This hotel is part of the hospital complex and has tourists and patients as guests. The rooms are basic with two single beds. The adjoining bathroom was almost bigger than the room and everything was clean. There was a good choice of options for breakfast. However, I would not recommend the dinner unless you really can't be bothered to take the bus into town. We ate there on our first evening and were surprised at the lack of choice. It was a buffet with a few pieces of tomato and cucumber, bread, cheese, jam and soup. The bus leaves from the front door and takes you to the centre in about 10 to 12 minutes so getting around is not difficult. (I suggest buying a week pass at the kiosk near the reception as it works out much cheaper than buying a ticket each time you take the bus)
The service exceeded expectations, and the front desk staff was very enthusiastic and willing to provide additional help. The cabin is very warm, clean and tidy as typical of Northern Europe, fully equipped for cooking, and will stay there if you have the opportunity
Stayed for 2 nights! The room was cosy, and cute. The bed was really hard though, but the pillows were thick and soft! It was tidy and clean, and the bathroom was great with good pressure in the shower! The rooms had a TV with chromecast! Also the lights in the room were easy to control :) The hotel is really close to airport and traffic, but it's well isolated so we didn't get bothered by the noise of the traffic. As mentioned the hotel is close to ”jekta”, just a few minutes walk. And it's not a long drive if you prefer to bathe at ”Tromsø badet” It's easy to get there by car, but if you don't like driving there is a bus stop for route 28 right beside the hotel which makes it easier to travel to the mainland and back. Reception, bar and breakfast is at the top floor, with lot of room to he social or just enjoy the sight alone. They also had board games you could use! The only REALLY minus of our stay were that the service were a bit slow. We asked for help with the TV several times without luck. But I am not to mad about it due to few personel and high workload while we were there. (And the personel were really nice and polite) The hotel may wanna make an easier note that breakfast is NOT included in the room (as they traditionally are in tromsoe). And also how much breakfast cost! On your website it only says when breakfast is served (and that it's free until March 2024, which it were not). We were informed in the morning breakfast was 199 NOK per person, luckily with shopping center close by, and food market breakfast is easy to acquire. To sum it up: will stay at the hotel next time as well!
did not enjoy the stay here. it's shown on Google maps as a top-rated 4-star hotel and for the price, we were expecting much more. our overall experience is best summed up by saying that the stay was similar to that of a 3-star hotel in the better end, but not worth its price. we ended up wishing we had tried clarion hotel (our alternative with the same number of stars).
firstly, the staff were not friendly or helpful at the reception. we arrived in tromso a few days before our check-in (as we were going on a cruise first), and after confirming our hotel reservation with the reception, we asked if we could leave the luggage for a few hours before our cruise started. the lady serving us just pointed to the baggage area and said it was full and did not offer to help or even suggest any alternatives. from that interaction alone, we already felt that this hotel would not live up to our expectations based on its price and Google reviews
when we finally checked in, the reception staff was once again neither friendly nor helpful, although she was more polite than our previous encounter. our room was clean, but small and we struggled to open both our luggages. the tv is old and the picture is poor with no apps such as netflix/disney+/etc., and no option to cast from our computer / mobile device.
breakfast was included and was quite decent. but otherwise, everything else was just fair despite being priced at a 4-star hotel range, and hence our impression is that this should have been given a 3-star hotel rating and price
The location is excellent, only a three- to five-minute walk from the event center and one minute from the bus station. The front desk restaurant and room service staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is not too small for this city and the bed is a bit soft. The most commendable thing is that it includes breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea, which are served for a long time. There is basically no need to go out to eat in restaurants. Especially when you come with friends, you can eat in the restaurant at your own pace, saving a lot of time. You know During the peak tourist season, it takes a long time to wait for a seat at an outside restaurant to order a meal. The variety and taste of the food are pretty good. It is a highly recommended hotel.

In the city centre and walking distance to main attractions. Location is also close to most meeting points for the tours. Price is reasonable, and my room has an amazing view of the harbour.
The hotel could not be in a better location for exploring Tromso and provides very good value. It was easy to travel to and from the airport (although we admittedly got a short taxi) and visit the sights (including getting a bus to the Arctic Cathedral). The room was small, but great value for what we had paid. We were mainly using it as a base in between trips and sightseeing, so it did the job nicely. We had twin beds, a desk and chair, an armchair and a long mirror. The bathroom was also very good - there was always hot water and the shower offered a good water pressure, making it easier to wash your hair after being caught in a snowstorm! The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of food, including my favourite - brown cheese. I would be happy to stay there again.
The place is really great, just at the centre of Tromsø, next to the beautiful port and the bus centre; the restaurants next to the hotel are amazing as well.
My breakfast was included, and I really enjoyed the breakfast, lots of choice with great flavors!
Strongly recommended!!!
