We had an overall excellent experience at Certosa Di Pontignano. After staying primarily in city centre locations for our European adventure, we decided to try something historic and country side oriented while having a rental car in Tuscany. This place looked beautiful from website and pictures, and fascinating to stay somewhere with 800 years of history under its belt. The location 15 minutes from central Siena is great - it's very quiet and serene. It may be tough to get to without a car, but the drive was easy. Not much around it in terms of restaurants, stores, etc - however that's kind of the point. There are 2 EV chargers onsite - unfortunately both were down for maintenance. Good thing we rented a hybrid which didn't completely rely on these. The chargers don't belong to the hotel, so outside of their responsibility. The property is fascinating, and beautifully landscaped. There are 2 huge courtyards, and a fabulous garden on one side. The architecture is interesting, and you can feel the history in every corner. We were in a 2 bedroom apartment, which was full of character and spacious. The main bedroom upstairs was a bit precarious to get to, due to a very steep staircase - however it was comfortable. No A/C, however it seemed cool overall, and there were fans in the closets if we needed them. The beds were a bit on the hard side, however we slept well. Breakfast on the terrace was great - with an almost unending selection of good quality food. A great way to start the day. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The advantage here is that it is very convenient to walk 14 minutes from the train station. It is acceptable to walk to the old town of Siena for 20 minutes. The price is beautiful and very moving now. The environment is superb. I saw the deer in the garden in the morning. The manager proudly introduced that four deer babies were born this year. Instantly, I feel that this place is outstanding, especially suitable for creativity, works, and results. Every morning, the window is opened, and the fresh air on the hillside is poured into the room. People have a clear mind, inspiration, and a new look. It is a good choice for a temporary stay away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast at 8 o'clock, not self-service, you need to tell the manager what to eat one day in advance, they are ready, every day when they enter the restaurant, they see the breakfast neatly placed on the table, and the service is in place. The restaurant wall is a trekking pole handmade by the manager uncle, each of which is made into a small animal image according to the natural shape of the branches, and the eyes are painted, which is very flexible. It is very popular. It is said that many people buy it. The layout, furniture and facilities in the room are all strong Italian style, some retro atmosphere, old objects are very reassuring. The temperature in Italy in December looked more than a dozen degrees, but it still felt wet and cold outside the rain, the room was heated, the ground was warm, and I could walk barefoot. The attitude is very enthusiastic and the facilities are four-star standard. It's a bit far from the city center. The key is the meal, which is great. The baked snacks for breakfast are unforgettable. They are not oily or sweet, but they are particularly fragrant. For dinner, I ordered a roast pork knee with plum sauce (a small amount, only half a pork knee, not a large portion like Germany), and I even licked the plate. I ordered a pumpkin leek soup for my mother. She has a bad appetite and feels comfortable after eating it.

I stayed at this facility during a tour that I had organized in Tuscany, the facility is located in a quite comfortable area to access the city and there are many parkings on the road, so, Although the building is not equipped with private parking, we have never had any problems to park nearby inside there is a room that is dedicated to breakfast, very wide and lightened the room is large, The bathroom is spacious, the shower was very large and comfortable, there were both duches and towels . everything was very clean I have to say that everything was very clean and staff very amable I don't know how breakfast is because we went to make it at the Corsini bakery (cake star winner 2022) that is 10 minutes from the B & B despite all rooms were busy we had noise problems there are two negative points for me One is that there is no small frigobar (vakuum) in the room, having a refrigerator for medicines I take I had to use my refrigerator that I keep in the car another negative point that there is no chance of being able to take a coffee or a bottle of water during day/night ... would be great a distributor is certainly a very good structure for anyone who wants to stay in Siena, outside the very chaotic tourist center, but reachable in 10 minutes walk below the Ovile door and the mobile scale of the San Francesco parking

Nice hotel within 15 minutes of the station and of the town centre. It is up a hill from the station and the hill continues into town. Because of this there are lovely views from the hotel. After our original booking we decided to upgrade to a room with a terrace which had beautiful views over the town. The hotel also has a really pretty garden - on the upper level you can have your breakfast rather than eating inside. On the lower level there are comfy seats. Our room was fairly basic but very clean and the air conditioning was brilliant. Breakfast was continental with a mix of ham, eggs, cheese, cakes, pastries, fruit, cereals, bread, jams and honey. A great choice. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and let us leave our bags after checking out while we went out for a few hours before catching our train. Also a couple of nice bars and restaurants very close by if you don’t want to walk into town.

Highly recommended hotel for its ideal location, cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, without neglecting the friendliness and professionalism of the owner. I return often with great satisfaction and have never been disappointed, experience after experience.

Reserved for a distant night of August. Easy to find structure only with crossing through ztl. So you need registration through the municipal site. Easy to find parking in front of the structure. The hotel is located in the city centre of the city, and is located in the city centre of the city. Although we are not smokers, we are going to go a tour and see that the structure has a beautiful garden, but not treated for years. For the rest, the room is recently renovated, everything is new, we don't suffer too warm, the fridge is OK, the wi-fi works, the bathroom is small but functional. With a little more care in details, it would be an imperviable solution for those who go to Siena.
