We booked Ke rensia villas for part of our honeymoon. Before we arrived, we messaged via *********** to ask if it was ok if we checked in at 12pm as that's when our boat was arriving. The owners responded and said yes, that would be fine. We arrived after a very long journey on an extremely hot day. Both of us were pouring with sweat after finally reaching the hotel with very heavy bags. When we arrived we were told our room wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 2 hours. We were told 'you can walk around for 2 hours and come back'. When we insisted we had already arranged an early check in, the female member of staff who works on the desk was extremely rude to us and shrugged her shoulders and said 'that's just our check in time'. Eventually we were seated in the restaurant, Lockdown Kitchen and the staff said they would get a villa ready for us. When we were finally shown the villa, we were really disappointed. It was dirty, with a filthy breakfast bar area and there were several dead insect stains on the walls and a dead, squashed cockroach on the floor. The bedroom was extremely dark and dingy too, with a very hard bed. It was definitely not the romantic villa in the photos. To make matters worse, the location of the villa meant that ants, flies, enormous spiders and other flying creatures constantly came into the kitchen area and then also into our bedroom. On several occasions we had to call the front desk to have very large spiders removed from our villa because they kept ending up in our bedroom. It was really difficult to relax and go to sleep at night when we were worried about huge spiders coming under the large gap under the door and into our bedroom. On the first night some of the electrics in the villa complex also went out which meant our garden lights stopped working and we couldn't sit by our pool in the evenings. This still wasn't fixed when we checked out. Breakfast was average. I tried two coffees while we were here, both of which were abysmal and had to be thrown away. The banana pancakes I had were passable. You also couldn't close or lock the bathroom door from the inside which meant there wasn't much privacy going to the bathroom. Overall this was an extremely disappointing stay. The only plus point for this hotel was the lovely male staff members who were really friendly and helpful. However we would definitely not stay here again when we return to Gili Air and will not be recommending this hotel. This stay nearly ruined our honeymoon and we desperately wished we had booked somewhere else. In conclusion, the female member of staff here needs some customer training and if you like clean places and you aren't a fan of insects you definitely shouldn't book here.

Super well located hotel and very comfortable rooms with air conditioning, large 180 cm bed, drinking water available, bathrobes, beach towels, small private terrace, pretty little swimming pool, very clean and quiet… adorable staff. BAYAN organized the transfer of luggage to the port and the recovery of the bicycles that we rented. TEGUH The manager is also very nice and very helpful. Very good and plentiful breakfast by the water. Because breakfast is made in the second hotel 5 minutes by bike. Free deckchair on the beautiful beach. We highly recommend this hotel and point out that we did not hear any noise since given the heat we closed the windows and the bathroom door. Our stay in the hotel was for 7 nights and we loved every bit of it . From the moment we walked in , the feeling of absolute relaxation and being at a chilled out place started to be felt . We were told by the owner that we are the first guests after the pandemic and he and his family went out of the way to make us feel at home . my 2 children (7&4 years) became friends with the owners children which were also of the same age group . The property is in the middle of the village and has a unique rustic appeal and charm to it . I loved the interior design which reminded me of my ancestral home in my village . very authentic . ( reminded me of my childhood) . Mango trees in the orchard right next to the pool , multiple vegetation enhanced the experience . As the property is in the center of town so very convenient going anywhere . Multiple food joints , bars within walking distance . there are multiple things which can be improved but I fear if those improvements are done , it will lose its charm and authentic touch . i wish it to remain the same . we started missing it as soon as we left and will definitely be back .

Stuff 10/10 Breakfast 7/10 Bathroom 4/10 shower weak and water tap little broken Bed 5/10 comfy okish, dark room, Aircon not so strong. For the price I can recommend it!
