Stanmore Garden Bungalow

Chef azharuddin of stanmore garden bungalow was excellent with all his dishes. Every dish was soulful.we never felt away from hope. Mr mohan did an wonderful job explanating the terrain during off road trip.. thanks to nagaprabhu,manimaran and the entire team to host such a memorable holiday.

Food was delicious. There is a river behind this property frequently visited by elephants. River walk is arranged as complimentary. Location of the property and wooden chalet balcony view was excellent. We could spot some rare birds. Service and ambience was great. Early morning nature walk is organised in a different location and you have to reach the property using your own vehicle. They don't provide pick up and drop facility. They also have optional jeep safari for wildlife sightings.

The best holiday , we had the most wonderful time , spl mention to the team who took care of us so well , hats off to Roger (Binny), Pandidurai(SP) , (Action king) Arjun ,Muneesh( tour guide) Aanai, Gautham( cool dancer) Maha deva, and the others , Food was amazing and the chief chef was always there to make sure that everything was served hot and at its best . It was a feast !!! *The team gave us the most memorable holiday*

We had a wondeful stay in beautiful Stanmore Bungalow, the perfect end to our South India trip. Everything was superlative: stunning location, beautiful garden, constant birdsong chorus, very comfortable bedrooms and delicious meals. We stayed in two different rooms - first in a new-build wooden cabin with incredible views over the rolling hills patterned with tea plantations, then in a bedroom in the original, vintage-style bungalow, which evoked the lifestyle of the tea planters who lived there in bygone years. The friendly and attentive team, led by Roger, looked after us with great care, and kindly helped us to organise our forward travel plans, while the chef, Mr. Ramakrishna, served up a series of delicious and beautifully-presented meals. We are keen birders so on the nature walks our guide, Mohan, chose locations and routes that would interest us. Amongst many other uncommon species, we also saw a Great Hornbill!

Magnificent vacation ever. I wanted to explore Valparai with my husband and 10month old baby and searched umpteen number of websites to book a decent stay and I was disappointed as none matched. I finally stumbled upon an article which featured best places to stay and i enquired about Briar property-Stanmore bungalow and without further delay booked our stay from 25-dec-2022 to 28-dec-2022. Previous day we got a call from Me.Lingesh confirming our time of arrival. The journey was so beautiful and as soon as we arrived we were greeted by Mr.Roger and Mr.Lingesh who briefed us about the property and we were allotted a wooden chalet. The view from our room was breathtaking. Everything in the room was neat and tidy, be it wooden cupboards, side table or even the curtains. Looked like a lot of thought process was behind it. Every meal was mouthwatering. Huge spread of food to pick from and chef Ramakrishna takes special interest in catering to visitors tastebuds. House keeping staff were so humble and polite. 5/5 stars for reservation team, Mr.Roger, Mr.Lingesh, Mr.Mohan, Kanay, Chef Ramakrishna. They made us feel warm and welcome and our stay was blissful and I would recommend Stanmore to each and everyone who are visiting Valparai.

We stayed in chalet suite, which was suggested by Mr Pradeep ,who helped us in reservations ,and he kept checking on us till we reach back our home. We met very warm and caring people out there. Mr Roger was very kind and attentive to us ,he took care of each minute details and requests very humbly. Food was amazing, very thoughtful spread to cater both veg and non vegetarian guests. Staff members are very prompt and helpful ,it all felt like home. Chalet was clean and well arranged. The property is surrounded by tea plantations and a rivulet downside ,we were taken there by a guide who was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area. Nature walk around old briar bungalow was memorable. We enjoyed the bonfire too. Overall it was wholesome ,our souls are full of these moments and memories. Thank you Team Briar bungalows. We shall visit again.
