"Smile Hotel Shinsaibashi in Osaka truly exceeded my expectations, offering a five-star experience. The location is superb, right next to the bustling Shinsaibashi shopping district. Everything from shopping and dining to attractions is within easy reach, yet the hotel itself is a tranquil oasis, providing a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The cleanliness was impeccable; every corner of the room was spotless, the bedding pristine, and the bathroom gleamed. The air was fresh and pleasant. While the facilities aren't luxurious, they are complete and practical. The comfortable mattress ensured a good night's sleep, and thoughtful amenities like air conditioning and an air purifier were much appreciated. The staff were a true highlight – everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team was warm and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile, patiently answering questions, and even hand-drawing maps to help with directions, which made me feel incredibly welcome. In summary, with its convenient location, pristine environment, excellent facilities, and attentive service, this is an outstanding choice for anyone visiting Osaka. My only regret is that this was just a stopover for me, and I only stayed for one day before heading to Kyoto. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Osaka."

"The place itself was good for the price. I had a private room and private bathroom, with a shared shower area just down the hall, at only 12 USD for one night. The self check-in was a bit confusing because there are apparently 3 adjacent or nearby places by the same name and I was in Bakuro 2, which meant the QR code I scanned on the door to check-in did not recognize my booking. I spoke to a staff member inside the bar who clarified this for me and I then was given the correct QR code for check-in. It seems Bakuro 1 and 2 are right next to each other, but their check-in systems are totally separate. To my pleasant surprise, my room was bigger than expected. The floor was cement, so quite cold in the winter, and the window even when closed was not sealed for insulation, so it allowed a lot of cold air inside despite using the warm air setting on the AC unit. The location allowed easy access to Shin-Imamiya station, but it was in a rougher neighborhood by Japanese standards. I saw many homeless people and people who were collapsed on the street either from alcohol or for other reasons in broad daylight the day I arrived, but I had an early flight out of Kansai so wanted to be close to the station and didn't feel unsafe walking outside at 6:00 am the morning of my departure."

"Hotel was very near to the train station , lawson convenient store. From the train station u just need to pass 1 traffic light and u are arrived. Hotel was super clean, tidy but the shower room and toilet was outside the room, located at the ground level, but itsokay, everything was fine ! The hotel also near to some attraction places, and still at a resonae price compared to others, Recommended!💯"

"The location was great, just a few minutes’ walk to a convenience store and a nearby train station, and about a 20-minute walk to Dotonbori, which made getting around very convenient. The room itself was comfortable, but only one pillow was provided. When we requested an extra pillow, we were informed that it would cost ¥500 per pillow, which was a little disappointing. We were also advised that if any items were left on the bed, the room would not be cleaned for the day, which felt quite restrictive. Overall, the hotel is well located, but guests may want to be aware of these policies before booking."

"Pictures in the reviews can't seem to capture the actual look of the hotel facilities. I was expecting the facilities and amenities to be outdated but to my surprise , it wad quite the opposite ! The beds were comfortable and electrical appliances were working perfectly. For such a cheap price, I was delighted to stay in this hotel. I would definitely return to this hotel."

"I stayed here for 4 nights and had a really good overall experience. The location is super convenient, right in the heart of Dotonbori. You just need to cross the road to reach Shinsaibashi, which made shopping and exploring extremely easy. There are also multiple exits of Namba Station nearby, so transportation is very convenient. The area is lively and full of food options, convenience stores, and shops, so everything you need is within walking distance. Despite being in such a busy area, the hotel itself feels comfortable and a good place to rest after a long day out. I really enjoyed my stay at Acro and would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Osaka."

"The rooms and floors have been renovated, and they are indeed much cleaner and tidier. However, the downside is that none of the doors have locks; instead, you get a wooden sign to hang on the doorknob. This can lead to people accidentally trying to open the wrong door. It's a hassle having to lock my luggage every day or send it downstairs for storage. The wardrobes and desks in the room have been removed. While I can manage without a wardrobe, not having a desk is really inconvenient. The air conditioning in the hallway on my floor wasn't turned on, even though it was below zero degrees. Each room only had a small heater, which was very loud and noisy, making it impossible to keep on all night. Almost every time I stay on the women-only floor, there are men staying on it, and this time, someone even tried to open the wrong door. I was also asked to pay an extra 500 yen for the specific room I requested at the front desk, which has never happened before. Overall, my experience this time was pretty mediocre. I also have to complain about the Wi-Fi; it only works in the lobby. I've never been able to connect to it in my room."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk from Ebisucho Station. Right across from the subway station, there's a fantastic Abura Soba (oiled noodles) place – quite different from soup noodles, and I highly recommend it! There's a 7-Eleven directly opposite the hotel, and Nihonbashi, the 'anime/manga paradise,' is right next door. I stayed at Koko both at the start and end of my trip, and the fact that they provide P**ola brand toiletries was a lovely bonus."

"Staff was super friendly, good breakfast. Bedrooms were okay but too small. Our bedroom was clean but there are areas at the hotel that could be a bit more clean (hall carpets, also smells a bit like humidity). It was overall a good stay. Thanks!"
