Hyatt's hotel is a bit old, the facilities are old, the room is quite big, for the United States, such a five-star in the country can only be considered Samsung's place is generally OK! However, we booked the advanced king room and prepaid the full price to guarantee. After that, we still told us that the big bed room was gone, and finally only gave us a double bed! The front desk said that we would change it the next day but we didn't mention it until we checked out! We are not going to care about these when we go on a business trip! There are very few breakfast items. There are only five or six things besides omelet. The location is very good. It is in the city center and there are many restaurants nearby. Overall, Columbus is a small city and quiet, this hotel is not bad, give 4 points! Add a sentence, you can see the sunrise 🌅

Front desk was really friendly and location is close to campus but that is about all I can say about our stay here. When we checked in for the game they didn't inform us that they would be running a shuttle to the game so by the time we saw them they were all booked up. We had friends to our room the first night for pizza and beer. The next morning I requested housecleaning for the room because we had pizza boxes and empty beer bottles and no clean towels. The response was sorry you aren't eligible for housekeeping until the next day! So I explained and they didn't care, their response was set the trash in the hallway and come down to the front desk for clean towels. For over $300 a night, I wasn't expecting to do my own room cleaning, trash removal and towel service! Yes, they jack the room rates up over double for game weekends (I think that's called gouging).

This beautiful hotel fell short in many ways. We moved hotels for our second night. The room was clean and up to date but the mattress was uncomfortable, and the suite was frigid cold and took most of the night to warm. The suite was dark and poorly lit and the shower water pressure was poor, surprising for a hotel level above a Hilton. During the summer it might be nice, or if you are out all day for business but in the fall it was a bad choice. The hotel surprisingly didn’t have a hot tub. The breakfast was good and staff polite. The room came with a nice bag of treats. The eating area was highly wheelchair accessible.

We travel to Columbus 3-4 times/year to visit family and have stayed at several places near the airport including twice at this place. The previous stay here was some time ago and it was average at best but thought we'd give it another try for this visit of 6 nights. Not much has changed. The breakfast was sub-par for 5 mornings; cold scrambled eggs, partially cooked potatoes, ketchup and hot sauce only condiments available, omelets were terrible, choice of grape or grape jelly for toast, and one choice for a dry muffin with no other options for pastries. The check-in sheet says housekeeping upon request but that for guests staying 4 nights or longer a full clean will automatically be conducted every 5th day. Our room was never cleaned and we had to request clean towels twice before we were able to get them. On the plus side most of the staff were very friendly.

Had a great stay at Residence Inn while in Columbus for work. The hotel has cool vibes as a former bank, and the room had more of an apartment feel with a full fridge and stovetop. Chuck the valet was very helpful getting the car each time I needed it. Also the workout area was being renovated but they gave a guest pass to a local gym.

I choose this hotel for its proximity to Nationwide Area, as I was visiting for a Columbus Blue Jackets game. I arrived around noon that day. I was able to have the valet park my vehicle and was able to check in early that afternoon without any hassle. The room was clean and everything was functioning. The room had what I believe are barn style doors so guests could close a door to the bathroom and the sleeping area. Meals are not included with the room. There is a dining area on the first floor that has limited breakfast options. The hotel does have a rooftop bar. The bar was a very nice area, and the bartenders were very friendly when serving drinks. However, one view from the rooftop is that of a neighboring parking garage.

stayed two nights for a conference and it was my first time in Columbus. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and I felt very safe. The check in was smooth despite thousands of conference attendees in the area, I never had to wait long for an elevator, the bartenders were great conversationalists, the concierge was sweet and helpful, the bartender at the hotel bar was so nice, the bellman and the valets were very friendly and helpful. Brian was so kind when helping me with my car both times and even offered me a bottled water while I waited. I highly recommend staying here!

The university motif is lots of fun, with red being dominant color. I laughed at the blue/yellow urinals in the men's room of the lobby. The staff were all super helpful. We travelled with our two year old and all the staff were extremely friendly and eager to make sure we had a good stay. He loved the dining hall / library vibe of the lobby seating area. This location is a perfect spot. Easy to walk out the door with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Easy walk to Nationwide Arena. I would stay here again for sure!

AAmandaThe hotel is relatively close to the dormitory in the west of ous, within walking distance, there is a big supermarket next to it, and it is as convenient as a shopping mall. There are two buildings in the hotel, both of which are two-story houses surrounding the parking lot. They live on the first floor with a parked car at the door. Yinwq is not a hotel-like elevator building. It feels bad. I booked for two nights and only stayed for one. Late, wasted one night's room fee and went to another hotel.

GGuest UserUsually when I write a review, I can find plenty of criticism. However, this experience leaves me with no complaints. The bathroom is spacious. The seating area has an extra TV so the youngest could watch his TV while we watched ours. The TVs are smart TVs so he streamed Youtube. The beds and pillows were comfortable . The breakfast was fabulous with multiple options including an oatmeal bar, cheese and egg omelets, DIY waffles, scones, muffins, sausage, or biscuits and gravy. We were there two days and noticed that they change things up on the menu daily. The breakfast area was super spacious and was a comfortable environment. Everything was up-to-date and well-decorated. I felt completely safe with the safety measures this hotel took and it was in an area that seemed quite safe as well. The pool was a bit small and is only four feet, but my children had fun swimming anyway. I definitely plan on staying here again next time we are in town.

