The hotel is in a general location. After 11pm or before 10am, the accessories are basically not available for purchase. It takes about half an hour to walk from the modern subway station and about 8 pounds. The front desk of the hotel is in a bar (also a restaurant). The front desk is as big as a washing machine. It is generally unattended. When you check in, you will say hello to the restaurant waiter. She will call the waiter who is going to check in. The room is not in the restaurant and bar, but in a second floor next door, the waiter is very warm and helps us with our luggage. We stayed at 11 o'clock in the evening and the restaurant closed. The rooms are small, but the basic facilities are there, as well as pots for hot water. The size of the bathroom is acceptable, that is, the washbasin is really too small (pictured), about 15 cm wide and 30 cm long, which is very inconvenient. My partner and I recently stayed here as it was close to the theatre. We had other options of the Premier Inn nearer to the venue, but chanced the Antoinette as parking was available. So glad we took the chance. On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and even upgraded our room to an executive room. The room itself was very clean and comfortable with the facilities in the room more than you'd expect from the cost of the room. With only a 6 minute walk to the theatre we used this to our advantage by coming and going to the local restaurants. The only lwt down was there was not a restaurant within the hotel as we'd have loved to experience and evening meal there too, but the local Persian restaurant was a first with lovely food. We will definitely stay here again and again as we have looked at more shows to see at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

Great hotel, easy to access and very clean.

Balham Lodge is in a perfect location. Balham is lively and fun with lots of restaurants and easy access to public transit to get anywhere. The staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms are smaller than most US hotel rooms though there are two public spaces if you want to spread out a bit. We enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it.
