet. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there, but overall, it’s an okay option if you just need somewhere for a night and aren’t too fussy — though a refresh would really lift the place.