I found it odd tho that if your TV is too loud that they just turn off the sound to the TV instead of saying something. So the rest of my stay i watched things off my phone and swam. GGuest UserHandicap accessible room: A little disappointed: security latch was completely broken off; shower curtain was to short and water would splash out onto floor; shower floor around wall was old and brown looking from either age and/improper cleaning/ shower seat, when folded up was just dirty looking; overall, it is a little outdated and the room just didn’t feel or look clean.
Also, breakfast opens at 7:30 am! We needed to be on the road before breakfast is even an option! Not good for those who stay at this hotel for during the week and have time commitments! This was a big negative for us.

GGuest UserArrived to my room and realized I didn't get the room I booked 5 months ago. I went to the front desk and only then was I told they were overbooked and the I could not have the 2 double bed room and could only get a room with a pullout. They could have/should have told me that at check in. Tara told me there was nothing they could do. Finally she told me that since I used a corporate rate they could do nothing about the rate (which is NOT true), but she could give me points towards a future Marriott stay, so I had no choice and apparently them overbooking was my problem. So I agreed and she asked me if we needed anything. I told her that since we now have a pullout I would like an extra blanket for the pullout which she said she would have delivered to the room. We left the hotel shortly thereafter to go to the concert. When I arrived back at 11:45pm, I found that not only was the blanket never delivered, but there were NO sheets for the pullout. I called the front desk. He told me that he could get the sheets and blanket, but I would have to come get them, and not to come for 15 minutes. Really? So, I went down and waited for someone to show up at the front desk. Finally a saw the gentlemen I spoke to sitting in a chair in the back room at a desk on his phone. I asked him if anyone was getting sheets for me. He told me he was just about to do that. Really??? So he went to get them. After about 5 minutes he returned. No blanket. I asked him where the blanket was. He said ”right here”. I said no, that is a mattress protector, not a blanket. He said ”oh, come with me and I'll get you one”. So on the way to the housekeeping room he said ”I only saw some old brown blanket, do you want that?” Really??? So he handed me the old brown blanket that I'm pretty sure was made of sandpaper, and I returned to my room. So this is the service you get at Marriott? I was quickly reminded why I almost exclusively stay at Hilton properties. Additionally, the HVAC in the rooms barely works. I had it set at 67 all night and it never cooled off. This huge hotel was overbooked, and they have one person on staff for the entire place. What a disappointment.

Close to to bars, restaurants and on the edge of historic German Village with it's beautiful old homes and its quaint neighborhood. The only negative is it's not pet friendly, but otherwise I have had a comfortable long term stay. The convenient private parking and free internet are great for any type of stay or guest.

GGuest UserI'm writing this review on the second day of our stay (Labor Day), rather than waiting until after we check out tomorrow morning. At this point, I don't think there is anything they can do to improve my rating. My experience here has made the ONLY vacation I am able to have this year very disappointing. I based my choice on a hotel for my 3 day trip to Columbus on three things: 1. Convenient location to my planned activities (right between COSI & the Zoo and Aquarium). 2. That there is an open pool. 3. The ratings on this site. I will first address the positives (the only things keeping my reading from being 1 star), then I'll address the things that will concern all guests, and last I will address the things that impacted my specific criteria listed above. First: The front desk staff of all shifts were all friendly, helpful (to their capabilities), and personal. The front desk lady on 2nd shift of Sept 4th was concerned for my quality of experience and helpful with my requests. All of the first shift employees on Sept 5th (Labor Day) were friendly and helpful... Especially the gentleman cleaning up from breakfast, who assisted me in getting everything I needed despite the fact I overslept and came out to get breakfast at 8:50am. The breakfast options were great: waffles, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and juice. The food was delicious too. The 2nd shift lady at the front desk on Sept 5th was as helpful as she could be (explained below). I cannot speak for 3rd shift on Sept 5th because that hasn't happened yet but I am sure any potential experience will be positive, based on what has occurred so far. Every one of these employees deserve recognition from management and the company. Second: When I arrived, there was some sort of large party going on. The guests were so loud and rowdy that I could hardly hear the lady at the front desk as I was checking in and they could be heard all through the hallways. I understand that loud people are not the fault of the hotel and, thankfully, the room was the soundproof enough that it was nice and quiet. The room itself is in need of an update but the decor was nice, the beds were comfortable, and it smelled clean when we walked in. The clean smell is a bit of a deception though as it was only due to the deodorizer the spray in the room after house keeping us finished. I was happy with it at first but the longer we were in the room, the more I picked up on things that weren't right. To start it with, there were no washcloths with the hand towels and bath towels (which I suggest people bring their own because the hotel towels are child-sized, extremely thin, and rough). I asked a member of housekeeping for washcloths and was told ”We almost never have washcloths”. I asked a woman who appeared to be the housekeeping supervisor for washcloths and she walks down to laundry with me and managed to dig out two nice quality wash clothes from a large bin of freshly washed linens and towels. Rrander4484We booked this hotel online the pictures on the site that the hotel provided was not accurate at all. Was spending the weekend there for travel ball softball tournament. When we arrived we where iffy by just looking at area. We checked in arrived at our room the hotel was ran down looked like most people lived there. Trash piled up at cans, lose trash on ground. Walked into room and the smell of stale cigarettes and **** knocked you off your feet. Bathroom was dirty, holes in bedding, the microwave wasnt cleaned on inside or outside the refrigerator was dirty inside the microwave was missing the glass plate. Went straight back to front desk told them about the room and misleading photos they said would give our money back. When I checked my bank card I was refunded one night but then recharged my card. Called the lady she said give it 24-48 hours. After 48 hours nothing called in man I spoke with claimed to be management said 4-5 business days I called my bank explained to them the situation was told by them if money isnt back on in the 4-5 business days I need to file a dispute. Please save your self time and hassle and avoid this hotel at all cost. I included some of the photos I took.
