The room is small but the kitchen and toilet are good. The view around the hostel is good, but there are many horse shit around the hostel.

Nice hotel in a quiet place. Ideal for relaxing after a day of discoveries. Very comfy beds. Eco friendly products. Staff very friendly. Such nice views of the mountains. Worth your money! Buffet was quite nice.

The service staff is a man and a woman, and they are very eye-catching, which makes me very useful for this kind of face control. 1.) This is NOT a 3 star hotel. The accommodations are very meager. 2.) The staff did NOT warn us about the Sandflies in the area upon check in. By midnight, our room was infested with these bugs that bite and itch. We had to leave in the middle of the night to make our return to Reykjavik to escape this situation. 3.) There was a bunch of horse dung outside our window as well that was disgusting and likely exasperated the sand fly problem. I emailed the owners and never heard a response.

Because I made an appointment to see the ice cave the next day, I found that it was only 46 kilometers away from the meeting point. Although I had to go back, the price was the most cost-effective, so I booked it. We didn’t arrive at Glacier Lagoon until 10 o’clock in the evening. A nice retreat in a quiet part of Iceland. We spent 2 nights here on our recent trip to Iceland. The cabins are just a short drive from Hofn, where you can find groceries, restaurants and a well equipped public pool (we highly recommend checking it out, our 2yo had a blast there with the baby water slide). The best bonus? A same day laundry service in town to help us wash all our winter gear before we continue on the second half of our trip! We stayed at the family cabin, the set up is 1 queen size bed and 1 twin bed in the sectioned off bedroom with a door. There is another twin bed opposite the bathroom. There is a studio apartment style kitchen with a dinner table, some simple seasonings, and an outdoor gas grill. We managed to cook our meals here easily for the 2 nights we stayed. The cabins are quiet, we enjoyed the scenery. The water heater had plenty of water for our family of three. The radiators kept us cozy and warm all night, we didnt even need blankets. We felt very relaxed here and would return should we find ourselves in Iceland again.

We spent just one night but we loved the accommodation. As a family of 3 we booked a private room with a private bathroom and loved the space. The hostel itself is very clean and in a residential neighbourhood. Everyone who was staying was very nice and the communal kitchen was easily accessible to everyone. We walked to the town and that was very doable. The town is quiet but there are a number of things to see in the area. We really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend it.
