The location is, of course, magnificent. For a couple of days and evenings with their beautiful sunsets, you definitely won’t want to leave anywhere. Then you will probably need to take a proper swim. The beaches at the hotel are too shallow. At least that's what happened in April. And by noon the water was too warm and not refreshing. But on Freedom Beach, if you swim further from the shore, there are a lot of fish and corals. Although, I also met a huge parrot fish and a small shark in the shallows. However, keep in mind that to the normal depth you have to swim 150 meters above the cucumbers and hedgehogs, which is a little tiring. If you're looking for a snorkeling paradise, I recommend heading to Au Leuk Beach. This is where marine abundance begins almost from the shore. Moreover, to the right and left of the beach. And in the middle there is an excellent swimming area, with good depth and the color of the water is cooler than at Nissi Beach in Cyprus. As for the hotel itself, the bungalows are cozy and clean. No frills, but everything is laconic and modern. We were quite satisfied with the breakfasts and cuisine in the restaurants. The price of the hotel is small, but we did not regret the money spent. We spent a long time choosing a place on Koh Tao and were not mistaken. The staff is friendly and smiling. Even the already legendary chief administrator, famous for her cool disposition, greeted and saw us off cordially. It depends on your luck, apparently. One of the minuses that is worth mentioning is garbage on the hotel grounds, between stones and in other hard-to-reach and other places. Plus the shower at Freedom Beach did not work. But the local beauties cover even this. The sunset at Freedom Beach is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life.

Booking a room at Varivana is the most relaxing and comforting way to spend a vacation with your loved one in Koh Phangan. The staff is friendly, professional, and even offer great tips for fun things to do in the area. The rooms are clean and the facilities are immaculate. The contemporary styles of the rooms, mixed with the abundance of plant life and nature, make it a truly unique experience from other resorts. Plus, the food, drinks, and the view from the pool/dining area provoke you to take out your camera and snap a picture almost every time. This is a perfect couple's retreat for you and your partner - it's beautiful, quiet, and very relaxing.

Convenient location - laundry and supermarkets are within walking distance. Friendly staff. The room was very dark, one small light bulb and a small tinted window. There was no balcony as stated in the room description, although the hotel does have rooms with balconies. Overall I liked it, I would stay again

I stayed here for 5 nights before, during and after the fullmoon party. The owners are really amazing!! 2 Thai guys who run the hostel, they help you with everything but never push you to do something. The beds are comfortable and you got some walls between the beds for some privacy! Its not a party hostel so if you want some rest its the perfect place to be!! A little chill spot upstairs where you can hang out and they let you play your own music on their boombox if you want! I would defenitely recommend this hostel and will go back for sure next time in Phangang!

I was a week at the Tharathip Resort at Koh Phangan and I have absolutely nothing to expose. The staff is very helpful and premature. I always sat on the terrace with my laptop on the lunch and drank a coffee, the staff were careful and already knew exactly how I loved my coffee and brought it to me without having to order any ; -) The rooms were exactly as described. Clean, spacious and with a balcony with sea view. The beach before the door is not suitable for swimming, but there are enough others on Koh Phangan. Just rent a roller and explore the island. The accommodation has its own roller rent and is only recommended, lend the roller for several days there is a discount. The food m restaurant is also recommended, if request it is also brought to the room.

Best hotel we’ve stayed in so far in Thailand, like our own little bungalow with everything we needed, pool is lovely and surrounded by nature, owners couldn’t of been nicer and gave us a lift to our next hotel, which now I wish we didn’t book and should’ve stayed at dreamville longer

The private rooms really aren’t worth it for the price compared to other places in the area. They have no windows, the bed was super hard and the bathroom just generally looked quite unclean. We went in June so knew it wouldn’t be packed but there wasn’t a single other person at the hostel. Our friends stayed at the beach bodega and said it was much better so I’d say do that. The staff were great though and refunded us when we explained the rooms weren’t exactly like the photos or description. Like most places after covid it could do with a serious re vamp.
