We’ve just returned from a very relaxing week’s holiday at Hotel Stefania. It was just what we were looking for. ALL the staff are amazing, especially the reception ladies and the restaurant staff. Nothing was a problem and they go above and beyond with a friendly smile. We stayed half board and really enjoyed the food in the beautiful restaurant. The waiters were attentive and looked after us amazingly. We had a fantastic boat trip organised by the hotel and made some great friends, highly recommended. We also caught a taxi organised by the hotel to Olbia which was a great day out but there is a cheaper option of a bus. Our room was spacious and kept lovely and clean. The beautiful beach is a short walk, perfect. If you’re looking for a relaxing beach break this is the place. We will return in the future. A big thank you to the hotel!

Take in the views from a terrace and a garden.

This is NOT a 4-star hotel. The hotel policy is to charge the guests as much as possible and hide/avoid to communicate fees and restrictions. Choose another hotel where you will not get so disappointed and better value for your money. Some examples: - Sunbeds in the garden were not allowed to be used by other guests than those who had ”superior rooms”, even if no one used them. They were reserved for these rooms all the time. Lots of people, including us, were very surprised and disappointed when finding out this. - To get a pair of sunbeds and a parasol on the hotel's ”part” of the beach costs EUR 30/day! There was no information about this beforehand. - The hotel pretends it's a private beach, but it's actually a small part of a public beach only marked with two short ropes. The hotel's ”part” of the beach is maybe 30-40 meters long. - If you go to the other part of the public beach, the sunbeds are cheaper. If you walk 10 min to another beach, the fee for 2 sunbeds and a parsol is EUR 18/day ! - The public beach was cleaned every day, but the hotel didn't clean it's ”part”. Nor did the hotel clean it's garden/lawn. - The pool is very small, maybe. 5x5 meters in an oval shape, with only 7 sunbeds (!!!) for all guests (approx. 100 hotel guests). The pool area has a view over the road going between the main building and the annex and restaurant on the beach side of the road. - The (standard) rooms are quite small (no upgrade was possible to make although the hotel didn't seem to be fully booked). They are very humid; our clothes in the closet got humid and towels, bathing suits, etc. did not dry during the day or night. - Breakfast; a small buffee, tasteless juice made of concentrate, powdered eggs, tasteless cheap yoghurt, canned fruit (only melon and sometimes pinapple were fresh). The coffee machines often broke down and it took forever to make a cup of coffee. The cleaning of the room was though very good and the reception staff very friendly and helpful. I would say the hotel standard is 2,5 - 3 stars, but considering the hiding of information of additional high fees and restrictions and limitations for the guest before arrival, the value for money is poor. It's a pity since the location is very nice and it could be a very nice 4-star hotel. But the owner/management choose to be greedy. Shame on you!

When we arrived at the hotel room, we were astonished, as it was really big - at least 50 square metres. We felt ourselves really well. However, as we have travelled in Sardinia quite a lot now, then it is typical that you do not think about heating. You fall asleep in a warm room, but wake up in cold, as the sun does not heat the room any more. The hotel is in a good location - close to Olbia Terranova train station and not too far from the city centre. In conclusion, the hotel is not a disappointment. For this money - it is impossible to get a room spacious like that anywhere.

The hotel is attractive and new and the reception and breakfast room are traditionally decorated and light. We booked a deluxe room which is actually a 1 bedroom apartment. In the living room there is a kitchenette with full sized fridge/freezer, dining table and chairs, sofa bed and tv. The bed was very comfy and there was another tv in the bedroom. Channels are Italian or German. The best thing was the balcony directly overlooking Piazza Matteotti and the Trivenere di Veralto fountain. Bedding and curtains were new but the rooms could do with a little makeover to make them as attractive as the public areas . The air con and shower were not the best. But the accommodation is excellent value offering space and freedom, all the staff were lovely, the location is excellent and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. It is easy to walk to the waterfront and there is a large supermarket nearby, a mini Market next door but one and many eateries, bars and other piazzas to explore. We caught an open bus to Pittulongu beach and the landtrain around town. San Simplico and San Paulo and the Archaeological Museum are all easy to walk to. Do visit the rooftop of the sister hotel, Hotel Panorama (lovely staff again) , 2 minutes walk away, fabulous 360° views and at night the Orbia Ferris Wheel is mesmerising with it's kaleidoscopic lights. You can sunbathe up there, enjoy the views day or night and even use the phone by the lift to call down and order drinks. Access to their spa facilities can be booked for a fee. I would certainly stay at Hotel Regina Elena again.
